Updated to 8.
The ordeal began around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Cottman and Rising Sun avenues. Students from Northeast High School were waiting at a SEPTA bus stop. As the Route 18 bus pulled up at the stop, three people exited a car that was parked across the street outside a Dunkin' Donuts, police said.

The three people then pulled out guns and fired more than 30 shots, according to investigators.

Police said seven teen boys and a teen girl were shot. Two of the victims are 15-years-old, five of the victims, including the teen girl, are 16-years-old and one victim is 17-years-old, according to police.

Location (really the intersection of Cottman, Rising Sun and Oxford), a very busy corner. Northeast High is further down Cottman, on the corner of Cottman and Algon.

Think any of these shooters were legally able to possess a firearm?

Ahnile Buggs and Jamaal Tucker have been arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, firearms charges, reckless endangerment and related charges, according to the District Attorney Larry Krasner. They are being held on more than $2 million bail.

Tucker, 18, turned himself in on Friday after police obtained a search warrant, said Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore at a news conference on Monday.

US Marshals arrested Buggs, 18, early Saturday after another search warrant was issued. When Marshals arrested Buggs they found a .40-caliber Glock 22 pistol with an extended magazine that was fully loaded and had laser sights on it—a Glock switch—that made it fully automatic. It matched casings found at the scene, police said.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled March 20 for both. NBC10 has reached out to the public defender's office for both men and they declined to comment at this time.

5th suspect, 15, arrested
A fifth suspect has been arrested in connection to the SEPTA bus stop mass shooting that left eight Northeast High School students injured on March 6, Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore announced on Thursday at a news conference.

Through evidence and video, investigators were able to determine that a 15-year-old was inside of the Dunkin' Donuts that the car used in the shooting was parked at, located across the street from the Route 18 bus stop where the shooting took place.

Vanore said this suspect was in communication with the previously charged suspects that were allegedly inside the blue Hyundai Sonata. Phone records showed that this fifth suspect identified people at the bus stop for the shooters and sent pictures, according to the police.
