It's been nearly a week since MJ and her two siblings have seen their mother, Joynell Brandon.
"It's been very challenging each day that we don't hear her voice, see her face, or just know where she is," explained Marquisia 'MJ' Johnson, Joynell Brandon's daughter.
According to Pine Bluff police, Brandon was last seen on Tuesday, May 13, while on University Avenue.

"Maybe nine o'clock, whenever we took her over to a family friend's house, which is a guy that's been in our family around for a long time, and he's very trustable. He informed us that she was picked up by the guy in the white box truck from his residence," Johnson described. She was told that her mom was dropped off around the corner from their home rather than at their doorstep.

"I also received a message from my mother around 1:56 a.m. asking to please open the door. But all of us know my mother. She doesn't text in complete sentences, and that message was a little off to me. I got up to open the door. She never came home," Johnson said.

I came across Joynell's profile listing recently added to NamUs. I hope she is located safe soon.

I have a few questions:

- Who claimed she was dropped off around the corner from her home? Is the driver of the white box truck known?
- Was the white box truck caught on CCTV anywhere?
- Does her friend she was visiting or the truck driver have any kind of criminal history?
- Did LE look for CCTV in the area near where she was visiting or near the area she was allegedly dropped off?
- Has she ever "disappeared" for a few days? Did she have some other friends who were maybe not trustworthy?

A $100,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff woman who offered to exchange a missing person for money.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge IT, 31, with theft by deception.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said police are conducting an investigation into a missing person that was reported May 14. Previous news released identified that person as Joynell Brandon, 34, who was last seen in the area of University Drive.

''Thompson was charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse.
On Wednesday, he appeared before a judge for his plea and arraignment, with Brandon's family in attendance. He pleaded not guilty to the charges, with his bond set at $1 million.
"This is a rocky roller coaster. It's not easy at all," Johnson said as the family stood close by - holding onto one another.
The family emotionally recalls the journey and events of missing their loved one, Joynell.''

According to an affidavit:
Records show that she reportedly left with Thompson in a white box truck to go to All-n-One Wholesale Warehouse.

However, Thompson told investigators he dropped her off within a block of her home and didn't know where she went after.

Court documents state that they found a 9mm shell casing under the passenger seat, and that was enough for investigators to tow the car for a search warrant.

The warrant said they found a Glock 17, which fits the casings, inside Thompson's home.

Then, in July, the state crime lab confirmed that Brandon's blood had been found inside the truck.
