Yes, but not to say he did move in. And how do we know what the Dickies actually did in terms of cleaning etc. maybe some of that report was more for the benefit of not letting the POI know the police suspect Him. AS though they were all prepared for him to move back in..only guessing though.
I think what was meant, by cleaning up ,was to make it nice for GB and the girls ,with a view, they would move back into the family home.I don't believe it was too cover anything up,...more like they needed to find a way to occupy there time, too feel like they were helping, too be closer too Allison.
I know when I lost someone I dearly loved ,in a horrid way ,I went to their house ...It really didn't needed to be cleaned,It was more, for me,too ease my heart ache, feel close to the person I had just lost ,I just wanted to touch their clothes ,smell their smell....It gave me comfort ,at time when I feelt so very useless.Thats all.........

Yes truth, I found it on a link as non intimate but looked on a better source and saw it was indeed.

Imo, It is quite possible that Allison did have " beard stubble and roots " under her finger nails.
Lots of DNA if this is the case.
IMO, I do think she took a good chunk out of the murderers face that night. IMO , She put up a fight .:please::banghead::please: ( sorry i didnt want to go there)

IMO : The police would want to take a sample of the accused persons beard "at a growth stage " similar to the time , the murder took place.

So ,I would think they will want him to shave in morning and by 9pm the growth would be same age as it was at the time of her murder.
The sample would then be taken and it's length etc would be compared to the hair found under Allisons nails. As well as DNA etc.
( Detectives probably collected his shaver from his house last night)

IMO i would expect that a photographic comparison of the two samples would form part of the collection of evidence.

I always thought the accused husband had grown a beard , to hide those scratches
BUT maybe he grew his beard to change its length and appearance if beard hair was discovered under Allison's nails.

Why would they need to take a sample of beard at the same growth stage? If it was found under her fingernails- they should have DNA. All they need is his DNA to match. (I don't see length of hair really matters if they have DNA- thats pretty powerful evidence)

Maybe they are putting him in a line up for possible witnesses. Much harder for witnesses to recognize a man with a beard, if he didnt have a beard when they saw him ;)

Oooooh now that was freaky!!!!...just read...

(6) disguises and changes in facial features can affect a witness's ability to remember and identify a perpetrator, and if facial features are altered between the time of the event and the identification procedure—if, for example, the culprit grows a beard—the accuracy of an identification may decrease; (7) delays between the commission of a crime and the time an identification is made can affect reliability; (8) a witness may have more difficulty making a cross-racial identification; and (9) witness memories can be altered when coeyewitnesses share information about what they observed.

I didn't say they covered anything up. I just think the Dickies may have been in the loop more than any of us would know and I have to wonder if they knew the girls and GBC would not be going back there. But had to keep up the pretense. It may have been more they were collecting Allisons stuff..Just my thoughts

I understand that hair samples can show drugs being taken over a period of time - an example in the link below -

Sorry if someone has already said this - struggling to keep up

Of course IMO

Good points you two! A gold star for both of you :) :star2::star2:

I think it is possibly more to do with presenting him in a line up infront of witnesses. As soon as Allison went missing, he seemed to be hiding part of his face, always putting phone up to it etc......and he grew a beard. Maybe he was hoping this would help with hiding his features. Maybe people saw him that night and the police want him to look relatively clean shaven, as this is how they would have seen him. JMO

I am sure we do not have to be exact here as google will answer most of the questions.....seems some people here have no idea of prison procedures. I have many years experience in this.

Perhaps they cleaned off fingerprint powder etc in case they came home and wouldn't have to see it? :)

Nope.....They just said on Nine News (Melbourne), that the shaving of some of the beard was for DNA sample.

What's the significance of the programming schedules requested by police of all TV stations in Brisbane for 18-19 April?

  • #555
Well I feel somethings shifted, either by interviews...don't suppose he would say anything though, or by another perp who has rolled.......it all happened and was organised to grab him and remove kids very quickly.......maybe he was going to do a runner/ bought tickets / upgraded childrens passports????? JMO and MOO

From the minute GBC became a POI, procedures would have been put in place to ensure neither he nor the kids (or any other POIs) could leave the country.

Yep..I understand it for that reason. i thought the poster(sorry forget who), was saying they wanted the length of growth to compare to what was found under fingernails(if anything was).
