Interesting that the media aren't reporting the details of the QPS affadavit that the defence was responding to prior to the court being cleared.

Can anyone confirm if the affadavit was read to open court and suppressed or just handed up to the judge?

To those of us , who did attend the hearing today, Thanks .
And thanks to everyone who made me laugh , and laugh more, when I was getting very stressed waiting on the result of this hearing.

I couldn't stop singing this song to myself today, silly really.
5 green bottles hanging on the wall ,
5 green bottles hanging on the wall ,
If one green bottle should accidentally fall .......
There'd be 4 green bottles hanging on the wall.

None of the tweets by media mentioned anything about the prosecution, and this was just a few minutes into the hearing.

I am not sure who you are referring to. I must have missed some of the posts..cause I don't recall alot about the BC'S copping it today.. I will go back and see. I have not joked much about them at all and have been vocal in not doing so..

Whoa...There are certainly some people suffering with disappointed hope, some disappointed in other ways than some of us. Geez people calm. This is a murder trial not a blue light disco. If you want to play nice and talk nicely then perhaps play with your kids or pet. Night night : )

Yes people, SETTLE. Oh, wait....

' Anger is simply disappointed hope'

After reading that many years ago, so much of people's reactions (espcially my own) were rendered understandable to me

True. Now I have to pack my crackers up. :floorlaugh:

Before i go to get dinner organised can someone please explain this part??

His lawyers were before Justice Terry Martin this afternoon to argue exceptional circumstances exist, which justify their client's release.

And again here we go. I must be imagining all the humor on here today I guess. The BCs have really copped it today. That I have not imagined. I seem to ruffle feather when I post at times/a lot yet if the same words were uttered by a dare I say regular /popular poster peace would reign supreme.I don't get it. Yes I do.:waitasec:

I thought the exact opposite Mothergoose , I thought a lot of what was written today was quite understanding to the BC and empathetic. There was certainly a very different from posts a couple of weeks ago.

I think now that the suspicion has gone from Nigel Baden Clay posters are starting to feel for them as well as for Olivia.

As I said before every day someone else seems to be suffering from this murder and you feel for them all on some level. The Baden Clay's are elderly and have had an enormous stress put on them in the last weeks.
Olivia looks to me, like she is going to crack under the pressure. She has a young family and a husband who is a minister. I once had neighbour who's husband was a pastor and the amount of work she was required to do was extraordinary and she bore it all with good grace. I can imagine a lot is expected of Olivia on many fronts, her parents not being the least. I have always felt some sympathy for them, I found the business about the kiss quite wrong as I do now about the email. Many people on here are afraid to post because they a frightened by the criticism if they post an alternate view ( I have got a number of private messages that attest to that) but if you are strong enough and keep putting another idea out there, you will surprised how many people will agree with you.

I'm almost ashamed to be Australian today. Aussies are better than this. We are a decent and honest people. I totally condemn and reject this moronic act.

And that is terrible news.

Jokes aside(see I am reasonable ;)) I don't know what the person who sent in a bomb threat(if it was) was trying to achieve..

:escape:

Only thing I could see would be that they might get a closed court out of it now so the public and media wouldnt hear some of the evidence they have on BC

There's a little trick to it, if you want to gain that cult status. You need to provide lots of jargony cop/legal information, but ensure at the same time that you side with the majority and provide lots of reassurance to them. It also helps to try to egg others on, while at the same time ensuring you don't personally say anything offensive or liable. IMO

Now that is funny.....I agree...There are a few people who post that get the superstar treatment and I often laugh to myself because some of the stuff they write seems to be written in a way just to impress and not simply written as a reply or comment.....Cracks me up!! ......and then half the thread is taken up with applause and praise!

I don't mind it really, I find it amusing how people react to others and how they are building certain relationships from the start of this....I find that I can write 10 or more comments a day and no one replies and then someone will mention or point out the exact same thing as I had previously and they get dozens of replies....It really is amazing how some are taken more seriously then others and almost idolised....and they aren't even verified...lmao!

Thanks for that....

....and boo friicken hoooo. Sure he gave dna after he was arrested.

If I was charged with such an act and I was innocent I would give the police anything and everything from Day 1.

GBC has not. He did not look for his wife. He did not appeal for help to find her; he didn't tell the congregation at the funeral how "devastated" he was at losing his wife and the mother of his children, he didn't place a notice in the paper for his "angel". He instead engaged a lawyer to talk to the police and to the media - in other words he did not co-operate with anyone. :banghead:

If I had lost someone that I loved I would be at the police station every day asking them what was going on and why they hadn't made an arrest.

Actions speak louder than words.

MOO

I think regarding the BCs it is a somewhat difficult scenario in relation to empathy. It is almost a two pronged effort.

On one hand, if they had nothing to do with this crime, then how can one not feel for them. Although I feel their reaction to Allison's missing status and their reaction to her being dead was absolutely flatlined, I feel so very sorry their son has done this to their family.....I feel sorry that they are not seeing the girls because of his mistakes......I feel very sorry that they are being hounded by the media and even feel sorry for criticising them at times, including the "pash".

But on the other hand, if they were involved.....then PLUCK the lot of em.

Simple.......and I think that is why some who may have empathy for the family, dont display it. They are either waiting to hear what comes next.....As to whether there are 4 more bottles of beer on the wall, so to speak. Also I feel some just cannot get past the fact they were so unsupportive at the command post....I have a bad taste in my mouth about that too.
