We Are Close.

Congratulations to the following members for being committed to this unfortunate event created by GG and the think tank made possible by Websleuths. There's an old parable of wisdom that reads: "Websleuths Registered Users are Geniuses."

It is short, it is sweet. Here are your MegaSleuths from the Summer. No particular order, although the bottom five are good. I am in awe of the genius pool here, and can only say that I am thankful WebSleuths permits me to participate. Even if it is "view only" ha, that's a joke... the view only line.

HatesSociopaths you listed on your timline this:

3 p.m. - Robyn sends RF a Facebook message not to worry, that she loves him and that they will talk and sort things out when she gets back.

Question - was that EXACTLY at 3pm or ???, as I went back and corrected the approx times she sent the "this sucks" Facebook post by Robyn. Just trying to get exact times as possible.

I've also revised the time line already!! LOL! Like to know WHEN the tourist saw GG when he asked to call for help. Was that the 6:23pm call?

I think it might have been around 3:10 p.m. but I was not able to confirm that with RF. They are seen entering the restaurant at 3:06 p.m. Reportedly she went to the bathroom after that. My speculation is that she used that time in the bathroom to send RF the message.

Also, they are seen leaving at 4:13 p.m.

TimeLine (approx) Updated at 3:05pm - 9/2/11:

July 2011 - Robyn sends GG a text "Get me out of here." Per a report. Per report, there is a fight just prior to leaving for Aruba between GG and RF.

Sunday, July 31st - On this day another tourist had talked to RG and said that it looked like RG and GG were NOT having a good time. - CJ
ABC News has seen receipts that revealed that the couple ordered four Bloody Marys at 9 a.m. at the Orlando Airport on their way to the island, and that the two bought a liter of Ciroq vodka after they checked into their room at the Marriott Hotel in Aruba.

Monday, August 1st - GG and RG bought bottle of vodka this day, per reports. Nothing else reported as of 9-2-11 of their time spent for day.

Monday, August 1st – 5:02pm – Facebook comment: “the 16. I can communicate here.”

Tuesday. August 2nd – 2:05 a.m. Facebook comment left on RF's wall by Robyn: "This sucks."

Tuesday, August 2nd – 7:57am Facebook: RF to Robyn: “?? InBox me”

Tuesday, August 2nd – no time given: Prime murder suspect Gary Giordano, who friends said she met on a swingers sex site, is thought to have threatened to kill her while grabbing her by the neck and shoving her into an elevator on August 2 - the last day Miss Gardner, 35, was seen alive. The videotape from the Marriott Resort in Aruba allegedly shows the two having a furious and violent fight on the day she went missing. A source close to the investigation told the National Enquirer: 'They were having a major fight. Robyn was waving her arms and shouting at Giordano. He was grabbing her arms and jerking her around and shouting back at her. 'Then Giordano apparently realized their argument was heating up in public where someone might overhear them. He violently grabbed the back of Robyn's neck with one hand and shoved her back into the elevator with the other hand.' The source said lip-readers believe Robyn was shouting at Mr. Giordano: 'I'm out of here. I'm leaving. I'm not spending another minute with you,' while he yelled back: 'Get back here! I'll kill you!'

3:06pm - Arrived at restaurant – Seen on camera entering restaurant.

3:10 p.m. - Robyn sends RF a Facebook message “not to worry, that she loves him and that they will talk and sort things out when she gets back”. Reportedly went to bathroom after entering restaurant.

4:13 p.m. - Robyn is last seen (leaving restaurant). A man who works near Baby Beach reported seeing their vehicle park up by the rocks close to the water, wondered why they chose there to go snorkeling. A fisherman comes forward and says that GG and RG never went into the water. Gardner was last seen alive Aug. 2 at the Rum Reef Bar & Grill in the Baby Beach area of Aruba with Gary Giordano - approximately 4pm. Giordano, 50, and Gardner, 35, had traveled to Aruba together. He is being held in an Arubian jail but could be released today. Giordano claims that Gardner got swept out to sea when the two went snorkeling

apprx. 4:22pm: Approximately 10 minutes after leaving restaurant a fisherman reportedly saw Giordano and Gardner leaving a beach together, and said they did not get into the water.

6:02 pm: Giordano reportedly is seen in surveillance video, tapping on closed shutters of the bar – per “sources” even though it has been mentioned that there are NO cameras in the back of restaurant.

