Maybe I missed it elsewhere, but I thought that Nevada paroled Garrido immediately to a halfway house in Oakland, CA for three months. He then moved immediately to his mother's house in Antioch.

Garrido goes outside the box in so many ways. When you think of pedofiles, usually you don't think of prostitute murderers. Because they either have an attraction for kids or adults. Usually pedos have a specific age range too. Either they like little kids, prepubescent, pubescent or teens. Either boys or girls. But I hesitate to say that about PG. He has already admitted to hanging around and exposing himself to the little 6 and 7 year olds. He kidnapped and raped an adult woman. He kidnapped, raped and imprisoned and 11 year old. So he is outside any of the common thinking.

Another thing that is out of the usual box is that he included a woman in a sex crime. That is rarely seen now. But the fact that he included Nancy back then is real unusual.

I hope that when Jaycee is stronger, she will be able to tell her story what she knows from when she was kidnapped til present.

I don't know where PG stayed when in Reno, after his release from the halfway house, but I would think he would return to familiar surroundings. I found it interesting that his old residence on 1855 Market St. (at the time of 1976 rape- according to the police report ) is only 3.9 miles from the Chia childrens' apt. on 800 Redfield Parkway.

interesting...I wonder how close he was to Monica DaSilva's home...if I remember correctly, she lived about 5 miles from the Chias...which would put her either 8 miles from PG OR less than 2....I will have to see if I can find more information on her.

ETA: found her address. 3.6 miles from PG's Reno address...and (possible coincidence??) her family was from California.

Great article DrD. I am glad you aren't excluding Garrido just because Nancy wasn't in the picture at the time of Anna's abduction.

Just an idea - - I am wondering about Jaycee's and her daughter's clothing. It occurred to me that the clothes might have been taken from other VICTIMS.

I forget in which article - - someone, perhaps a client of Garrido's printing business, commented that her clothes all seemed to be the wrong size. I've also read comments that the girls were seen wearing clothing which was too young for them, dresses in particular.

Generally, when there's a disappearance, what the missing person was wearing is mentioned. Would be interesting if those are any of the clothes we can see on the rack in the tent.

There was just a press conference on CNN announcing that Dublin PD has joined Hayward PD in searching the Garrido backyard for evidence in Ilene Misheloff's case, as well as Michaela Garecht. Apparently new info has come out by a witness that Ilene was spotted getting into a sedan much like Garrido's, and he was newly out on parole then. I think I'm going to be sick.:sick: If Ilene is discovered, I will go buy a bouquet of flowers and leave them at the Misheloff home.
