OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025 *ex-husband arrested*

Ya but wouldn’t they have been notified their door was opened?
Which could be why Monique was left the game early to go back to their hotel. Whatever that reason was it was about him. (posted about above)

Ya that’s very creepy. And the fact he apparently stayed in their house for a couple hrs while they were gone. I guess we can all assume their home alarm was not used often.

So he must have had a very good understanding of the house layout when he came to kill them. He must have somehow followed her on social media to know they’d be gone, along with the dogs, in order to spend 2hrs and not be concerned.

All he would’ve needed was their address to look at all of the photos of the interior of the home to learn the layout.

When asked why Monique left the game, Spencer said she was upset about “something involving her ex-husband and was going back to the hotel,” according to the affidavit.
I wonder if he sent her cryptic photos of the house, either inside or outside. Had to be upsetting enough to want to leave a public space and head to safety. IMO

She didn't post on fb and her ig was private.

But others' weren't.

If MM was at their house, he knew they were gone. If he knew they were gone, he had a way TO know they were gone.

I hope LE has scoured the social media of their friends for linkage. To turn her stomach, all it would take would be a "like" from MM to a post of a friend of hers. It would say I know who your friends are, I know where you are.

It would also say you don't know where I am.

Which is scarier still, so few he was at her house.

If he was in the house, and for  hours, I suspect he put cameras throughout it.

Is that possible? Bypass their wifi? Use starlink or something?

He was hellbent.

He deactivated his previous fb account. How would she know it was him interacting with her friends?

And he took off a sticker (poorly) that was previously seen on camera.

It's speculation on my part. Perhaps a different social platform.

1. He knew they were away. Not a stretch that he knew where they were.
2. She avoided social media. But most people don't. And many people post things on social media with considering or recognizing risks. Publishing an obituary online tells endings in the universe which hours you won't be home, for instance.
3. Something upset MT, related to MM. He was at or in their house at the same time. Unless she had a premonition, which I doubt, something real upset her. I do not think she knew where he was but I think he found a way to make sure she knew that he knew where she was.
4. She may have left the game because she thought he was AT it. IMO if she believed her been to her house, I doubt she would have returned to it.
5. That MT was also upset at the same time he was taking obvious steps toward a home invasion and murder, IMO it wasn't enough for him to want get dead. Cat and mouse. He wanted her to know he was winning. So calculated, evil.

Reportedly she returned to the hotel. How did she feel safer? If she suspected him of stalking her, he could have been waiting for her there.

She may have thought he was at the game.

She may have thought she was safe, locked in a hotel room, but also wouldn't have wanted the others to miss the game.

IMO it's one thing to be fearful of what a screwy ex might do; it's something entirely else to believe one would murder you. Even if you felt the weight of the threat.

Still, that she was upset by something related to him at the very same time he was at/in their house was not IMO a coincidence. I think she felt he was watching her. She may have felt he was in proximity, which shows another layer of evil cunning from MM, if he made her fearful that he was near when actually he was far away, but at/in her house. Chilling.

People as determined as him would have found a way to make a fake profile, and find a way to have her accept a follow request from a fake profile, etc.

Just because she had private IG doesn't mean he didn't have a way to view what she was posting.

Is there a link to the affidavit?

She was probably careful not to accept follow requests from people she didn't know.

Right. But there are ways around this. I have heard of offenders making fake fan page account centered around a topic that they know the target loves with the sole intention of being able to follow someone. He could have made a fake profile pretending to be someone she knew from college or whatever. There are ways.

this must be why CPD was so tight-lipped around the allegation that MM was sighted by neighbors creeping about before the murders, because that's exactly what happened. i'm sure they found footage after the fact and tracked his movements even tighter. the evidence is falling into place...

"Detectives also recovered video of the same suspect entering the curtilage of 1411 N. Fourth St. on December 6, 2025 and exiting a few hours later when the Tepe's were away."

Court docs reveal new details in Tepe murder case; McKee allegedly spotted outside home weeks before killings
As per the reporter who wrote the article, they posted: "Curtilage is legally defined as being part of the home - for a burglary charge etc. This is typically thought of as being the yard, garden, porch area, or an outdoor building like a shed or detached garage (which the Tepes had)."