6:20 pm: GG reportedly headed to the back kitchen of the bar and told someone to call police. Three witnesses, two women and a man, told police that Giordano approached them on Aug. 2, saying, "Can you help me? We were snorkeling and my girlfriend is missing," she told police. One woman told police that while Giordano's sneakers were wet, his shorts were not. When Giordano reported Gardner missing, he seemed extremely drunk, a local fisherman, Sergio Silva, told ABC News, although Giordano told police that the two never purchased alcohol at the restaurant.

6.23 pm: 911 received notification of a possible drowning of a woman. The traveling companion of this woman, a man G.V.G. stated that they were going snorkeling behind Nanki Country Club. At 6:23 p.m. on the day of her disappearance, police were called, and 20 minutes later began to search the area. Then, Giordano left the search to return to his hotel and take a nap, according to police. Disclaimer: This claim, at 6.40 GG went for a nap, not true, there are various pics of GG helping the police in the dark, pics where it is completely dark, it takes till 7:30 for it to get dark, so GG was not taking a nap at 6:40, he still was working with the police at least at 7:30.

Wednesday, August 4th: Robin’s mother arrives.

Friday, August 5th: Three days after the search for Gardner began, Giordano got within feet of leaving the country before he was stopped at Aruba's airport where he told U.S. Customs he had to change flights because of weather, and told officials that his travel companion was "taking another flight." He was trying to board a flight one hour earlier than his scheduled departure. When arrested, authorities say Giordano was drenched in sweat. Mug shot after being arrested trying to get on a plane off the island.

Will updated (again) when more information comes out!

Thanks for these time lines, Niner - they are hugely helpful.

  • #329
Also, per RF, RG had decided at 4 a.m. on Sunday July 31st not to go on her trip and had called him and said she was coming over to his house. She then called back a short while later and said she was heading to the airport.

There is also an unconfirmed report of surveillance footage at the Mariott where RG and GG are seen arguing, etc. I don't believe it was said what day that occurred on though.

This is Dutch media and it appears Taco Stein comments about the dubious reporting from ABC. It appears Stein says that there was no scratch on GG's neck, no blood found on the beach or anywhere. Translation could be better if anyone can assist. (By the way, it is the same ABC article that says RG met GG on AFF....)

http://www.rnw.nl/caribiana/article/gary-giordano-60-dagen-langer-vast

Compelling reasons
Attorney General, Taco Stein, said that for the Prosecution "sufficiently weighty reasons" for Giordano longer hold. "Giordano's statements are different from our own findings and call each other on different runs." The judge gave the same OM yesterday.

Also there is new evidence that the suspected increase Giordano. What new evidence that his will, in the interest of the investigation say.

No traces of blood
, contrary to what is reported by various media, there are no traces of blood in the OM found at the location where Gardner would go snorkeling. "The story of the bloody handprint is certainly a nonsense story," says Stein.

Giordano was also just after the disappearance of Gardner are seen with blood traces in his neck. Stein: "This story is from ABC Television in the world helped, but we have no information. I would have to go after the technical investigation team. "

Saw this posted elsewhere, we should be getting more soon:

The office of the Public Prosecutor of Aruba releases still shot and video of possible witness in missing of US tourist

The Office of the Public Prosecutor of Aruba again calls on the public to give information to the police about the man G.V.G. who was arrested August 5, 2011 as a suspect in the investigation into the possible drowning of the American woman R.G. on August 2, 2011.

After releasing photos of the suspect, the woman R.G. and the white Toyota Rav 4 with licence number V-787 on August 11 and 24, 2011, the Office of the Public Prosecutor has decided today to publish a still shot and part of a video of a security camera of the JADS Dive Center the afternoon of the alleged drowning of the woman.

A white Hyundai Getz can be seen on the still shot and the video, driving in northern direction at about 17.59 PM on the road between the Rum Reef Restaurant and the sea. Following the statements of the suspect G.V.G., the driver of this car and the passengers could have seen the white Toyota RAV 4, the rental car the suspect and the woman R.G. drove during their stay on Aruba, parked near the sea behind the Rum Reef Restaurant. It is possible that they have also seen the man G.V.G. and the woman R.G. The Office of the Public Prosecutor of Aruba urgently requests the driver of this Hyundai Getz and/or the passengers to contact the Police of Aruba or to call the tip-line at 11141. A separate phone line for tips has been opened in the United States. The number is: 297 582 0695, preceded by the international access code. At this line a message can be recorded.

