LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a missing woman who was last seen on Saturday.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Kelsey Brooks was last seen on Aug. 8, at her home in Alicia.

Deputies say the family has not heard from Brooks since Saturday.

Brooks is 25 years old, stands 5 feet 2 inches, weighs approximately 150 pounds, has blue eyes and brown hair.

Brooks has several tattoos, one on her left and right arm, abdomen, and lower back. Brooks also has a scar under her right arm.

Deputies have no known travel or clothing description of Brooks, but say she may also give the name of Kelsey Joslin or Kelsey Mathis.

Her FB shows her with two children. The "alias's" may be previous married name(s).

...found the body of 25 year old Kelsey Brooks Joslin and authorities have detained Jaylene Joslin. The body was discovered on property near Alicia.

After poking around on her FB it appears Jaylene Joslin is likely her husband. Rest in peace, Kelsey. Justice is on its way.

Arkansas State Police

STATE POLICE CID ASKED TO JOIN LAWRENCE COUNTY DEPUTIES IN DEATH INVESTIGATION

The body of Kelsey Joslin, 24, of Alicia has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for purposes of an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department yesterday (Monday, August 10th) requested the Arkansas State Police to join them in an investigation into the whereabouts of Joslin after family members became concerned about her wellbeing.

Late Monday Joslin’s body was located on the property at 8 Lawrence Road 739, where Joslin resided with Jaylane Joslin, 29, her husband.
Jaylane Joslin is currently being held at the Lawrence County Jail while the death investigation is continuing.
