I would think in this day and age with so much drug abuse, that full toxicology testing should be performed when there is death of a child in the care of an adult.

As far as I know, no information has been released about any drug or alcohol testing was done on CS. I don't believe it was done, likely because the officers were treating everything as a terrible accident and likely did not want to further upset the wife and children. He should have at least had a breathalyzer. It really should have been standard procedure in cases such as this to do full tox testing on him My opinion only

Well, we know he was taken to Banner Hospital ER so there was no reason not to do one! These LEOs have seemed to know what was what from the get go. They treated him with all the respect of a grieving parent (even if it didn’t apply) but didn’t let him push them around. One noted he was drinking a beverage (that I thought they took when they left) so here’s hoping they got his BAC & it will be revealed when Christopher goes to trial.

I would not think that was a standard thing to do for only a legal blood draw. Often time there are phlebotomists on-call for legal blood / alcohol testing that are called to a site where the perported perp is, to keep purely legal issues out of the clogged ER's

He was taken there to meet Erica when Parker was declared. Remember the bathroom situation when Christopher wanted to shower? LE told him they would take him to the hospital but he couldn’t shower first in case there was any evidence that would be washed away. They weren’t letting him out of their sight.

I’m hoping & assuming since the LEO at the house noted his “beverage” they would’ve wanted his BAC too. Maybe he pitched a fit & it didn’t happen but it didn’t seem to phase the officers when they came to arrest him, they had a job to do and Christopher Scholtes crying didn’t stop them.

LE wasn’t taking Chris to meet Erika at work. What happened was she arrived home from work and asked Chris where Parker was, at which time they ran out to the car and removed Parker and called 911.

While at the house either the police or paramedics noticed a glass with a liquid in it. Hopefully the liquid was tested and hopefully Chris had a blood draw to test for alcohol but right now there doesn’t seem to be any information about either.

I sure hope everyone did their due diligence in investigating Parker’s death, it’s the least that should have been done on her behalf.

But yeah, that whole bathroom scene is bizarre. What parent even thinks about showering while their child is receiving CPR in hopes of saving her?

Having CS testify is a bad idea. He isn't likeable. To anyone. The theft of the alcohol will come in, his treatment of his older daughter. Questions about his drinking.

His "memory" issues? Let's just makeup a disability day? Same as the plan for Kohberger, turning a serial killer into a babbling helpless baby.

It won't work. And if it does? Parker is still dead. Cooked in Sonoma desert summer heat. Everyone who lives there knows the heat is searing. What excuse did he have?? None. He brought in food before a child? And then "forgot" her in the car? Because he was drinking and playing video games? That will go over well with a jury.

No one else has been charged with murder 1? Well, let's just say that this is the most heinous. His own wife told him not to leave kids in the car any longer. Meaning he obviously had done it before.

Actually the shower situation seemed to occur after most of the 1st responders had cleared out. They loaded Erica into the ambulance w Parker, Chris stayed at the house. They shared those incriminating text messages while in route to the hospital. He gave a statement. IDK what they were waiting for. Possibly just the ER doc to pronounce Parker. Anyway that was when Christopher tried to shower and got shut down. More evidence he was thinking about himself. Not his baby girl who was just pronounced, not his wife who walked into the house from work & discovered her life was forever changed, not his 2 little girls who were with a neighbor after seeing mommy & daddy bring their baby sister into the house. Christopher was thinking about taking a shower with LEOs all over his house & he didn’t care if they watched him do so.

There was a comment made at some point about the cup with the beverage so we know LE was aware of the drink. I guess we’ll find out soon enough if the testing was done or not. Christopher wants his day in court and I hope to see him get it!

Yeah, one of the most flabbergasting responses I’ve ever seen to the death of your own child while proclaiming your innocence.

A shower. A tantrum about taking a shower. To the police who are informing you that your little girl is dead in your car, due to your own negligence. And nothing to do with washing away evidence.

Priorities,right?

I really like this article. The defense will have absolutely no where to go with this guy.

I would have "memory issues" too if I drank stolen beer and then went home for an afternoon of hard liquor, Playstation, p@rn, and videos.

Let's hope CS enjoyed his Hawaiian vacation in May, because the first plea deal offer was a gift. I hope he has an ankle monitor, because the closer they get to trial...there is no other deal coming...AFAIK.
