I'm confused. Was she found alone or in her car?
From what I've read, she was found alone, inside a car, in water 100 miles away from her home/area she was last seen. IMO

This case has me befuddled. Was her friend with her when she left the bar? And who is this Larry Brown Jr. person?

I know it's not particularly relevant (to this case) but how does a car float, not sink?
Physically speaking, something floats if it weighs less than the volume of water it displaces, which can be a lot if it doesn't fill up with water. A relatively new car like this one's passenger compartment is likely to be fairly airtight and crossover type vehicles in particular have pretty large passenger compartments proportionate to their weight/size. It's one of the reasons they're popular.

Now, assuming that the reason the car was floating is that a buoyant quantity of air was trapped in the passenger compartment that means the doors and windows were all shut and remained shut (and intact). I can speculate two possible scenarios to explain that. One, she was already dead when the car went into the water and two, she was alive for some time in the car breathing the trapped air, unable to escape until she suffocated. Neither of these is very pleasant so I would be happy to hear any other plausible theories.

There are several reported instances where Jeep Cherokees have floated in rivers. ‍♀️

Wow that hurts my head. I really wish I took Physics in high school. That's when it all went wrong for me.

Had to be more than one person since her car was found in the river. Some had to follow them so they had a ride out or had a boat in the river to leave the scene. That’s the only 2 ways out of that area. One would assume whomever committed crime knew the area.

Welcome to Websleuths. One would probably assume accident or suicide with the information so far available but circumstances warrant staying tuned for additional information that may challenge that assumption.
