Well,if you were Steve Thomas, would you tell us? :)
SuperDave is 25 years old, too young to be Steve. :)

SD was once a firm believer in the Ramseys' innocence, but his growing doubts led him to an in-depth study (and imo to the truth) of the case, and here on WS we all profit from his in-depth study and extensive knowledge.
He knows both sides of the fence, he knows the arguments and tactics of the Ramsey advocates, for he has been to their site (an I suppose got a bucket of Jameson dirt emptied over him when he started asking questions which they didn't want to hear over there.

In terms of SteveThomas: On the Crimelibrary JonBenet forum, I read an excerpt of a year 2000 chat room talk with him, but I forgot to copy it and can't find the post anymore.
The chat was about what JB was wearing to the Whites' party, and I remember ST saying JB was definitely wearing the sequined shirt and black velvet pants to the party.
Too bad none of the chatters asked him how JB's hair was done! For the strange way in which her hair was tied in those ponytails probably was just another staging attempt by the Ramseys.

Does anyone here remember which chat room this was where ST answered questions?

We are most fortunate to have him .......My doubts grew over time. And my interest came from the moment the news broke. When she was kidnapped and they had not found her yet. I am sure familiar with getting the bucket of dirt emptied on me for what I believe.

I remember when all the KarrCrap was going on. My boss asked me what I thought. Well, imagine his surprise when I said, "I think her mom killed her" "What?!?!?!?!? No way..no way would a mom do that to her daughter!! What about the ransom note?" he says.
"Have you ever read the ransom note?" I ask...and rush to my computer to print out a copy. He reads it and says..."Well that seals it for me..NO way did her mom write this bunch of nonsense!!" "WHY would she?"
at that point, knowing what I was up against, I smiled and went to my office.
I had just washed my hair and didnt need any dirt coming down on me LOL

Thank you for the praise, people.

Would you doubters like to see a copy of my birth certificate?

Sadly, the question "are you ST" is not always asked in a friendly sense. Sometimes it's an accusation.

an I suppose got a bucket of Jameson dirt emptied over him when he started asking questions which they didn't want to hear over there

You're right!

I beleive you,was joking b/c I saw, several posts up,that someone had asked you that, and I thought ..that's kind of a useless question,b/c even if ST was posting here,I don't think he would tell everyone who he was. :P

Nine-ish seems to be the approximation of when they got home and there-in lies the mystery of the pineapple! Lou Smit describes the pineapple as the "bugaboo".

You see there was fresh pineapple lying out in a dish on the Ramsey kitchen counter and JonBenet was known to be very partial to pineapple. Pineapple wasn't served at the Whites' house.

Experts give us a 2-5 hour window during which the pineapple would have digested to the stage where it was in her system.

Now (the bugaboo bit) - the Ramseys left for the Whites' at 4-ish so if JonBenet had eaten the pineapple BEFORE she left for the Whites, then it means she died very shortly after arriving home - i.e. at the 5 hour edge of the 2-5 hour digestion period. However, John Ramsey and Burke didn't go to bed until some time after 10 because according to John, they made a model together before going to bed.

Alternatively, JonBenet could have died between midnight and 3am but that means she ate the pineapple when she got home and both Ramseys claim that she was asleep when they arrived home and didn't waken up even when she was undressed and put to bed. It should be noted however, that Burke allegedly claimed his sister was awake when they got home from the Whites and that she walked upstairs by hrself.

As Lou says - the big bugaboo!

Bump -- this is an important post.

The big bugaboo is right! It is the single most incriminating piece of evidence pointing to the Rs as the killers in this case, IMHO.
Why? Because it is absolutly THERE, without refute. In her stomach. AND on the R table. The SAME pineapple (it was analyzed). Not just in a photo. Frozen in police evidence.
If the Rs were innocent, they would have no reason to lie about something as innocuous as giving their daughter a bedtime pineapple snack when they arrived home.
It's a fact that in order to stress their innocence, they have to be convincing when they say that she was carried in asleep (a version their own son disputes) and they never saw her alive again. The pineapple proves otherwise. PR's (and ONLY PR's) prints are on the bowl. No "mystery male caucasion DNA there.

Why lie about feeding the snack before JonBenet went to bed? Eating pineapple upon arrival home, as you said, shouldn't have any relationship to her being killed at say 12 to 2 A.M.

Was she killed before she went to bed? Did something happen downstairs rather than in JonBenet's bedroom or bathroom? What was so important about hiding the fact JonBenet ate pineapple? It seems like a normal, innocent thing to do so why lie about it?

DeeDee, I've never figured out why they thought they had to lie about her being asleep when they got home either. Add that in with the pineapple and it smells fishy to me!

It's not so much that they thought they had to lie about the pineapple itself. They had to lie about her not being awake and not seen alive again. They had to lie because that pineapple was eaten about 2 hours before she died. It would NOT appear partially digested in her small intesting if she had eaten it at the White's or before going to the White's. It would have passed further along her digestive tract by that time, possibly even been excreted.
The pineapple in her stomach took them by surprise. They had no idea it would be found in an autopsy, let alone in an identifiable form. At the awful moment they realized what they had done- where the pineapple she had recently eaten would be in her digestive tract was NOT among their realizations. And if it ever HAD been they would assume, as most people without a background in forensic medicine, that it would be digested and unrecognizable. And the bowl had only PRs prints. They HAD to deny knowledge of it. It pointed right to PR.
Why is the timing important? The closer the murder to the time they arrived home (say, death occuring midnight-1am as opposed to 4 am) the less likely it is that an intruder commited the crime. JR and BR were up a while playing with a toy. By PR's own admission, she was up for a while doing last-minute things for the trip. How would an intruder know where to hide? There were presents in the basement, maybe PR needed to bring them along...who knows what rooms she'd be going in? Even in a big house like that, with parents up and about no intruder would risk walking around the house. First JBRs room (to kidnap her) with a sibling right down the hall, the kitchen (to feed her pineapple) the basement (to molest/kill and stage the crime).
Sadly all the pieces fit one way. The arrive home around 10. They are all awake. JBR, while she has been readied for bed, has a pineapple snack between 10 pm and midnight, given by PR, possibly after BR goes to bed. The rage/abuse occur around midnight or so. Scream is heard by neighbor. Strange lights are seen in kitchen by neighbor (as the Rs move around with a flashlight so no one sees in the windows. )There were no shades pulled down in the kitchen- PR had short valences on the window. People could see right in, at night with lights on inside.
Cororner confirms pineapple was eaten about 2 hours before death. Rs put Dec.25th date of death on gravestone. Both are correct.
