I do not think any of the officers would let him use their jackets to hide his face like the coward he is. iMO
He should have grabbed a mustard C21 jacket as he was escorted from the office....

Yes I am making his opinion clear that untrained people shouldn't comment (a statement you disagreed with a few posts back but we'll ignore you failed to acknowledge that). However that is not the law. That is excessive, cover your bum on a blog advice. The legislation prevents certain information being included by publications in the jurisdiction. No comment is not a reasoned response to concerns about breaching that law.
You know I am in favour of moderate commenting, I think people should be careful in what they put online for ethical and legal reasons. And that's the same reason why this fear mongering about discussion gets right up my nose.
I note you have not responded why you think this particular case, ... being charged with murder and webslueths in particular, will be ground breaking. While the vast majority of posters to this thread are probably joining in this kind of discussion for the first time, it is far from first time this has happened online in an Australian case.
Could be right on that possibilty 1....accomplice may have told them where to find either the murder weapon or the phone..
If it was anyone but the father of these children you may have a valid reason to celebrate. Yes the alledged killer has been arrested but it is the parent of these girls. The far reaching consequences of this are nothing to be HAPPY about. No body WINS here.:banghead:
They may have found traces of that somewhere around day 1...forensics were in there back then...would add to why police said they'd been treating it as a homicide for some time.
Has Paul Tully opened a can of worms and there needed to be an immediate arrest?...or is it purely coincidence? A lot of what was written IMO makes sense....any thoughts?
WI - you are a real softie under all those words and links...

Watsonian Insititute I suggest that you utilise the chatroom forum afforded to us by the Websleuth moderators to talk on about whatever it is you're talking about. It is totally off topic here and in my opinion, it is becoming very tiresome.

I wouldn't be surprised if the well known politicians don't even know he is on their "friends" list.Actually I am surprised he still has so many 'friends' on FB. In fact some very well known politicians are still 'friends'. I would be running a mile at very high speed to dissassociate myself with any alleged murderer.
I fear my original post was misread. I specifically mentioned non-professionals and people with no working knowledge of sub judice.
We'll have to wait and see what becomes of both this case and the comments on this forum. As I have previously stated (twice), this is likely to be a very interesting case, both legally and journalistically.
Cheers
Hi all - first time poster, long time lurker/"thanker"
I initially felt a great sense of relief at tonight's news - and whilst that is still the overwhelming feeling, my heart still aches. My children and I are approaching the second anniversary of my husband, their Daddy's, death after a short battle with an aggressive cancer. I see the devastation and grief on their faces still after nearly two years. I cannot begin to imagine how the three BC girls are coping and will cope in the future. Fully acknowledging that our family dynamic was very different, my hubby and I loved each other dearly and we were a tight family unit, I just cannot imagine how someone could make a decision to inflict this pain on their children. My kids are of similar age to the BCs and all I can think is at least my kids have me here - those poor three girls. What was he thinking? I will continue to follow this with great interest to try and wrap my head around the how's and why's.
I thank you all for the great input, clarifications, giggles and sometimes tears. I never thought I would be one to be so wrapped up in an internet forum, but have found myself here more often than not since I first stumbled across this forum. Happy about the arrest - anxiously awaiting the roll out of information as time goes by.
Aw, shucks ... :blushing:
My apologies Willough and Monty, my partner just said it showered in the Cbd early afternoon. Showers means clouds. Twas sunny where i was.
It was not misread, I just do not agree with the blog author's advice nor your reasoning and do not think this case will be any different to any others, but I do look forward to seeing what transpires.

What's with the "mood rings" Watson ?
So, police picked the children up?? how awful for the children.
Im wondering if they held off doing further blood spatter type analysis in the hope the the killer would crack without going them having to go too hard. This may have been an ace up the sleeve. removing blood is particularly difficult, and it would still show well after any incident.
that is dreadful...I'm disappointed in the media.
With regard to the children, good planning on the part of the Police as expected. We knew they would be in good hands. This seems to have gone well for them, to be protected from the news barrage at this stage an to be collected by the Dickie family. Congratulations to Ainsworth and all the Detectives and Police men and women who have worked so hard to achieve this result tonight.
