A woman accused of murdering a man before his body was found inside a surfboard bag is believed to have been in a relationship with him and paying him rent.

Wonder whatever happened to this case? Again, the media haven’t reported any follow up on it since August, 2024.

“Ms Cummings briefly appeared at Coffs Harbour Local Court via video link on Monday from maximum security women's correctional centre Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney.
The defence told the court Ms Cummings had breached a good behaviour condition of bail for a different matter.
The homicide case has been adjourned until mid-October.“

Lisa is being held in a Forensic Hospital ie a mental health facility and I believe her mental state at the time of the offence will form the greater part of her diminished responsibility plea.Wonder whatever happened to this case? Again, the media haven’t reported any follow up on it since August, 2024.

“A woman accused of the murder of a man whose body was found stuffed into a surfboard bag on a remote bushland driveway has entered a plea in the Supreme Court, setting the stage for a high stakes trial.
Lisa Marie Cummings, 35, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of Nambucca Heads man Mark Myers, 62.
The body of Mark Myers was found in a surfboard bag on the driveway of a property at Darkwood, sparking a massive police investigation which led to the eventual arrest of Cummings.
Police allege Cummings murdered Myers in a different location before the body was zipped into the surfboard bag and moved to Darkwood in the Thora Valley, west of Bellingen.”

In summing up, the defence and prosecution agreed Cummings’ had an established mental health diagnosis - having a mental health impairment, being diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2019. At the time of the killing Myers believed the television was sending her messages, with a voice telling her that if you don’t kill him, you will be killed.
Cummings will be detained under mental health orders.
