The self-righteous hostility in this woman is palpable. Sometimes I think she is trying, in a passive-aggressive way, to make sure her daughter gets convicted but does not get the DP. Anyone seeing the way this woman attacks (and, from what we can see, parents) could imagine a child (particularly another narcissist) nursing a jealous grudge that might turn deadly. But the same scenario would likely be mitigating circumstances for a DP; the toxicity and anger that oozes from both in their relationship is pretty evenly matched.

CA, to me, seems hell-bent on being the only martyr here - mourning the loss of a real grandchild and an imaginary daughter she made up for the press that now languishes in jail.

They aren't going to be able to find a juror who hasn't heard of this case in one way or another. The theatrics are going to cause the odds of jurors to go into that courtroom with a preconceived notion that the defense is a team of liars is growing daily.

ITA I wonder if Brad's health is going to hold up-he looked terrible today and seemed to be having alittle bit of labored breathing. I'm sure some of that is because of his paralysis - but still!! You can see this is taking a toll on him!

I have a feeling it's all for show. He's representing some pretty vile clients. The public perception of his clients is at an all time low, and he needed the public to "listen" to what he was trying to sell. If his physical appearance looks beaten down you would have sympathy for him and in turn perhaps his clients. It a trick many attorneys try to play, including inside a courtroom.

Although, if it wasn't for show then I feel terrible for BC. He did indeed look not very well. I'm just not too sure if it wasn't a calculated ploy.

I'm really disappointed in him. When I first saw him I thought he was cute and I was hoping he would be really smart and articulate as well...he has a little of the underdog appeal to me, but he is really being manipulated and I am now feeling sorry for him.

My take on him is that he is not pliant enough for CA. Even though he gives it his best effort, sometimes he sticks to his guns. And whatever his injury, his backbone is intact IMO. I think he thought he could handle this couple and in the process of helping them, make a name for himself. (I have no problem with him if that was his motive, as after all, none of us believed that either of the A's had anything to do with harming Caylee when he came on board.)

Like on the last LKL when LK kept on asking why they don't go visit KC and the A's kept making excuses, but when LK asked BC he said, "I think it's a defense mistake. I think they should go, etc etc."(not exact quote) And boy if those daggers CA shot him with her eyes could have killed? BC would be dead now. And she made a fool of him on national tv by correcting him regarding when the release of the photo of the diary came out. She also incorrectly corrected him on the same LKL regarding the date that entry was written. (If I were him, at the end of that show, I'd have said...."you are on your own--goodbye and good riddance") And I heard him say a couple things at this farce of a presser that I don't think is going to go over well with CA. The way he answered about looking for a live Caylee not long ago and still?, and that CA operates on emotions. I think he is either going to tell her to take a hike or CA's gonna give him the boot. One of the two will happen soon IMO if BC does not become HER hand puppet with NO thinking done on his own, no speaking on his own, etc.

That's my take......one of the two will happen any time now if he doesn't stop thinking and speaking on his own. He'll either completely disappear into "Fantas-anthony Land" or he'll bounce. MOO

It's technically legal, as what he did realy isn't all that diferent from what NG and JVM do every night. But I am wondering if it is ethical behavior from the standpoint of an attorney. KC is not his client. His task is protecting and defending his clients. This just seemed to be rather blatantly serving a diferent master then the ones he is legally ethically and contractually obligated to act in the best interests of. Which is truly nothing new in this case.

One other key question. How or where did he get these documents, and what was his business being the one to disclose them? If they were not directly released by either the state or the defense, then how or why was he releasing documents to the public for a case that was not his? Why was he granted acess to them in the first place? And why would any such access continue?

I think you have just unintentionally summed up exactly why Mark NeJame refused to represent the Anthonys and resigned. I can only imagine the kind of outrageous fevered demands CA must have been trying to make on him in November.

While not in the forefront during the trial phase, I think Cindy's relationship with Casey will become the focus during sentencing. The defense will try to mitigate Casey's crime and lack of remorse by pointing at Cindy as having created this monster and Cindy's narcissistic need to control.

Yesterday's press conference, debacle, exposed the Anthonys insulting the public's intelligence once again. It highlighted their weak attempts to change public opinion, when placed on the hot seat with challenging questions from well-informed News Media, who READ and comprehend the documents, better than they or their Attorney.

How can they not see the damage they have done with their previous history of lies and deception, and yet once again appeal to the public with this embarrassing charade. Cindy A. cannot and will not stop, until she accomplishes something, good or bad! JMO.............

I think that if BC had a thriving legal practice outside of the A's...he would have been out of the case a long time ago...but he has thrown all his eggs into one basket, and now he's forced himself into taking his ques from them as he knows this is who's paying his bills. Pretty sad.

So is it agreed this was all a big bust? The press coverage has been neglible unless you really go looking for it. Not even baynews9.com, a site that's always pretty quick to post Caylee articles, was mum on the subject. It fell right off the main page BEFORE the presser. Google news search results don't make it look very good for the Anthonys and co.
