Pictured here is Sherry Patton.
She is approximately 57 years old.

She was last seen driving a gold GMC truck at Washburn Park in the City of Russellville.

Her truck was recovered today (6/24/2021) at Washburn Park. She has not been located.

Sherry was reported missing on 12/15/20 by her mother in Illinois.

If anyone knows where she is please contact the Russellville Police Department Detective Division/ Lt. Glenn Daniel. Thank you all.

eading through comments it appears her truck has not been at Washburn Park for the last 6 months that she’s been missing.

Strange circumstances with this case, IMO

So strange! I can't decide if I think she's still in the area, or if someone else "placed" the truck there? I can't find anything to go on. Frustrating!

I wonder if there are any cameras at the park.

I wonder if there are any cameras at the park.

Unlikely. It looks to be mostly wooded creeks and run off from the Arkansas River with some walking/bike trails. I am personally unfamiliar with this particular park, but from the aerial, it would be a good place to leave a body. The "park" area is easily accessible from I-40 (the main artery of US freeways and stomping grounds to several active serial killers) so she could have pulled off, but there are half a dozen better, well lit, places to pull off that the driver passed to head for a bit of swamp. Russellville is a small city, with a state university and a whole lot of truck stops. And that really doesn't explain where she has been for the last six months or where she is now.

The longer I look the less sense it makes. Whoever parked the truck there was familiar with the location. It is not well marked and there is only one way in and out that hasn't been gated and locked. Via Street View, the only markings are a sign on either side of Lake Front Drive at the turn.

This park was selected on purpose.

I’m not quite sure if Washburn park has cameras. It’s a fairly nice park. It’s not large but it does offer walking trails that people use on a regular basis. There are picnic areas and sits right on the water. There’s also access to the Bona Dea Trails & Sanctuary as well. It seems like a park that is utilized quite a bit (so constant traffic). IMO, a vehicle sitting there for quite some time would not go unnoticed, so I’m sure the comments are accurate that her truck wasn’t there the entire 6 months.
The question I have is did she park her truck there or did someone else?

I also wonder how long Sherry has been down in Russellville?
Has she lived here a majority of her life? From here? Was Sherry visiting and then came up missing?
If visiting from, let’s say IL, did she know people in Russellville or AR in general?

Hmmmm.

A very long time between last seen & truck located. So, where has it been?

Overview/features of Washburn Park

Washburn Park
This link provides some photos; it shows trails/wooded areas/etc

Bona Dea Trails & Sanctuary in the city Russellville
This site offers a lot of photos of the area.
Also the comments give a pretty good sense of how “rural” the park trails & water can feel.
One comment even mentioned how security cameras would be a good safety feature to have for the park.

Russellville PD commented under their original post:
There are some very good questions from many of you so we have edited the original post for clarity.
Sherry was first reported missing from IL on 12.15.20 by her mother in IL.
Her truck was found on 06.24.21 at Washburn Park in Russellville AR.
Sherry has been seen in town recently so it is believed she is still local.
