Police believe the two neighbors planned to go to Eureka Springs.

On July 12, Rhodes' home burned down. A week later, police found DeSort's GMC Yukon abandoned near Bauxite.

On July 7, the day before the two women disappeared, DeSort's husband took a plea deal in a case related to the alleged kidnapping of a woman last year. Michael Robert-Weser, 51, was sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to aggravated assault, domestic battery, and terroristic threatening. A kidnapping charge against him was dropped

Early the morning of July 8, DeSort made this Facebook post:
"I'm done in this place, I don't feel wanted any place I land so I'm just gonna drive till the wheels fall off or the gas runs out. I'm hurting and no one understands being drug around with a pistol to your head and him actually pulling the trigger. If that gun would have gone off I would not here. I guess you could say I'm lucky, but I wish it would have just gone off."

Here's where coincidences get disturbing: in January, Robyn filed an order of protection against her husband, 51-year-old Michael Robert-Weser.

In February, Weser was arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, domestic battery, and terroristic threatening in connection to the alleged kidnapping of a woman January last year.

He pled guilty to all except the kidnapping charge, which was dropped. But surprisingly, he was only sentenced to 3 years' probation.

Weser was convicted of those charges on July 7—the day before Robyn and Denise went missing.

Looks like he had 2 accomplices?

During the investigation, it was determined that the offenders, Michael Weser, age 51 and Kaylee Reeves, age 26, physically assaulted, threatened to use a deadly weapon, and forced a victim to leave her home. The victim’s phone was also taken from her, and she was left stranded on the opposite end of the county.

Both Weser and Reeves were arrested and charged. Weser was charged with:

• Kidnapping,
• Domestic Battering in the Second Degree,
• Terroristic Threatening,
• Aggravated Assault,
• Theft of Property,
• Interference with Emergency Communications, and
• Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.

Reeves was charged with:

• Kidnapping,
• Terroristic Threatening,
• Theft of Property,
• Interference with Emergency Communications, and
• Battering in the Third Degree.

A search warrant was conducted at Weser’s residence where several firearms and electronic communications devices were seized for examination.

After arresting Weser and Reeves, Deborah Steele, age 70, was also arrested and charged with Kidnapping.

Detectives are still working this case, and will release more information once it is concluded.

Thanks! I didn't link his tie to his ex from court documents when I posted as he wasn't at that time, named as a POI in the dissapearance of the two. This gets more disturbing the more that's uncovered.

Hello everyone! I am actually from this area and I do know Kaylee Reeves and I have met niecy(Denise). I may be able to provide some more information.

Before I continue I will say I believe Micheal did something to both Robyn and Niecy. I have never met him before but everyone in the area knows he is extremely volatile due to meth and acute anger issues, for example a cousin of mine was in a vehicle with Micheal and he randomly started to fire a handgun in the cab of the vehicle. The other thing I will make clear is that I do not like Kaylee, she is a friend of some family members of mine and I don’t agree with her choices or what accounts for logical in her mind. With that being said I can guarantee Kaylee was not involved in this at all. Her and Robyn didn’t see eye to eye but Niecy talked to Kaylee often when she was incarcerated in the county jail. Niecy was talking to detectives while Kaylee was in jail trying to prove to them it was a case of wrong place, wrong time, and wrong associates. There is a whole slew of other details to that that I will have to get clarification on before I can comment on the previous arrest of Micheal but I do know for a fact that Robyn’s post about having a gun to her head is 100% true and that he transported her in a vehicle to a different area of saline county and dropped her off, that is where the kidnapping charge comes into play. Now the house being burned down I wasn’t able to get much information due to an open investigation but neighbors had seen a body being pulled out of the remains of the house. I was informed that the remains were not human in nature so I believe it was one of Niecy’s dogs. My thoughts are that the reason they have Micheal on unrelated charges is due to it being a probation violation I believe they can hold him for 90 days while they investigate. There is rumors going around the area that his cousin possibly burned down the house due to a conversation from the past but I am not able to confirm those accusations due to it coming from a third party. I hope they find them soon, from the times I’ve met Niecy she is a nice lady.
