AR - Josh Duggar Admits Molesting Girls As A Teenager - #2

I do know exactly what I'd do in this situation, since I was molested at age 13 by my uncle (mother's brother). I was too ashamed to report him and it took me years to tell my parents, and I wasn't believed when I did. But I never minimized it, and if I could today, I'd have him prosecuted. He's dead now, I did get the satisfaction of stomping on my grave, and I boycotted his funeral and never let him anywhere near my baby daughter. I never let him have access to me ever again at family functions no matter how hard my family tried to push us together (seating us at the same table, trying to get me to show him pictures, drive him, etc.), even if I risked getting in trouble for it. The money he sent me for my wedding I donated to a woman against rape group! And I got my own therapy as an adult. That's what I would and DID do!!!
Just caught my typo, and it's too late to edit- that should'a been his grave- not mine!!

If Josh was taught side hugs and modest dress, there is no way he could think touching private parts in girls is ok.

  • #923
With all due respect for the girls, I have to say I'm disappointed and shocked at their response to this, trying to brush off incestuous child molestation but they believe that it is not ok to hold hands until courting, no frontal hugs, and no kissing until marriage?

And they still want a TV show, all the crocodile tears, to me, say they just want the almighty $$$$.

SMH

Something just occurred to me- if the girls were supposedly asleep according to the Duggars and therefore "didn't know they were molested", how did it ever come to the Duggars attention??? Surely Josh didn't just voluntarily confess to them? The girls had to have known and said something initially...

JB and M lied. It's in the police report, each child described the abuse they received from Josh.

In one incident, one of their daughters ran out of the room disgusted by what they saw Josh do to a very young sister on his lap.

I also wonder why JB was allowed to speak LE for JDtheP[love the initials] when JDtheP was an adult.

JB spoke to the police because the kids the police were interviewing were underage. Josh, at this point, was an adult (he was 18 at this point) but still living in the home.

When it came time for them to bring Josh in for questioning, JB twice stalled them, saying Josh was lawyering up. Finally, one of the two lawyers JB tried to hire refused to take the case, one attorney even called the police to say that he was NOT taking the case and is NOT representing the Duggars (I assume one of the phone calls from the police to JB telling him to bring Josh down for questioning and saying he lawyered up, gave the police that lawyer's name and phone number).

Josh, to this day, has not been questioned.

I am just using this post to jump off into some theories of mine...

I am thinking the Megan Kelly interview with M and JB was scripted....

and that Megan mostly or completely relied on asking questions that M and JB had read/heard in the media...and that they wanted to respond to...

I can't help hoping that with all these revelations of lying by M/JB since the interview was aired.... That Megan will address THESE issues tonight... Or some time in the near future...

I am disappointed that she did not seem to "do her homework/research" prior to the interview... That she may have relied only on M/JB's complaints....

IMO... Ethically speaking... I feel these glaring inconsistencies should be addressed on her show now....

I'd be willing to bet that some girl told him to confess or else. If true that the girls didn't know maybe someone looked like she was awake anyway even though she was sleepy and didn't remember, and Josh thought he was busted and wanted to get brownie points for confessing before the sister could tell.

Perhaps because the area is insular, socially speaking. Small towns seldom have lawyers willing to take on a case like that.

Do you have a link to the golf incident? I can't find it..although I'm sure I'll later regret it.
I cannot stop thinking about this grotesque mini golf situation. It's truly sickening. I would venture to say almost all non religious people would find that behavior IMMORAL. Futher that , I'm sure many homosexuals would find that behavior IMMORAL. There is nothing Godly or Biblical about simulating sex in public and in front of children. It's absolutely sickening behavior. I have been to many MANY throw down, drink all night parties with folks the Duggars would certainly have on pitchforks and I have never, not even at 2 a.m. seen any person do this, not even in jest. The most outrageous ' vulgar' if you will act may have been a slap on the butt to someone passing and typically that was the spouse or SO of the slapper. I'm shocked and I'm not. What in the he** is up with JimBobDuggar? Why are you worried about the " WHOLE FAMILY" being investigated? What gives ?

