Found Deceased AR - Jordan Ross Simeon, 25, Never made it to Destination, Little Rock, 6 Mar 2022

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — It's been two weeks since a North Dakota man was reported missing in Arkansas.

Jordan Simeon, 25, was traveling down south to Louisiana when he had car trouble... and that was the last time he was heard from.

"He wouldn't go off and do a lot by himself like that, and especially not reaching out or talking to anybody is what makes it scary," said Jayla Simeon, Jordan's sister.

To Note:
•He was almost to his destination when his car broke down here in Arkansas at the White Oak Crossing Exit near Maumelle.
•He left all his belongings in the car.

This appears to be the area where his car broke down according to the article:
Interstate 40: New Exit 146 - White Oak Crossing - Arkansas - Interstate 411

And this is a lil concerning, IMO:
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office was investigating but tells THV11 Fargo, North Dakota's police department is the lead investigating agency.

In turn, Fargo tells us that it's Pulaski County Sheriff's Office who's in the lead.

I've been revisiting the towing questions - apologies if I missed these answered in MSM reports, etc.
Do we know if it was the sister, friend or Jordan who initially called a towing company?
How did the family / friends know that the car ultimately wasn't towed that night?
Was LE or family who ultimately had the car towed the next day?

Agreed; this article covers quite a few details.

To Note:
Sat. March 5

•Jordan Simeon left Fargo, ND, heading to New Orleans, LA.
•had contact with family and his friend, AD.
Sun., March 6
•had contact with AD during the morning and then around 4:30pm; JS said his car was broke down in Little Rock, AR.
•his family believes JS’s last communication was with a friend (via FaceTime) stating his car was broke down, he called roadside assistance, and a tow truck had arrived.
•his friend AD doesn’t believe a tow truck ever arrived
•AD sent JS money on Venmo and bought him a motel room for the night.
•AD called the Arkansas State Police when he didn’t ever check in to the hotel
•Arkansas State Police conducted a welfare check and did not find JS with his car
Mon., March 7
•AD checked with hotel again that morning
•AD immediately reported him missing and contacted his family
Thu., March 10
•it’s confirmed through Greyhound that JS never claimed his bus ticket to New Orleans

Specific dates unknown
•A Benton, AR officer went to the bus stop in Benton, AR to check video footage (this particular bus stop would have been JS’s first stop when heading to New Orleans)
•the Benton officer said he identified JS on the footage; Fargo PD said that particular individual was not JS; family has not seen footage

•Jordan’s 2014 green Kia Soul, sat on I-40, between the White Oak exit and the interchange to 430 near Little Rock until family arranged for it to be towed by the nearest repair shop where family later picked it up.
•the tow truck driver states that when he towed Jordan’s car, the keys were sitting on top of the vehicle.
•all his belongings/valuables were in the car
•vehicle was in good condition except the catalytic converter had been cut off of the car.
•the area where his car was towed (interstate and wooded area) has been searched.

There are a few things that standout and open more questions from the additional details...something still feels off.

Is there any confirmation that the car actually broke down and what repairs were needed? I know JS called family / friends that he broke down and the car was eventually towed, but never heard what was actually wrong.

Friend AD believes a tow truck never arrived...maybe JS actually didn't call roadside assistance? maybe he did and one never arrived, so he began walking? Still doesn't answer why JS told his friend one had arrived and would drive him to the hotel.

Interesting that the car keys were on top of the car. Surprisingly the individual/s who removed the catalytic converter didn't see them and remove all of JS's valuables left inside.

Jordan’s friend AD stated when she found out his car broke down, she booked him a motel at the Super 8 to stay the night but he never checked in.

She sent him 250 dollars through Venmo, and also ordered a bus ticket with Greyhound for the next day so he could continue his trip.

“Monday the 7th, he was supposed to get on the bus in North Little Rock and on Tuesday, the 8th he was supposed to arrive [in New Orleans] at 12:35 p.m.,” said Daigle.

The first stop on the Greyhound bus route was in Benton, Arkansas. The Benton Police Department investigated to see if Jordan was at the stop, but he wasn’t.

