Day is the lead investigator for the Mountain Home, Arkansas police department and OzarksFirst spoke to him about the investigation that led to the arrest of Daniel Wright and Jaclyn Barnett.

The teen has been removed from the home - but the two younger kids are still there?

What horrible adults. And sad, that after apparently many "cases" had been opened on this family by people reporting abuse, that this wasn't discovered earlier.

Court documents we obtained show those hotline calls were made over the course of a decade beginning in 2013. Those calls are handled by the Arkansas Department of Human Services. Police say records show state workers determined all the calls to be “unfounded” except one.

There were 29 calls over 10 years made to the hot line. All but one were unsubstantiated. This time the downstairs neighbors called 911, Police showed up at the door and the 10 & 11 year old kids let them in. The 15 year old was locked in the bathroom, naked & hungry.

Parents say the Police misunderstood. The bathroom door was shut & locked with a ratchet strap tethered to the bed to keep it closed, but the parents say it was done to keep the kids out of the bathroom due to a leaky faucet. 29 calls over 10 years, thank goodness they will have to do better than that.

Daniel Wright and Jaclyn Barnett, the so called parents were arrested, he bonded out with $50g, she is still in custody. These 2 have everything they deserve coming at them.
