I don't think it would point fingers at them Camper, even if PR read the RN word for word to the 911 dispatcher. I think the details of the RN were ignored completly by the R's. So why write such a detailed "fake" RN and then just ignore it? PR says she did not read the entire RN and nothing on the 911 call conflicts with that statement.

IMO, the Ramsey's wrote the RN and ignored it as a part of their plan to cover up the death of their daughter.
They confused the crime scene so as to make the evidence point to somewhere else other than themselves.
It is quite apparent that both John and Patsy are intelligent people- What intelligent person would leave a note[like that] and then do the opposite of what it says to do?? That was the question they wanted to raise in people's mind's,preferably LE.......
This is consistent with JonBenet being molested with a paintbrush- What sort of parent would do that to their child?? Certainly not John and Patsy, pillars of the community; honest, god fearing folk....
Well, what I see is two people who were desperate to explain what had happened to their daughter. They did what they did because they thought they had no choice.
Edit to add, Patsy may not have read the whole note but she sure knew what was at the very end of it....Victory

Strangly enough narlacat she was asked "Does it say who took her?" by the dispatcher. I really still don't understand why the dispatcher asked such a question. Did she think she would know the kidnapper?
Anyway where else would you look for a signature but at the end of the letter. It's not a hard thing to find on any letter.

Take a good look at that crime scene I think just the opposite is true narlacat.
The killer confused the crime scene so as to make the evidence point to the R's themselves.

My point exactly narlacat and intelligent people don't cover up molestation and murder with a kidnapping RN.
In fact "intelligent"(your word) people would be very sure to leave a point of entry. They would also not find the body themselves.

Yeah, I dont know about that dispatcher, that was a stupid question to ask. She didnt sound very switched on considering the importance of her job.

Well, you know zman, for all the reading I've done on this case, I've yet to read about Patsy and John jumping up and down, shouting for everyone to hear..." WE ARE BEING SET UP, SOMEONE IS TRYING TO FRAME US FOR THE MURDER OF OUR DAUGHTER".
I could be wrong, they may have mentioned being set up somewhere, but it's certainly not something I read every day whilst researching this case.

Intelligent people who were desperate to explain how their daughter had died. Who do you think is responsible for molesting JonBenet before the night that she died?? An intruder?? Fleet??
They didnt have to leave a point of entry, every man and his dog had keys remember?? Courtesy of the Ramsey's. And I'm really not sure that none of the doors and windows were unlocked.
They had no choice but to find the body, the police kept missing it....funny how when aksed to search the house, John goes pretty much straight to the basement. Why start at the basement, the last time she was seen was upstairs in her room, why not start there??

I agree about the dispatcher. When the tape first came out I said I thought she sounded a bit like a valley girl. She certainly didn't inspire in me a feeling of confidence and calmness.Don't forget - The FBI did not feel there was evidence of prior molestation.

What's a valley girl Tipper??

I seem to remember a song by some American guy....something about Valley Girls. She didnt instill me with confidence either.
I thought it was the FBI who thought she had been molested prior to the 26th. Better check my facts I think.

Naralcat,

When Det. Arndt asked John to check the house for anything unusual,Johns' answer to that was,(in so many words),"Okay, that makes sense ... I'll start from the bottom up."

If I remember correctly,Fleet wasted no time going straight to the cellar by himself, shortly after he arrived at the Ramsey home.

In
"Like, totally, the end of one mall's era," CNN April 15, 1999, Anne McDermott wrote the following: "There was a time when the Sherman Oaks Galleria was the most famous mall in America, at least among those of a certain age. They loved the Galleria and loved that it was mentioned in the 1982 Frank and Moon Unit Zappa hit single, "Valley Girl." And why not? The Galleria was widely considered to be the birthplace of the "Val" (as Valley Girls would refer to each other in a kind of shorthand). It all began in the fall of 1980. That's when the Galleria opened in the heart of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, better known locally as "the valley." Back then, the three-story, skylighted, enclosed structure was considered the epitome of all that was cool in mass consumption. Teens discovered the Galleria and quickly packed the place. It had everything: trendy boutiques, Pac-Man game booths and what passed for exotic fare at the food arcade (yes, even hot dogs on a stick). Plenty of the mall rats enjoying all this were boys, but, for some reason, it was the girls who were noticed. And somehow, someone, somewhere, thought to call them "Valley Girls." Like, totally, a lingo To be called a "Valley Girl" was not exactly a compliment. It conjured up images of vacuous, giggly girls with lots of time on their hands and a bizarre language on their lips. Moon Zappa captured a lot of that talk in 'Valley Girl,' the song she wrote and recorded with her father. Naturally enough, she learned her Val-Speak at the Galleria, where she got to know a lot of Vals. Moon Zappa satirized the culture with lyrics that emphasized the air-headedness of Valley Girls, but in a recent interview, she said she only wrote the song so she could spend more time with her father. In those days, Frank Zappa was touring with his band nine months of the year, and Moon, then 14, simply missed her dad."

I believe the FBI info is in PMPT. Saw it recently but can't remember what I was looking up so I have no idea what page it might be.

When reading the above posts from Naralat and Tipper concerning the dispatcher of the 911 call,I thought it was a perfect example of people hearing and seeing the same things, but getting a different conclusion.(Happens a lot this case!)

The feeling I got,was the dispatcher sounded cool and calm, until Patsy mentioned the ransom note.It seemed to me that's when the dispatcher took he call more seriously.

Like ... bummer, that is soooo not cool!
(That's my sad attempt at valley girl talk!)

I've been trying to think who did that song....and didnt remember until you reminded me Tipper....I get the idea, we have valley girls here too lol.
It IS funny how people percieve things differently Capps, I dont get cool and calm from that dispatcher at all. I get Valley Girl!

I know it was Arndt who suggested John check the house, but it just doesnt make sense to me him starting from the bottom up.....she was last seen in her bedroom....wouldnt it make more sense to start from the point where she went missing from?
I am sus on Fleet also. Something a poster on this forum once told me has always made me suspect him. I would repeat it, I dont think she would mind, but it's a bit trippy. People would think I was crazy if I posted about it.
His actions and the falling out with the Ramsey's do leave one wondering.....

Maybe it's an age thing. I know as I get older my doctors get younger and younger and when I meet a new one I find myself thinking "What is this sixth-grader doing practicing medicine?!"

There was something about the rise and fall of her inflections that just didn't work for me.
