Hopefully friends or family member would be willing to be verified here and share what they are coming up with. And area locals as well, so much valuable information that helps out the pieces together to find missing persons. Prayers Ms Sherry,we are looking give us a sign. MOO

Re: the daughter-in-law's comments, someone should tell her that "disappearing" is when you're gone and have NO contact with anyone. She clearly says the times Sherry "disappeared" before, she always checked in often with family and friends:rolleyes:
If that was my mother and my spouse said that, I would not be a happy camper.

There's a difference between taking time away from things but staying in touch, and disappearing without any contact with a single soul.

The son has posted some information in the same vein on his own Facebook. Interesting conversation ensued.

They're simply using the word "disappear" to mean something different than we are. Some people use the word "disappear" to mean "going away spontaneously". "Appear", after all, does connote that she would be physically there.

I haven't seen her son's page, but I read some interesting conversations on the Newton County Sheriff's Dept FB page under missing post. Some by someone who might be her husband.

Wow! Found it. Hard to read as it is not well written. But interesting just the same.

Do we know exactly where in Ponca her car & belongings were found?
Was it at the Buffalo Outdoor Center or on the side of a road, or different attraction? Parking lot?

I've been wondering this too, exactly where the car was found (in Ponca), but I haven't seen anything yet.

On another note, while I was checking the Sheriff's office FB post again, I noticed LE had posted a still image from the surveillance video (as a comment on 12/2).

Adding here for reference:
Newton County Sheriff's Office Arkansas Here is photo from video taken inside Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca on Friday, November 22nd, showing Sherry Babcock in what we believe she may have been wearing when she went missing. If you have information, please contact the Newton County Sheriff's Office at 870-446-5124.

Took me a bit to find him and what a blasted mess this all is.

It took me a while to find it, too. And I agree...it is a bigger mess than the media is showing.

It's absolutely disgusting and outrageous, and some of it has absolutely nothing to do with Sherry being missing! I'm sorry, but there's just some things you don't discuss on social media- that goes lower than "below the belt" for me.

Sadly, she was found deceased
Body Of Missing Kansas Woman Found By Loggers In Newton County
[Detective Mike] Blocker says loggers came across Babcock’s body at 10:00 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 9). The exact location was not released.

The body was collected by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office and sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.

[...]

Foul play is not suspected at this time, Blocker said. Though, it is unclear what caused her death.

While I suspected she was no longer alive, I didn't expect this. We don't where her vehicle was found or where she was found. But I would have thought LE would have used tracking dogs around her vehicle and if there wasn't a trail from her vehicle to her body I would think that make the circumstances somewhat suspicious. She was found on a logging trail!??! While hunting in the deep south, I've used logging trails to get to hunting areas. They are deeply rutted from the logging trucks and are usually not the most scenic of paths. That also makes me suspicious.

Rest in peace, Sherry. Heartbreaking.

They don't suspect foul play at this time? Perhaps that will change.

Same thoughts here! I wouldn’t think taking a scenic walk down a logging trail would be on an individual’s list of things to do while visiting a state (like AR).
I say that for a few reasons. Like you stated @JnRyan, logging trails I’m familiar with here in AR are a mess-large ruts, hard to walk down, & not very scenic....Plus, she was in an area of the state that has so many different activities and outdoor attractions she could have decided to do..(I’m sure there wasn’t a logging trail brochure on the wall at BOC as a tourist attraction where she was seen on video).

Is it known for a fact that she was all alone for any part of this excursion? Certainly doesn’t feel accidental imo.. but did she take her own life? :(
