BENTON (KATV) -

James Gilliam, 32, is reported to have made contact with a male juvenile online, picked the juvenile up at his house and took him to another city where he allegedly provided him with drugs and then raped him.

Police say Gilliam was also charged in November 2013 in a case involving the rape of a juvenile.

He was initially given a $1,000,000 bond on these charges when the arrest warrant was signed by a circuit court judge on Tuesday. At a bond hearing in district court Wednesday, Gilliam's bond as reduced to $100,000.

But hey, his second bond is 10x higher than his first bond. So I am guessing if he is accused again, he will finally get that 1,000,000 bond. Ain't our justice system just great?

I didn't see a bond listed for the first one. But the prosecutor was on the BUZZ and while he couldn't talk about this specific case, he did say that bondsmen didn't require $100000 on a 1 mil. bond so there was no difference. Yes, our justice system is grand. SMH

"In his previous arrest, Gilliam was charged with similar crimes in Nov. 2013 involving a rape of a juvenile and released on a $10,000 bond."
