Woman to tell of offer for MP to vacate seat

by: Steve Wardill

In a bizarre twist, the white Apple iPhone containing the recordings was also the same phone of Dr Flegg's which was lent to accused wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay.

The phone was given to Baden-Clay by the couple in April 2012 after police had seized his mobile as they investigated the disappearance of his wife, Alison.

"We did discuss it," Ms Heath told a committal hearing at Brisbane Magistrates Court in March. "We agreed that I'd lend him the phone."

Stickybeaks spark move to ease traffic dangers around Allison Baden-Clay tribute site at Kholo Creek.

GRIEVING friends and crime scene ``stickybeaks'' have helped prompt the State Government to create a parking area at the bridge where Allison Baden-Clay's body was found.

The Kholo Creek bridge at Anstead has become an important area for family and friends to pay tribute and is a magnet for strangers who have followed the high-profile murder case.

Allison's family has also installed a stone monument and will soon add a memorial plaque at the site, where her body was discovered 10 days after she was reported missing in April last year.

"We wanted a permanent memorial as a tribute to Allison,'' her sister Vanessa Fowler said yesterday.

"We go there to reflect on Allison's life. It's not just to remember Allison's birthday or the day of her funeral, we go there often.''

Moggill MP Bruce Flegg said the site at Mt Crosby Rd had become a traffic hazard before the parking area was cleared.

"It's presented a safety hazard for some time. Main Roads have been to see me a couple of times about it,'' Dr Flegg said.

"They've been leaving flowers and just stickybeaking and there's been family and friends.

Gerard Baden-Clay case: no decision on if witness can be called

Date August 26, 2013 - 11:19AM

A judge is yet to decide if a family counsellor privy to confidential discussions with accused wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay can be called as a witness.

Justice Glenn Martin held another review of the matter in the Supreme Court in Brisbane on Monday.

He is considering whether a family counsellor can testify during Baden-Clay's month-long murder trial, which is expected to start next year.

The counsellor is required by the federal Family Law Act to give clients confidentiality.