That is exactly what M and JB say happened. Their very good boy came to them with a soft conscious and confessed to the first ' series' of acts related to sisters asleep in their beds. Clearly that talk went so well, the behavior escalated some months later .

There is a bit of opinion on here as well and it's over a year old so this was NOT put together in the last two weeks.

... and involved an act with a non-family girl, inside the Duggar home.

Maybe someone else would look and check me but from the reports it really seems like someone told on him then he confessed.

The first report gave me that impression too with the redacted bits but

says that the person who told the parents in March 2002 had just turned 14. That would be Josh (DOB March 3, 1988 )

oh lordy, Jessa and Jill, please de-program yourself ....

“Some people, I've heard them say, you know, ‘You're hypocrites.’ Well, if you go back and look at everything people have seen in our lives…we've never claimed to be a perfect family," an emotional Jill tells Kelly in the clip. “My parents have always actually stated…we are not a perfect family. We are just a family.”

Adds Jessa: "With challenges and struggles just like anybody else."

PUHLEEESEE! The show must go on!!!

and more ...

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s daughters reveal that they made the decision on their own to sit down with Kelly and discuss what happened. “As victims we have to come out and speak. This is something we chose,” Derick Dillard’s wife says in the Kelly File interview. “Nobody asked us to do this. Jessa and I were talking and we’re like, ‘Oh my goodness! Most of the stuff out there is lies — it’s not truth.’ So for truth’s sake, we want to come out and set the record straight.”

That's right, nothing happened .... give us our spin-off show!!!!!!!!!!

then Jessa says:

“It’s right to say, ‘Here’s what I believe, here’s my values,’ even if you’ve made stupid mistakes or failures,” Ben Seewald’s wife, 22, tells Kelly. “If you’ve had failures in your past it doesn’t mean you can’t be changed. I think that’s where, I think the real issue is people are making this sound like it happened yesterday.”

So they want to set the record straight, don't mind those two pesky police reports and Josh suing the DHS at the time, over this .. ugh!

The obsession with sex in that family is bizarre. Everything focuses around sex. Why?

Trying to catch up here and haven't even commented about all of this yet, BUT had to put my 2 cents worth in about your question.

Can you just imagine how much sex has gone on between those parents? The Duggar parents have been going at it like rabbits, IMO. My son and first daughter were 3 years apart, then my last daughter was 8 years later. Do you know anyone who gets pregnant every single time they have sex? I certainly do not. Out of 19 kids, can you just imagine how much sex it took? OMG.

Everything is all about sex in that house. The older ones know where babies come from and know what Mom and Dad are up to 24/7, LOL!

I am so furious at the parents and their child molester/pedophile (IMO) son Josh. If they know of 5 victims, then I would bet there are many more. If Josh had the propensity to molest 5 times, then he has and will molest many, many more. I just have to wonder how many more victims there are and know that he is probably still at it.

The parents are the ones who have put sex front and center in that family, IMO.

Have they read the police reports?!??!!?

"Josh was a boy, a young boy in puberty and a little too curious about girls," says Jessa. "And that got him into some trouble. And he made some bad choices, but, really, the extent of it was mild – inappropriate touching on fully clothed victims, most of it while [the] girls were sleeping."

Josh was 15 years old, his youngest prey was his sister who was 5 years old, and the police report and JB & M said that there was touching UNDER the clothes. Don't these people know how to keep their lies straight?

Jill, 24, adds that they "didn't even know" about the molestation until Josh had confessed to their parents. "None of the victims were aware of what happened until Joshua confessed," Jessa agrees, adding, "My parents took [us] aside individually, and they said, 'Here's what happened,' and of course at this point, you're shocked."

"I was scared," says Jill, but she adds that she was also "sad" to hear about what her brother had done, "because this is my older brother, who I love a lot. It's conflicting."

Ben Seewalds wife 22 and Derick Dillards wife ------ No-one called Michelle - JBD's wife (50 something). How demeaning.

So this it the report that states what the parents said but I think the individual reports from the girls mentioned they went and told their parents or dad. But I have to go back and read it to be sure.
