Thanks for sharing that information. I wondered how in the world there could be such a long standing shortage.It’s not a shortage/supply issue. It’s that the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture the drugs don’t want the negative PR that comes along with selling those drugs to the government for the purposes of execution. I only know this because South Carolina passed a law in 2023 that now allows the name of the pharmaceutical supplier to remain private and has since resumed carrying out executions. I wouldn’t be surprised if other death penalty states pass similar legislation in the near future.