Cars run without catalytic converters. I wonder if it's possible that Jordan's was stolen before he embarked on his trip, and something about the theft caused his car to later break down or seem like it was breaking down. Apparently without a catalytic converter, cars ruin noisily and accelerate erratically. Could this have worsened during the trip and made him think the car was breaking down? I know nothing about cars, so please feel free to chime in if you have any car knowledge!

I believe the Dateline article stated family confirmed with the mechanic who serviced the vehicle pre-trip that the catalytic converter was present. It did get me thinking maybe it was removed when Jordan stopped for gas or a meal and led to him stopping on the Interstate.

The number of incidents involving people stealing catalytic converters off vehicles in many parts of Arkansas is unreal! I’ve lost count of the number of news articles I’ve recently come across on this around here.
I’d imagine it’s happening in other states as well…and he covered quite a few miles.
IF the catalytic converter was stolen after he left the car on the interstate, I’d think whomever would have scoped out the car and especially seen the keys laying there. ??

Something else that I keeping pondering is whether a tow truck actually pulled up as Jordan said to the friend? If one did, then that in itself is “sketchy”…but then I question why would he be untruthful about it?

Oh the questions!

Jordon Simeon - Disappeared

May 03

Name: Jordan Ross Simeon
Age: 25 years old
Last seen: March 7, 2022
Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas
Status: Still Missing

Case Information
25 year old Jordan Simeon was last seen in North Little Rock, Arkansas on March 7, 2022. He disappeared while on a road trip from Fargo, North Dakota to New Orleans, Louisiana.

Background
At the time of his disappearance, Simeon mentioned to his sister that he was having a hard time and wanted to relocate from North Dakota.

Disappearance
On March 5, 2022, Jordan Simeon packed up his belongings and set out on the 1000 mile long trip from Fargo, North Dakota to New Orleans, Louisiana.

Simeon was planning to move to New Orleans to start over with the help of his friend, Adonia Daigle, who was living there. On the road, he texted back and forth with her and his family.

On March 6, 2022, Simeon reached Arkansas and was driving down Interstate 40 when his car suddenly broke down at the White Oak Crossing Exit near North Little Rock. He called for roadside assistance and waited for a tow truck to arrive.

Around 4:30 pm, Simeon called his friend Daigle to inform her that his car had broken down on the side of the road. After advising him to get some rest that night, she booked a room for him at a Super 8 motel in North Little Rock.

Additionally, Daigle sent him $250 through Venmo and ordered a bus ticket for the next morning at North Little Rock so he could finish his trip. The bus was due to arrive in New Orleans on March 8th, around 12:35 pm.

Around 6:30 pm, Simeon last communicated with a friend through Facetime, saying the tow truck arrived and that they were going to give him a ride to his hotel.

Simeon never checked into the motel that night, and his vehicle was never towed. He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

On March 7, 2022, Daigle filed a missing persons report with the Arkansas State Police when she still hadn’t heard from Jordan and learned he never checked into the motel.

Investigation
Authorities found Jordan Simeon’s abandoned vehicle, a green 2014 Kia Soul with a silver bumper and a personalized North Dakota license plate that read ALIEN, on Interstate 40 East between White Oak Crossing and the interchange to 430.

The vehicle was in good condition, however the catalytic converter had been cut off of the car.

Simeon left behind some personal belongings inside the vehicle, including a Xbox video game console, a laptop, and a wooden keepsake box that belonged to his late mother. His keys were found sitting on top of the vehicle.

Authorities conducted a search of the area surrounding his car, on the interstate and woods behind it, but found no signs of Jordan Simeon.

His phone has been shut off since he went missing, and his social media has shown no activity.

There is no indication that Simeon ever made it to New Orleans, or that he returned to Fargo, North Dakota. The Greyhound bus ticket that was waiting for him in Little Rock was never claimed.

Whereabouts
Police found no evidence, means, or motive for foul play in Jordan Simeon’s disappearance. His case is currently active and ongoing.

The circumstances of Jordan Simeon’s disappearance remain unclear and his case is currently classified as missing. His case remains unsolved.
