It had to be somewhat cold too, unless he was dressed warmly to be outside for hours. What was he doing for hours? If he was in the backyard, he would have been constantly watching for them to return and need to get out of there without being seen.
More likely he knew they were going out of town for the weekend to the football game which was in another city. This would have been his time to put his plan in motion. He had a full weekend to install whatever monitoring device, or to mess with the locks and ensure he can get in when he comes back.

It's speculation on my part. Perhaps a different social platform.

1. He knew they were away. Not a stretch that he knew where they were.
2. She avoided social media. But most people don't. And many people post things on social media with considering or recognizing risks. Publishing an obituary online tells endings in the universe which hours you won't be home, for instance.
3. Something upset MT, related to MM. He was at or in their house at the same time. Unless she had a premonition, which I doubt, something real upset her. I do not think she knew where he was but I think he found a way to make sure she knew that he knew where she was.
4. She may have left the game because she thought he was AT it. IMO if she believed her been to her house, I doubt she would have returned to it.
5. That MT was also upset at the same time he was taking obvious steps toward a home invasion and murder, IMO it wasn't enough for him to want get dead. Cat and mouse. He wanted her to know he was winning. So calculated, evil.

I am thinking along the same lines. He was tormenting her in various ways.
Yes this more information we get, the more horrific it is.

They also had mutual friends, The ones who said he’d always ask about her, maybe one of them mentioned something. It’s not hard to get info out of people. Especially if no one suspects you’d do anything' crazy

Early in this thread, there was a lot of discussion about why Spencer's coworkers and friends contacted 911 and went to the house so quickly- within an hour or two of when he was expected at work. There was a lot of chatter on here about how he was a dependable employee, with patients waiting, etc. and that led to quick action (all still true and valid, IMO).

Given what was revealed today about the ex entering the home, and her leaving the sporting event upset, it's very likely that friends/family were also at least vaguely aware of ongoing issues. Even if you didn't know all the details, it certainly add another layer on to why they might have been so quick to act. Even a few passing comments about Monique being stressed about her ex could have alerted their personal and professional network to ongoing issues and led to major concern when he was late and no one could contact either of them.

Yes he could be installing cameras. Or tampering with the security system.
And/or leaving threatening notes, rearranging her possessions, stealing souvenirs, etc.
Other aggressive/sexual behaviors, etc.
Anything aggressive would have been reported, IMO.

That’s what’s scary, Maybe she thought he just likes to terrorize her and would never do anything else.
What a weirdo , so obsessive after 8 years,
I don't know what was going on with MT, but in general abused women can be all over the map because they have become so traumatized by physical, emotional, mental abuse and threats. Some days they downplay it all and ignore risk levels and try to have a normal life, other days they are terrified to the point of being immobilized and have trouble functioning.

Very true, they would have a clue, especially if it was as bad as what’s being reported, anyone close enough to know she was away and where she was would also know a bit of their history.

True, and some think it’s about love, that he never got over it, so they probably dont think it will lead to murder.

Perhaps MM was subtle. Leaving signs he was there but could be construed as benign by others, but MT knew. He was playing sick mind games it appears.

Typically when women report that their ex has broken into the house and moved things, taken things, etc., the police want proof. And often police don't take it seriously or there is not much they can do.

Yes exactly. Puzzle pieces are falling into place. Yes we can now see why friends and co-workers reacted so quickly.

Also in some cases the abused women don't realize that the abuser has taken a big turn for the worse due to life set backs and drug abuse. Even women who live with the abuser can fail to see that things are significantly worse and more dangerous.

Then forget the police, for gods sake get more cameras, and hook up you’re alarm system , if the police cant do anything at last blare that alarm throughout the neighborhood.
Another thing, mine will talk, “front door open”, “back door open” it can drive a person nuts, if you have people in and out.what if they shut the alerts off b/c of the baby even? It’s just doesnt make sense that if they were aware of him creeping around, why we dont see a better working, security system. Then again I dont know what they have.

10000000% agreed, i don't think they had any idea he was actually at their house. i think the wording in the article/the reporter is suggesting he skulked about the area, maybe even went into their shed to lay in wait.

we'll see. i (and likely many others) filed a records request with Franklin County Municipal Court for the docs.

Just jumping off your post. I searched and I can’t find the actual post now but wasn’t a neighbor quoted as saying that she saw McKee weeks earlier just standing at the Tepe’s gate?
