I saw the CNN banner and knew to go straight to Websleuths!! This is HUGE!! I wonder if it is an American visiting Thailand for his paedophiliac cravings or if it is someone from Thailand or elsewhere overseas. If they are expecting to have him in the States in a couple of days I would imagine that means he is American (???) I am preparing to eat my hat as I was convinced the Ramseys were involved.

Clint just said child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 is big in Thailand.

Mickey Sherman saying the BPD is going to be very particular about arresting someone, But if this guy has given certain info that had not been let out to the public about the case, he thinks they probably have the right perp!

OMG!!!!!!! I am completely stunned. I just heard on CTV. I never did believe the Ramsey's killed her.

I am also wondering if Patsy relayed some unknown info as she was dying....

If not, and this person is indeed the perp, I feel HORRIBLE for the family....having been accused for so long.

I am having 'major eye problems' so was resting my eyes, no TV, phone rang, my little grandson telling me!!!

Where is Blue Crab? Tailand indeed, wonder if our tutor has a hand in this? I am betting that he was involved.

I am also thinking that the Susannah Chase case is involved. Most recently LE had found a NEW method of testing other ethnic dna, for that case. Semen was found on Susannah case.

I am also wondering since PR knew she was fading fast, IF she relayed some unknown info to LE?

I will be waiting and watching non stop for more information.

Justice for JonBenet is all we wanted, and not having all of the information on this case, was most certainly a handicap.

Clint Van Zant on TV now. Channel 43 Denver, Comcast.

I wonder Camper - the timing is extraordinary.

Julianne, if the parents had just sat down with police in the first place, an arrest might have been made a LOT sooner and they wouldn't have suffered at the hands of the media for "not co-operating". We can't re-write history - facts is facts.

Since it was reported that he confessed to certain things only the killer would know I think its a pretty sure bet!

I hate waiting!
It is absolutely awful what this family was put through and now it turns out it was an intruder.
It's absolutely awful, but their behavior was mighty strange, and their lack of cooperation with the police brought the suspicion down on them. I don't totally blame them for their behavior either, they received very bad advice in that regard, imo...

Justice for Jonbenet---

Ive read and hated here the unfair ,cruel remarks made about Patsy Ramsey- even right down to the poor womans "announcement of her DEATH" thread.....rest in Peace JonBenet and Patsy-so sad Patsy didnt live to see this day.

I hope the many here that were SO sure Patsy was guilty , rethink the way they jump to blame the innocent!

Ironically , i watched the movie "Perfect town, Perfect Murder " over the weekend.

On CNN:

"Authorities have made an arrest in the JonBenet Ramsey case, law enforcement sources told CNN on Wedesday.

An investigator with the Boulder County, Colorado, District Attorney's office traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, and is bringing a suspect back to the United States, CNN's Denver affiliate KUSA reported.

The suspect was arrested Wednesday morning and has confessed to certain elements of the crime that are unknown to the general public, KUSA reported.

Prosecutors have not confirmed the identity of the suspect, but expect to hold a press conference later today.

JonBenet's beaten and strangled body was found in the basement of the family home in Boulder, Colorado, the day after Christmas in 1996.

A grand jury investigation into the death of the child beauty pageant winner ended without charges in 1999.

The investigation focused a spotlight on the child's parents, John and Patsy Ramsey. Patsy Ramsey died in June.

The Ramseys said an intruder committed the crime, but they remained the subject of suspicion and speculation.

"The Ramseys left Colorado and had a house in Charlevoix, Michigan, where John Ramsey unsuccessfully ran for office in 2004, and in Atlanta, Georgia."

Well according to the Ramseys they did cooperate right away. But anyway if this is true it doesnt matter now, The ramseys will finally be out from under the "umbrella of suspicion".

The suspect is expected to arrive back in the United States, possibly within the next two days, accompanied by an investigator from the Boulder DA's office.

The Boulder County DA's office has not confirmed the identity of the suspect, but is expected to have a press conference later today.

9NEWS.com will live stream the event.
