Comox Valley Ground Search and Rescue, RCMP Air Services, Police Dog Services, and numerous frontline officers are all actively involved in the search. Their efforts will continue through the weekend and beyond — everyone will keep looking until Ashley is found.

Ashley was last known to be wearing pink leggings
and a grey sweater. Her hair is currently dyed brownish purple and blond. She has blue eyes and is approximately 5’4, 115 lbs. According to her family, the picture released of Ashley is a true likeness of what she looks like and was only taken within the last few weeks.

It is unusual for Ashley not to be in touch with her family and this has caused concern.

Search and rescue crews endured rain and rugged terrain on Saturday, searching for a missing woman near Cumberland. Ashley Bosma was last seen camping near Comox Lake on Tuesday, so people who live in the area and know its wilderness have joined the effort.

The park has 2 webcams that update every 5 minutes. One is of the main parking lot and the other is at the boat launch. I wonder how long they keep the images and if Ashley is seen on them. If so, was she by herself? Does she have a car? If so, where is it? If not, how did she get to the campground? Was she camping with anyone else at any point?

According to RCMP she was camping there. Of course we don't know what her attraction to the spot was. Was she a hiker? Was she a beach lover? They really haven't shared much. We don't know how she got there or whether she was with someone.
Did she have a vehicle? We'll have to wait for more info.

Where are you Ashley? We hope you are safe.

...“I survey basically our entire 185 acres, so if she was out here, in our area, I would have came across her. We’re a community, family you know whatever you wanna call it. We’re here,” said Shaw.

“A friend of ours, a family member actually went missing but never got found so, it’s a bit concerning to us,” said Graves.

Did they find her tent or anything? Who said she was camping, the campground is closed as of Sept. 30. Not a lot of information on her.

And the news video also mentions that she was last seen camping at a 'small lake east of Comox Lake'. I'm guessing that is was here (small lake on the extreme right of the google maps screen capture):

Now I understand why the local rod and gun group were involved in the search. LE says that they know "where she was last camping and they located her campsite".

Ashley's sister speaks on the news video and it is devastating. She just wants her sister to be safe, although she knows that as time goes on the prospects get bleaker.

Where are you Ashley? People care about you and want you to be safe.

I didn't want to overwhelm the upload here on WS...so I am continuing my post from above.

RCMP went back to her campsite recently to look for more clues. This area looks challenging based on the video image of the area.

We don't know if she walked away into the woods, uh if she's still out there. We don't know if she was picked up by anybody. We're trying to figure that out.

Family (her sister) are saying that it is unusual for her to go through the day without contacting someone. They are very concerned, naturally.

...Police have confirmed that Ashley was last seen camping near Comox Lake in Cumberland on Tuesday October 14, two days before being reported missing. It’s possible she may have entered nearby trails, been picked up, or walked to another unknown location.

Cumberland is reporting highs in the 40's and lows at night in the 30's. I can't imagine her still being out there. Was her campsite abandoned? Or did it looke like she had planned on returning to it?

One thing I did note, was in the photos with blond hair she looks very fit and healthy, later pictures with the dyed purpleish hair, especially one where she is shown full body standing in a large top- she looks gaunt IMO. Did she have any underlying health issues that might have left her more frail or easily disoriented?
