what exactly is he supposed to do when he gets to aruba? drive around the island with an open window and a megaphone shouting "robyn!! robyn!! where are you??"? should he don scuba gear and dive looking for her remains? what can he do that ALE hasn't already done?
now, i understand if remains are found for him to want to go to aruba to leave a memorial/say goodbye, but this isn't the case yet... so i don't really see why he should go there or be condemned for not going there.
(and i don't think one can compare this to BH traveling to aruba asap learning of natalee's disappearance... NH was a minor... and BH is her mother. not the same thing at all imo)
Let's see if I can explain my comment.:
No I don't expect him to drive around with a megaphone calling out her name,
Now that would be silly, wouldn't it?
No I don't expect him to don scuba gear and go diving looking for her remains.
That would also be pretty silly ,wouldn't it.
....but you asked those questions, so here is my answer.
My comment/ my opinion:
I find RF to be disingenuous. He has inserted himself into the middle of this case, because he CLAIMS to be "in love" with Robyn Gardner.
Tell me if it were your fiance, lover, husband, someone you loved deeply, would you be able to be camera ready at the drop of hat, but never go to the "Place" you loved one disappeared? It is a show of support. It is a show of respect. It surely isn't necessary NOW, but in the days immediately following her disappearance it might have been the right thing to do, perhaps even accompany her parents. I believe in the beginning it was everyone's hope they would rescue her or recover her body.I would think he may want to be there to support her parents if nothing else.
I also find it curious how it is all RF, all the time on TV, and we have yet to see her parents. Perhaps he is the "family spokesperson", I doubt it though, he has not helped this case in any way, it is all talk. So there you have it MY opinion / my comment.
.....and there is absolutely no way I compare RF to Beth Hollaway---if for no other reason then, Her love for her child was palpable. :twocents::twocents:
