http://arubaherald.com/court/981-the-office-of-the-public-prosecutor-of-aruba-releases-still-shot-and-video-of-possible-witness-in-missing-of-us-tourist.html

"A white Hyundai Getz can be seen on the still shot and the video, driving in northern direction at about 17.59 PM on the road between the Rum Reef Restaurant and the sea. Following the statements of the suspect G.V.G., the driver of this car and the passengers could have seen the white Toyota RAV 4, the rental car the suspect and the woman R.G. drove during their stay on Aruba, parked near the sea behind the Rum Reef Restaurant. "

This should lay your question to rest...?

the second pic is along the same side of the building as the first... just taken as they walk towards their vehicle imo. probably taken within seconds of the first.

again, what is the relevance? thanks!

Where do these steps fit in along the same side? TIA

There are 2 aspects at this stage that remain questionable.

The one is where exactly did they enter the water ?

and

If she took this Ambian and was drinking alcohol, how did she manage to walk to the car if this pill is so fast acting and she already had alcohol in her system ?

There are many other aspects as well that I question but those can come later.

I thought exactly the same thing.

Are those steps further down the road ?

And if so, how much further ?

If you look at the front of the building right where the red mustang is parked there is an entrance where GG and RC first walked in. Looking further down towards the left you see a railing and people appear to be sitting. Where the railing ends it appears to be a handicapped entrance with a ramp and steps. The video shows them walking out the entrance and then walking past these steps where he stops to let RG catch up.

Not sure why it's important but I'm going down there in a few months and I'll check it out for you if there is a good reason to do so. jmo

Yes, further down the road. I believe these steps are located in front of the Jolly Roger in Cleveland. I could be wrong, so don't take my word for it - research for yourself.

Here's another picture of the front of the Rum Reef Restaurant. IMO, the handicapped entrance with ramp and steps that you describe and that is shown in the time stamped picture at the Aruba Herald link is adjacent to the railing of the restaurant (like you describe.) So if facing the front of the restaurant, it would be to the far left. JMO

Are you sure this is in Front of the Rum Reef? The cars show diagonal parking, and on the time stamped one the parking is not diagonal.

There are no parking lines on the ground so I imagine you can park anyway you wish. One person may park one way, the rest follow. But, yes, see the picture above showing the front of the restaurant it has the sign on the roof, Rum Reef. We still don't know what the point is for asking? Anyone know? Before asking someone local it would be nice to have some reasoning behind the question???? jmo

It is RumReef, you can compare to the picture below and notice what looks like a little bar in the middle (with a white top) that is also behind the people sitting there but then viewed from the side.

The cars farthest away in this photo are pointing slightly the other direction, versus the cars on this end they are pointing more this direction. Does that make sense? :waitasec:

My point is, I think LC is correct. The patrons park however which way, the first ones there dictate the direction the cars park. I have been to a lot of places where that is the case, so nothing unusual, imo.

Thanks, now I see the white bar. The parking was what threw me, but LC explained that. :thumb:

AmEx claims GG called a number of times regarding RG. GG claims he needed to report her missing and find out if he was covered for searches. Not sure why he is claiming his attorney would tell GG that when his attorney should know GG had no financial responsibility for RG. Unless he was concerned about the Aruban government taking a substantial cut out of that 1.5m he planned on collecting.

Once he contacted AmEx they would never take his word for it they would have contacted the Aruban police for verification. Could the ALE have told AmEx that they were still investigating the case and were not ready to rule her as deceased (T. Stein said they had sent people to check the nearby islands to make sure she was not there)? Could they have mentioned some of his inconsistencies? If this happened the insurance company may have tipped GG off as to why he could not file a claim and at that point he decided to get out of dodge on the first flight out.

We know he contacted the insurance company and talked to them a number of times. We know he hired an attorney for a personal injury matter. And we know for sure that LE was not ready to rule it as a drowning because they were searching on other islands. These are all facts. I just find the way he went about leaving suspicious. jmo

GG w8ll mess up again - he doesn't make money legitimately - I think Aruba and the US are watching him and it's just a matter of time. I sincerely hope no one else gets hurt.

I think any woman who had anything to do with him now would be crazy. Wonder how hard it will be to get back in business with his computers gone? jmo

I'm just jumping in here--but if GG slipped RG an Ambien in her drink, and it has been mentioned how fast it hits you----Wouldn't GG at some point in that walk have had to throw her over his shoulders to get her to their car??LOL!!

Depends on how fast she was drinking her drink. He couldn't make her drink faster it would alert her. The fact that it was reported she was woosie would indicate she may have gotten a partial dose. Not everyone chugs down their drinks.

ETA: This brings up a good point. GG claimed RG had taken the pill earlier. If this were true she would not have been able to walk to the restaurant as she does not appear to be woosie in the video as she is walking in, when she enters the ladies room the first time and she seems fine the last time. It's also interesting how when they are leaving she is lagging behind and he stops to wait for her to catch up. Was she starting to feel the effects. Did they end up getting back into the car on the peninsula because she could no longer walk without tripping and it was clear he was not going to get her into the water at that location without causing a scene????? So this DOES bring up some good points. jmo

Not to mention he faxed the policy to Amex and snail mailed it -- then called to make sure they got it prior to RG and GG leaving for Aruba. That policy seemed to be of utmost importance to him. Funny how someone so meticulous would be remiss in allowing a friend to take ambien and then take her snorkeling. If he knew she'd taken ambien, why would he then take 1) take her out in the first place 2) Allow her to go any deeper than he could effectively keep her safe?

The only way he would know she took ambien is if she told him or he slipped them in her juice. Point is, he knew and should be prosecuted for reckless stupidity.

In one of the videos GG is complaining about being in the Aruban prison as if he were being victumized. Essentially he was complaining because he was in jail with abusers, thieves, forgers, etc. Given his past history, may I borrow this famous saying...."the irony is rich." lol jmo
