Cpl. Steve Hernandez, spokesman for the Searcy Police Department, said no foul play is suspected in the toddler's disappearance.

Volunteers gathered shortly after 9 a.m. near the house to begin combing the area. Groups went in opposite directions, peeking under exposed crawl spaces, walking through backyards and checking behind bushes and in overgrown grass.

One woman crawled on her on stomach underneath a porch, using her cellphone flashlight to clear the area. Another man sifted through the wreckage of a demolished home that sits just across the street from where Malik disappeared. But there was still no sign of him as the search continued shortly before 11 a.m.

#FindMalik: FBI joins search for missing child

SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) – The FBI has joined in on the search for Malik Drummond, a 2-year-old boy who was been missing since Sunday night. Arkansas State Police issued a Morgan Nick Amber Alert on the night of his disappearance.

Volunteers are now searching a creek on the other side of Beebe Capps Expressway for any signs of the child

But I don't understand where the other story came from---that mom took twin sis to Doc appt, and got a call from Dad. That is so specific. Would a reporter just make that all up?

I am still a bit hinkied out by that aspect.

Hi Katydid, If you go back to page 1 and the beginnning of page 2 I posted the following information. There were posts on facebook (rumor) that claimed the mom took the daughter to a Dr. appt when Malik went missing. Then I posted an actual video interview with mom where she said she had recieved a call from Malik's dad informing her of the situation and that she came home at that time. I later posted an article from MSM that reported the father had said mom was in the bathtub. Which is accurate? I'm going with the video of mom, since I actually saw her say it on video. MOO

There is a mom & a step mom. Step mom was in the bath. Mom got a phone call. Not sure about the dr...maybe there is another sister? Just my interpretation of the confusing facts.

FBI is now involved... Doesn't sound like they think he wandered off does it? Does FBI get involved that soon if they don't suspect foul play? Maybe they think someone took him after the fact?
Searcy is a bible town... It's also the home to a lot of "crack heads". Biting my nails waiting on news about the baby!

Yesterday at 6:30 PD got a call from 710 W. Park, re: missing child.
2 1/2 yr old male child, reported to be autistic had wandered off 45 min prior to the call.
Several neighbors out looking. Officers gathered info and immediately entered M into data base for Natl. Center Missing Exploited Children

PD began grid search from residents until it eventually reached a pretty large area.
A group from memphis with bloodhound type dogs responded and contacted us and offered help.
The dogs searched the area for approx. 4 hours with no success.
