As if teen 'sexting' wasn't bad enough...

I love both artists! Songs all through the decades have been sexually exploitive or filled with other messages. In the 60's and 70's it was all about drugs and sex. It hasn't changed much today except for the style and beat. I am a parent to a 7 year old boy who loves pop and hip hop (I don't let him listen to the hardcore stuff) not because he understands the words, but because the beat. It's the same with most kids. If your children are repeating offensive phrases from a song then lock them in a closet to protect them from all the bad in the world. It's up to the parents to parent and realize not all bad things can be blamed on music.

I agree with everyone else, suggestive song's are nothing new.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with this song/video. I can think of a few videos that are much worse.

Anyone who posted happen to be a child of the 80's and early 90's? If so, think about the music from then. I never realized it until I got older and started hearing some of the music I used to listen to. Some of it has a lot of innuendo. Some of it just flat out says what it means!! Think of popular songs by Sir Mix-A-Lot, Color Me Badd, and Salt-N-Pepa to name a few. I actually used to listen to these songs with my parents around. When I hit my 20's, I became very embarrased by that fact.

I grew up then and listened to those same songs and never thought of any of them as sexual. I didn't even realize what Cherry Pie was about until I got older. It was just good music.

It's truly idiotic to think that things that are being churned out of today's pop culture trash machine are not influencing young people, whose minds are like sponges and highly suggestible. It's been proven time and time again that when children see repeated images of violence or sex, THEY COPY WHAT THEY SEE. And it seems beyond obvious that people, or ALL ages-- are just as suggestible.
And just as disturbing-- what the other poster said-- the quality of what is called music today has really devolved into a sad state of affairs. Dance....?? are you kidding,, to what? an emotionless robot-voice..??? The stuff is fake,, with no soul, no groove... just stiff, hollow, plastic, inauthentic,, no passion,, no real message of any substance.. not even an interesting sound to stir the senses and give you that chill up your spine,, that good music used to do. Just cheap plastic, computer-generated, sexed-up crap that is meant to suck as much money as possible out of the maximum number of consumer-drones who like anything that is put out there,, and it's more and more all just the same...

Remember "Yummy, yummy, yummy, I've got Love in my Tummy?"

I remember when that song came out (young elem. school age), we sang it all the time. One time our family was at a picnic, it came on the transistor radio (yeppers I'm old), and I realized what it meant! Don't think I ever sang it again around my parents.

Just wanted to make a small comment. I produce music. Hip Hop Music. I finalize tracks and executive produce CD's for my small business...

Respectfully BBM:

This is your opinion. I know when I use the vocoder and other tools, I do it FOR that hallow sound. FOR that loneliness aspect. Music isn't just for dancing, it's an art form, and I feel like people should be able to express that freely.

There is a horrorcore thread where a teenager went across the country and killed 4 people. He wrote music about it. Do I like the music? no. DO I blame the music? No. People, we HAVE to start being accountable for our OWN actions. THis world will ALWAYS have the "other side" or whatever it's referred to as, we can't shelter people, that is IN THE WORLD. ya know??

You want sick and twisted trash? You should see the stuff that Japanese youth watch and read in their anime and manga comics and movies, complete with exceedingly gratuitous graphic violence and sexual innuendos (like pedophilia) up the ying-yang...makes Lady Gaga look like the Virgin Mary. And yet they have the lowest crime rate and teen pregnancy rate in the industrialized world.

We have enough trouble in the world as it is without getting worked up over irrelevant pop culture.

You'd think the Japanese would be pretty conservative about such things, but they are way out there.