The man G.V.G. and the woman R.G. arrived in Aruba together on July 31, 2011. according to the statement of the suspect the woman remained in sea near Nanki, after he had come out of the water after snorkeling together.

Small area of timeline question here but I can live with the current results. Made me wonder if the camera timeline was verified.

The Fisherman report of course as reported initially by ABC news.

The witness says the couple took a walk along the reef at 4 p.m. and then drove away a short time later without going into the water, reports ABC News.

Reported in people magazine.

It sounds to me like we have two different accounts for how the 911 call was made here. Either 1) he told someone in the back kitchen or 2) he asked a woman on the beach.

I suppose it's possible both occurred but I think these came from different sources - one (the woman on the beach) came from our great friends ABC. I am not sure where the other one came from. Does anyone know?

ETA: It appears that was ABC as well:

At approximately 6:02 p.m., after Gardner went missing, the law enforcement source said that Giordano is also seen in surveillance video, tapping on closed shutters of the bar -- seemingly making his presence known. At approximately 6:20 p.m. he headed to the back kitchen of the bar and told someone to call police.

http://abcnews.go.com/International...tors-focus-insurance-policy/story?id=14321496

The next paragraph in that article is:

Authorities said that that they found blood on a rock behind the dive shop at the Rum Reef Bar & Grill, which is the last place the two were seen together.

The family member who told police she drank heavily said she was close to confronting Gardner about her allegedly excessive drinking.

Ok, so I believe Robyn only has a brother so this report seems to indicate it would be her mother who stated this.

1) Again, this is from ABC (and again, Alexa is involved with the article.)

2) Her mother lives in another state, Florida

3) Her mother upon being asked questions about her daughter in the investigation of her death is not likely to be acting like she is talking to Dr. Phil. These statements don't serve a purpose in helping solve the mystery of Robyn's disappearance.

4) Again, this is from ABC. See bloody rock, condom, sleeping pills, etc. for more examples of information that did not stand the Taco test.

5) Why would ABC have access to witness statements given to ALE?

MOO.

HS, re-quoting your quote:

Giordano May Have Taken Out Insurance Policies on Several Women

Giordano's appeal will go before a three judge panel. In the meantime, a source told ABC News that FBI investigators working the case in the United States are struggling to get information from the Aruban authorities. The source said the FBI is considering enlisting the help of international diplomatic channels to try to increase the cooperation of Aruban authorities.

A source told ABC News that while the focus of the Aruban investigation is on the missing woman, the focus of the FBI investigation is on the insurance policy that Giordano took out on the 35-year-old Gardner. In the day's after she disappeared, Giordano reportedly tried to cash in on a $1.5 million insurance policy.

The source also told ABC News that there may have been several other women that Giordano took away on trips and for whom he also purchased insurance.

What information could Aruban authorities provide to the FBI regarding the insurance policy GG allegedly took out on Robyn or any other women (that being the focus of the FBI).

It makes no sense to me the FBI struggling for information regarding this from Aruban authorities, considering help of international diplomatic channels etc.

ABC has many dubious reports, IMO.

Btw, does anyone recall which source claimed GG appearing with a lawyer at Rum reef within 24 hours of Robyn missing? TIA

  • #336
The last photos of Robyn were taken by a tourist that was interested in her tattoos.

Supposedly, except the photos don't show the tattoos. Something about that doesn't seem right.

The Change of Beneficiary Form per an earlier report was signed by RG with a witness present. Based on GG's recent history of fraud it is likely this witness is a fictitious name, and the FBI wants to ask GG who this person is so they can verify he witnessed RG signing this Beneficiary Form. That is one possibility.

However, it makes no sense ALE would not assist in any way possible to discredit the Beneficiary Form as fraudulent and never actually signed by RG. It is the smoking gun in this case.

Her ornate tattoo work is on her left arm, and on the 2 tourist photos you can only see her right arm.

Found a slightly better Dutch translation website:

No blood found in contrast to what various media is reported, according to the blood not found on the location where Gardner would have become snorkeling. ‘ The story of the bloody handprint is in any case, a nonsense story ”, tells Stein. It would also be Giordano just after the disappearance of Gardner are seen with blood in his neck. Stein:
That story is by ABC television in the world, but that we have no information whatsoever about.
