OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025 *ex-husband arrested*

My guess would be they will drive him, but idk.

I've seen both methods. Kohberger was flown from PA to ID. Leticia Stauch was driven from FL to CO.

And some of us may recall during a cross country drive to bring LS to CO she attacked LE. I think flying is the best option. imo

I wonder if MM somehow hacked into one of their devices to obtain the door code or was spying on them using some sort of spyware installed or placed a hidden camera inside a piece of home decor disguised as a gift from one of his former patients and delivered to their door and placed in the home to gain access. I know this sounds extremely far-fetched, but similar if not more extreme tactics have been used by stalkers in the past to stalk their victims through surveillance. And IMHO, MM has been obsessively stalking Monique and Spencer for awhile now.
Yes, I agree. A hidden recording device is very possible.

I went to a wedding where the brides divorced parents both spoke. The mother just addressed the couple, the father named himself for his “mistakes” he made during his first marriage. Totally unnecessary. Some things are best left unsaid. Theres a time and place.
I could definitely understand being wounded by someone’s words. There would be no reason to have to address anyone else from your past at your wedding. Maybe she felt uncomfortable getting married again within 3 years of her divorce having some of the same people there? Perhaps appealing to the grooms family? Just trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Especially since her life was horrifically cut short- the prime of her life. So sad
Yes, I can see that. If I were her (like you say most of the guests likely knew about her past marriage) it would make me feel better to add in that past relationship wasn't a good one. A lot of us feel judged when we move onto new relationships/marriages so I get it.

I also remember a few of our mutual friends bringing up the wedding video when I would run into them..which made me feel crappy. When I added my experience I am not in anyway saying she was wrong in what she said in that video. She is entitled to say whatever she feels for sure. They're her feelings. I was trying to more point out how it made me feel on the other end. ...trying to think if maybe MM felt some anger about it....especially if they had mutual friends ... But at the end of the day, if something like that ....years later is going to push you to murder...there is something deeply, deeply wrong with you.

Moo.

In hindsight, I bet BIL wishes he never posted their wedding video publicly. Sometimes it’s just better to keep things private. I would never have a video of mine like that available for the whole world to see.

I have read, if true, that they had a 5 yr relationship…maybe starting undergrad at OSU and all thru Med School. That’s a long time and if the two of them were the victims, everyone would remark at THEIR photos and say how happy and in love they looked.

Our Instagram instant-assessment.

There is so much fluff and invention on social media and of course, we all bring bits of our life’s experiences to our discussions and evaluations.

The transition to residency is a not uncommon time for breakups. Residency is a grueling period and often the partner feels neglected and far away from family, job and friendships. There is little time to create a new set of couple friends or socialize.

Leaving while he’s at school can mean abuse, or mean you are just fed up with trying to make him understand your misery.

I’ll wait for actual testimony of previous abuse.

All this is more so if she was working at home. And he is never home, and when he is, he is stressed and nose in a book. He may have felt abandoned because he had worked to get in this program and up and leaving a residency for her and finding another is a harrowing prospect. It’s not like finding another sales or IT job. He competed to get this slot. He is also trapped in a way.

What this man is accused of is heinous. But I’m not convinced of anything regarding their previous breakup. We may find that she had no fear of him, but pity and allowed some communication after the weird court date notification. Or just that she felt guilty that she was happy and he was not. Meanwhile her family may have been very uncomfortable about any contact at all.

McKee appears to me to be shaking/trembling throughout that appearance.
I didn't see any shaking and I was paying close attention because I watched the clip after I read your post. He appeared pretty calm, cool, and collected to me. Like he was waiting for a grocery store clerk to bag his purchase or something.

I found this rather alarming and if I were to install a code lock, I would install extra layers such as adding one or two deadbolts.

I would say a lot of hardwares might sell out of deadbolts after this case

I’ve lived all my life in NYC in a high-rise building.

I don’t have a coded lock, but I have the deadbolt, the chain, and another lock. Like what you sometimes see in NYC apartments on TV.

I also live on a high floor, and while I don’t have Ring, many of my same-floor neighbors do and it would capture anything in our hallways.

I’m sure someone very determined could break through the locks, but it would take some time, and there are always people coming and going, in and out of the elevator and on the floor.

I suppose in the dead of night it could happen.

My twin has a big house in suburban New Jersey. She doesn’t follow true crime, but I’m going to let her know about coded locks. She does have one, and also motion detectors, a Ring, and an alarm if the windows are broken. Now I worry that’s not good enough.

We don't know at this point if he was triggered by the wedding video, fwiw.

I know some are saying they can't see it, but I did see something when I watched this video on HD, full screen.

It became particularly noticeable to me around the 1 minute mark up until he signed the document.

It's very small, but when you compare him to the lawyer standing next to him, it stood out to me.

I wouldn't call it shaking or trembling. It was more like the muscles in his upper body, stopping at the neck, were just constantly having tiny twitches or jitters, but not consciously. I didn't particularly notice anything from what we could see of the waist down.

It reminded me of things I've seen in my kids when they were teens and either skipped a dose of a medication (like a psych med) or when they started a new higher dose and their body wasn't used to it.

It could also be something as simple as perhaps before he entered in the courthouse, he had been handcuffed behind his back for a period of time for transport and his muscles got strained.

But I don't see it as fear.

I just saw a video clip shown on local news, the court arraignment of MM.

I have a large screen TV, sitting close to the screen, and there was a close up of MM, his head, neck, head, torso. Also saw him in profile as he turned his head to look at (I think) his attorney standing next to him.

Impressions:

1. MM is much larger than I thought. Very big man.
2. I did see the trembling you noticed, in the back of his neck/ shoulders. Very slight, but there.
3. Yes no expression on his face.
4. A guard behind MM asks him to move over a bit to make room for his attorney to stand next to him in front of the judge. MM doesn't hesitate, immediately moves over and appears cooperative, following directions.

Imagine how the parents of the child he could have performed surgery on this week feel today.

Catching up from the UK.

Do we know Michael was in a current or recent relationship?

More victims in all of this :(

I've had vascular surgery - it took forever to book and I actually ended up traveling a flight away even though I live in a city full of top docs.

Although he's clearly (allegedly) a monster, I don't doubt that he was a skilled surgeon. He'd been through years and years of training to get to where he was. He threw away so much of his own life just to settle a nonexistent score.

The loss in all of this is unimaginable, and for what? Now two bright young parents are dead, a dentist and a vascular surgeon are out of the field, and two innocent kids are growing up as orphans.

As well as the parent(s) who allegedly put him up for adoption, the parents who adopted him. I imagine they are all in an alternate universe of shock and horror. He put an end forever to the lives of two young vibrant parents for his own injustices and the ripple effect is far and wide reaching. IMOO

I didn’t see that, he appears calm and nodding his head at time. Emotionless 😐
I didn't notice that either. I'm going to have to rewatch it.

Do we know if there were any air b and b's directly behind the Tepe home?
I checked the Weinland Park neighborhood on my AirBnb app. There are quite a few AirBnb rentals located within that immediate area with two rentals located behind the Tepe home. Although exact addresses are not provided on AirBnb, the two locations below appear to be located in or around the 1400 block of Hamlet St.

*For reference I highlighted the Tepe home in yellow.
