I wonder how long Malik was with his father? I mean the bio mom had stated on FB that she was taking care of 3 kids and doing well for herself for being 24 at the time. It seems she may have custody but I'm not sure. If we knew how long he was there then at least we'd know a round about time frame that he could have been missing without anyone mentioning it, especially if they had any hand in it.

It's getting close to midnight here and my DH is on my back about getting off the computer. I'm going to have to keep up on my phone, no way can I go to sleep :(

:grouphug: :please:

Not much new.

Divers have been in the water - taking turns.

The tip came in last night.

The boat landing is about 4 miles from Malik's home.

Still searching. They didn't say for how long.

Thanks! Yeah, they said the boat landing so I think that's the spot. It makes sense since it's accessible by car - no way did Malik walk that distance.

No, he couldn't walk that far. And if he did and walked into the river, it wouldn't be a cadaver dog that sniffed it out.

If he had walked to the water... would the scent dogs still be able to smell it now? Maybe those dogs should be sniffing somebody else's shoes to see who walked to the water.

I wonder why there is an emergency rescue vehicle there? For the searchers? It would be so nice if they found him alive, but after all this time I don't think they will. :(

WTH? No breaking news so who knows what's happening. Maybe you're right - for one of the divers maybe? The water's cold. Or maybe they're just collecting the divers for the night and are being cautious about hypothermia.

I think Malik's not going to be found alive at this point, considering the cadaver dog hit. Sigh. :(

I keep having flashbacks from Haleigh Cummings case. Especially now that they are searching the river. I don't have a good feeling about the outcome of this search but I hope he is found rather than still looking for him five years from now with no answers.

Ambulance could be precautionary for the divers, maybe they are preparing to enter the water?

Who would have known enough to give the tip? Was it a passerby that saw someone suspicious along the riverbank? Or was it someone involved?

This must be a pretty substantial tip !
