It is a bit confusing to read, as Parker is listed as "male". It is interesting reading.
Hello @mickey2942,
Thank you for posting the link!
I agree, appalling that the Fatality-SummaryReport defines Parker Scholtes as *male* & agreed - confusing, additionally - (I may be wrong here.... but) have Arizona Department of Child Safety also included information in Parker's case from: Mariah Savard, 2-year-old female - Fatality-SummaryReport-MS_2.pdf? 🤔

Here is my read on their relationship dynamic, which is speculation only. But I come from an "alternative culture" background and know plenty of couples like this, plus am exactly the same age.

My guess, given the boy's toy's music room, is that this guy saw himself as a musician or an artist who expected a big break earlier in life and now feels salty about it and like he would be selling out to work a day job, is resentful about full time parenting.

Given the wife's coddling and pandering, and we know they've been together 10 years, I wouldn't be surprised if she was a bit younger than him and they met "on the scene" and perhaps when he WAS in a band, perhaps he was seen as very desirable and she felt special for having been chosen. It increased her social standing at the time. Now that they're older, and she's carrying the household and their lifestyle, that's no longer the case but they are still psychologically in the same dynamic. "Lucky to be with him" etc.

I would guess his alcohol (and or substance) misuse would date back to this time too. I also would guess just from knowing guys like this (albeit none who have accidentally baked their child) that he has history of depression, probable undiagnosed ADHD, an addictive personality and possible past suicide attempts. I feel like she has got used to rubbing his back through those when she thought of him as a dramatic and beautiful artist.

I'm not particularly judging those things as I also have a history of depression, addiction and ADHD! Though for these reasons and many many others, I would never personally have kids, or be in position where I was responsible for kids.

Anyway JMO MOO etc

As far as I know, no information has been released about any drug or alcohol testing was done on CS. I don't believe it was done, likely because the officers were treating everything as a terrible accident and likely did not want to further upset the wife and children. He should have at least had a breathalyzer. It really should have been standard procedure in cases such as this to do full tox testing on him My opinion only

Make it +1. I think they should have done a breathalyzer and a 10-panel tox screen. JMO.

I would agree about possible history of polysubstance use and potentially, cross-addiction indicating “some” psychiatric issues in the accused but one can only guess. JMO there is codependency between the spouses and perhaps they feel much better during their travels. About the rest, hard to tell.
