He's had a missing persons report for 6 1/2 years now, however my his mom is the one who reported him missing while also battling dementia and then she forgot he was Missing and nothing ever came of it until 2 weeks ago when we made it to Arkansas from Cali and went and talked to a detective to get his case opened up.

Warren "Chris" Coney Missing in Mexico

Curious if Chris was from Little Rock and if so how long he lived there before he went missing?
Was a trip to Mexico something he’s done before?
Was the trip planned or more of a spur of the moment decision?

Chris was from Russellville AR but he lived back and forth between Mexico and Russellville. He was very comfortable in Mexico and Panama. He would stay in Mexico for a few months, calling every month. Then come home. He had done this for the last 10 years before he went missing.

I’m bumping for Chris. Hard for me to contribute too much to this one because the disappearance was apparently in Mexico, which I don’t like for obvious reasons.

I know some parts of Mexico can be dangerous, but given where he would go, I have doubts that just “being in Mexico” itself automatically has implications of danger and mystery, or whether he would visit areas where an American might have been a target for financial reasons. On the surface it would seem the biggest problem with the disappearance taking place in Mexico is cooperation between nations in solving the case. What info I am shown publicly suggests that he did actually get to Mexico (as opposed to disembarking the bus while still in the U.S.)

It’s not much of a boost, but I do think technology and a bigger American presence in Mexico in recent years tilts cooperation and chances for resolution slightly better than 40 years ago, but not by a whole lot.

Would need more pertinent info to even begin to theorize what may have happened down there. Hopefully he just decided to cut ties because that would mean he is alive, but obviously I wouldn’t want to assume that, and this case in general gives me the heeby jeebies, mostly because of the far away international part. I would lose my head if someone I loved vanished abroad.
