I've heard of it being done to amend a child custody agreement, that kind of thing, but 8 years later for a brief, childless marriage?

The way it looks, they met in college and he was pursuing her until she agreed to marry him. After seven months of married life, she basically escaped with her family’s help.

Her story we know. If I heard correctly, she spoke about unhappy meetings on Bumble until she met Spencer. Then she got married and had kids. So, one can understand that her life was full of people.

MDM’s story is silent. Some TikToker came forward with the story of being his GF in residency but I have my doubts (she looks way younger than MDM and I have hard time believing she is an MD).

Anyhow, besides her we don’t hear any story of a long relationship, even if failed. Yet he made a dating profile.

Did MDM blame Monique for him being unable to get married and have a family? You know, Samson and Delilah myth, such stuff?

JMO. Who was attacked first or the amount of shots is irrelevant as he planned to kill both.

But if MDM failed to secure a date, then, being not too insightful, he’d either blame the women in general, or blame it all on his ex.

Joseph Scott Morgan (who i think walks on water) said he thinks he used a silencer to keep the kids from hearing the gunshots so in essence to protect them. thats a tough sell for me ,because if he was wanted to protect then he wouldnt have killed their parents.
IMO he used a silencer to protect himself, hoping he’d muffle the gunshots enough to not wake the kids up and he could get away without hearing babies cry.
Maybe he’ll try to say he didnt know they were home? But on DEC 29/30 most people are home because most people are waiting for New Year’s Eve.
He probably kept it because he might need it again, not on anyone else, maybe he had an exit plan.

I agree. I seriously doubt the killer used the silencer to protect the kids. He was protecting himself. Everything was about him. He didn't care who he hurt.

I agree - he did not use a silencer to protect those children. imo

He deliberately and knowingly harmed those children by killing their parents. That was his purpose. He not only destroyed Monique, but permanently hurt the people who loved her. He might not have physcially harmed the children, but he intended to hurt them for life. imo

If I were to analyze it, I think the silencer is akin to a precision tool that would appeal to a surgeon.

I might get some pushback from people here, but he deliberately not killing the kids to me still screams of his rage at 2 people for destroying his happiness. The children might have actually been considered "innocents" in his distorted mind.

SBM. His trust and abandonment issues likely increased significantly after Monique found a way to leave despite his threats. He saw it as an ultimate betrayal and was possibly planning revenge from early on. When his other problems started to pile up he maybe felt he had nothing to lose.

Sounds like JSM was being optimistic about this. IMO, he didn't do it to protect the children, he did it so that neighbors didn't hear the shots so there'd be no lookie-loo's looking out windows when he made his getaway in the middle of the night, in the freezing cold, and with no car in sight. ALL suspicious looking. He did it for himself, and NOT for anyone else.
