if he was aware of her script -and it seems he was- he most definitely could've attempted to use that info (and the pills) to his advantage. i don't see how one can realistically throw away this scenario especially after hearing how she was described as being "woozy" by bar staff.

if he did slip her a pill and she realized what effects she was feeling, how do we know she didn't do anything about it? she might've asked/wondered what the h--- was going on... we don't know. we only have his account of the events that day... and what was seen on tape. i think it's been sufficiently proven here that GG is a liar... even the ALE doesn't buy his "story".

about her sneaking drinks? is there surveillance tape of her walking around the bar with a drink in her hand a la GG and his trip to the car? is there footage of her at the bar? going to the washroom drink in hand?

she's a grown woman on vacation in a foreign country... why on earth would she need to sneak a drink in aruba???!

Why would she have a prescription if she didn't regularly take the medication?

Where does the part about GG slipping her a pill come from? She had the prescription, so no one needed to slip her her own medication ... she was doing that.

Her family is quoted in witness statements as saying that she was sneaking drinks.

She may be an alcoholic--that is a tactic used to insure their ability to get high. Like if your going to a party and you don't want people to know you drink too much, drink before you get there It is classic behavior.

I just think that we're really stretching the facts if we suggest that GG was responsible for drugging Robyn and giving her alcohol. According to police and the family, she had the prescription and she had a propensity to drink too much.

If RG had taken the pill earlier in the day and she was woosie when she left the bar wouldn't she have been woosie when she entered the bar as well. She seemed perfectly fine walking in. Unfortunately the only person who claims she took the pill was GG and we have no proof that she did take it when he claims she did.

He first claims there were pills in her bag but he did not know what they were. His story then changes to she took a sleeping pill earlier in the day and the pills were found in their room. He is perfect fine in the video when he's looking for help but suddenly as LE is trying to get a statement from him an hour later he suddenly appears to be drunk. LE asks him if they had ordered drinks from the bar and he claims they did not. LE finds out from the staff they brought their drinks in with them.

We really don't know what GG had with him because he could have easily gotten rid of it when her body disappeared. jmo

Thanks for finding that. So ambien users sometimes abuse the prescription for recreational use ... and combining it with a couple of shots of alcohol is not that unusual for people that are inclined towards substance abuse. That would leave someone in a relaxed state with memory lapses and reduced judgment. A drowning isn't out of the question under those circumstances.

I am on your side . I was questioning Vlplate's logic. She/he stated he wouldn't trust a witness whose name was not given. I was saying that he seemed to be ok with believing all of the witnesses in Aruba who gave "no Names"---so why would he not believe this "family member"??

Aruba is different because they don't release information. The family witnesses are here in the states and I imagine they were speaking to the media here in the US, not ALE. Big difference. jmo

If the witness statement was from the family and given to police, as stated in the article, then I suspect those witness statements were provided in Aruba.

I don't know how much we can say about whether she was woozie the entire time, only when she arrived or only when she left. Witnesses said she appeared woozie and that could have come from the waiter taking her order. There's no reason to assume that GG had anything to do with her prescription medication, but there's every reason to believe that Robyn willingly consumed her own medication.

Not sure why police would be taking a statement from a relative in a matter that took place in Aruba. This is an Aruban and FBI issue presently, not a local police issue. That sounds a little strange to me. Can you link this article????? If not, it's just not credible. We can see from the video that they were both drinking and GG admits to drinking. He is the only source that said she took a pill and yet he "supposedly" encouraged her to go into the water....not once, but twice. He claims he was sober, drinking moderately. So was he sober and stupid, or was he drunk and neglegent????

The man is 50 years old, runs his own company so suddenly he loses all common sense? I don't think so, it's all just way to convenient when there's a 1.5m dollar prize waiting in the wings. jmo

Actually I thought she looked perfectly fine in the video , when she left.

Do we really know if these statements were "in context" with the conversation, we know they were "out of context" by the reporter. He just threw that part about GG seeing the pills in her bag into his report. Out of nowhere!:dunno:

I would guess sober and stupid since he was not "negligent", RG was an adult who perhaps had to much to drink. The responsibility for her actions are her own. Again, drunk people are not thinking straight, that's why you shouldn't drink and drive, but they do all the time. Go figure?:twocents:

RG is not under investigation. LE know she was drinking. They know, according to GG that she supposedly took a sleeping pill. All information comes from GG who is less than a credible witness. All you have to do is provide the link and we will all know. Plus if she took a pill earlier in the day would she still be woosie??? Her pills were in the room.
