-respectfully snipped and bolded by me-

Last night I came across the video where this info originates.

"According to the police report, obtained by ABC News, Giordano told investigators that he and Robyn were drinking Vodka at the Marriott, and Robyn had a bottle of pills in her bag, I do not know what those pills are for".

Here it is.

Thank you.

I have to say that statement , from the video, does seem rather strange.

If Gary Giordano actually made that statement out of the blue, well yea, that would be weird. To me the reporter was the one who just threw that in there without context. Perhaps if we were to read that report, and that statement was viewed" in context "it would make perfect sense. If they had her purse in front of them, with the bottle of AMBIEN, GG's answer might make more. sense.

Furthermore the statement by the fisherman , who said they did not go in the water, was not confirmed at that time per Taco Stein. We still have no idea if that witness has been vetted by ALE. It is "important" only if it"s confirmed.

I think the last report was that they had a number of witnesses come forward. GMA reported they had seen the statements of the witnesses and they all confirmed they did not see them go into the water. So it appears they had gotten statements after Taco Stein's interview. jmo

About the hair extensions

Just returned from aruba and talked to a lady there with hair extensions
She said she swims every day while in Aruba with her extensions
I assume there may be different kinds of extensions, i don't know for sure
But women do swim in salt water with extensions

There are different types. The very expensive types, like Robyn's, cannot go in salt water. They are glued onto the real hair , bit by bit. It is a long and painstaking process which takes 6 to 8 hours in a salon.

But cheaper hair extensions, which are woven in or clipped in can go into the water.

Lambchop just checking if I understand correctly, Babybeach is behind the restaurant, so front of the restaurant does not face Baby Bach but the opposit side?

What exactly do you mean by the front of the restaurant?
Is the front where people park their cars, or do people park at the back or the side of the restaurant and then walk to the front? TIA

The front of the restaurant is where people park
There is nothing at all at the back, just one or two solid doors
No exit or entry that customers would use to access the area behind the restaurant
There are little paths and roads that you can take your car down to get closer to the water
Baby Beach is to the side of the restaurant, not behind it

The area directly behind the restaurant is quite rough and rocky, but to the side there is a little sandy cove attached to baby beach that divers use
Its to the side of baby beach, not actually on the main beach
Baby Beach is quite busy and a beautiful spot to watch a sunset

The whole area behind the restaurant has some kind of rock or coral that has red marks on it. I brought a piece home
Quite likely, IMO,how blood on the rock came about

Yes, most likely correct. In fact, the report of a "bloody" handprint on the rock has already been discounted as false, by LE and all other reports as well, at least as far as I recollect.

As there seems to still be questions re: Robyn's hair extentions:

FYI:

1. DON’T put a conditioner or a hair mask on your roots when you take a shower OR use a shampoo+conditioner. This is a #1 No-No. Doing so will loosen up your extensions and will make some of them come off. Only use conditioner ( I recommend Pantene) on the very ends of your hair.

2. DON’T use very hot water when you wash your hair or dip your hair in a Jacuzzi water, it will loosen up your extensions.

3. DO braid your hair before you go to sleep, yes, every night.

4. DON’T dip your hair in pool or ocean water, the chlorine and salt water compromise the quality of the hair extensions.

5. DON’T go to sleep with wet hair, this is the #2 action that will loosen up your extensions.

6. DON’T blow dry your hair by pulling on it with a round brush.

7. DON’T brush your hair with a fine tooth comb, get a comp with larger spaces and brush the hair when the hair is semi dry or completely dry.

8. DO take a shower with a warm water using a regular shampoo. Put the conditioner on the ends only. Towel dry it, apply your regular hair product on the roots (moose, volumizer), blow dry it a bit and then you can comb it with a large comp. Brushing the hair when its still wet will loosen up the extensions. Its best to let the hair air dr

It has been all discounted
I am aware of that
My post was about how the rumour may have started

Thanks Otto I appreciate it.

What I am looking for is, what exactly the front and the back of the RumReef restaurant is.
Is the area where the cars are parked (and where we have seen Robyn and GG walking to and from the car) the back of the restaurant? TIA

No Micheline, that area is the front of the restaurant, facing the road.
The back of the restaurant is scrubby type land with pathways where you can drive and walk to the waters edge or quite near it.

To leave the back of the restauarant, you would drive back the way you came in or if on foot, you could walk to baby beach and leave in that direction

Take less time? Respectfully, you have posed the same question at least six times and it's been answered over and over when a simple email or phone call to the restaurant would have cleared it up since on one here has answered to your satisfaction. One of your people at the hotel could probably tell you even.

Well, I think my posts may have cleared the question for Micheline
The answers confused me as well because they were incorrect
I hope my posts helped her get a clear and accurate picture of the location

Comments from Robyn's hairdresser, Christina Jones, and Richard Forester, Robyn's boyfriend, regarding Robyn's hair:

<snip>

The latest People magazine quotes Gardner's roommate, a hairdresser who put in the hair extensions that she said Gardner was careful about getting wet, as saying the 35-year-old is not one to snorkel as Giordano says she did.

"Women that spend $1,000 (per treatment) on hair extensions don't go in the ocean, because it destroys them," roommate Christina Jones told the magazine.

"I've been on vacation with her. She wouldn't go in water above the waist because she didn't want to mess up her hair," boyfriend Richard Forester told People.

I do not understand the passion for hair extensions. What could they possibly achieve that would be worth so much trouble? And what could be less sexy than a partner whose hair can't be touched?

:laugh::pullhair:

Let me take a stab at answering that, Nova.

Here is the deal (as I see it). The thought of long, thick hair is a dream of many women. For the young it is mostly those in modeling or those who are involved in an industry that revolves around "looks". For the older women, well hair thins as we get older , especially blonde's for some reason, and extensions are a way to cover that thinning up. Anyone with enough time, money, and vanity can have a head of hair like a goddess.

It's a personal choice that lends itself to those who take great pride in their looks, "high maintenance' gals, if you will. Friends of mine have them and for 5 years I never knew it. That's how good they look. The problem comes in when you have the ones that are bonded to your hair with a "protein " gel. I think those are the ones that may be damaged by "salt water", they are also the most expensive. So if RG had those particular ones, she may have used them as an expense "write-off for her profession , (modeling). Or her girlfriend does it for free.

There are many questions I have about GG's guilt in her disappearance, but I must say, one of the areas I find a problem with is, hair extensions and "salt-water snorkeling". That is curious. Her makeup, dress, shoes, etc can all be explained away, the extensions--not so much. ....but she did know Aruba is an island, (duh, and water sports are a big part of a vacation there, so i have to assume she knew there would be swimming, and getting her hair wet might just happen. soooooo:dunno:

I have friends who do not swim so if they get into the water it's never above the waist. They have been going to Aruba for years. Why? There are so many other things to do. Casinos, clubs, getting a tan, going to a spa, etc. Water to them is a way to "cool" off. lol

If RG had just had them done, had just lost her job, why would she risk ruining her hair? If she planned on doing water sports she would have waited until she got back to have the extensions done. Plus the risk of making her roommate mad at her for wasting her time to put them in only to have them ruined in less than a week, whether RG paid for it or not, it's still a lot of work. I know I would not be too happy if someone did that to me. It seems as much out of character for someone to do this as it would be for a person on vacation to take a sleeping pill in the middle of the day. jmo

So does the front of the restaurant face the ocean which would be south, or north? It sounds as if you are saying it faces north. I remember the building but I think it was the clubhouse that I'm thinking of and it was closed at time.

Were you able to get any more information?

She just wanted longer hair. Some people can't grow their hair long, no matter what age. Practically every star you see has extensions - you'd have to be vain to get it :)

You may not be to happy about the re-do, but admittedly RG's life style and friends are an enigma to you .Her actions aren't something you or I could identify with. Who knows what RG was thinking, or even if she was, God knows you can't understand her going off to Aruba with GG. ........and we still have NO confirmation she took Ambien or one was given to her, but if she did maybe her thought processes were a little compromised.

Sometimes, believe it or not, people "let loose" on vacation and do things they would not ordinarily do, simply because the opportunity arises,,,not to mention some help from a little alcohol. Maybe that is just what happened and there will never be a reasonable explanation.:twocents:

Good hair extensions look and feel real. My daughter uses them because she has very fine hair and she likes it to be fuller and longer. She is an actress and a model who makes a good living and so she counts it as a write off on her taxes.

She swims in the ocean and the pool but she is very cautious. But her job kind of requires her use of hair extensions.
