This is part of the reason that I believe those bones were dumped in the fire pit, probably using that barrel and not all were dumped, some were left behind, but JMO

ETA: :welcome: to the forum! I'm not sure if you have posted before, but keep posting!

RSBM. Thank you! I enjoy the posters on this thread and their thoughtful insights. I especially enjoyed BCA's transformation from G to NG. I'm always a few days behind but enjoy reading when I can. True Crime & Disney are my obsessions but work and family distract from both. Thanks for the warm welcome! Great sleuthers on this thread. :loveyou:

It was quite the transformation, wasn't it? lol I loved that even when BCA thought he was 100% guilty, she still asked questions and wanted to be informed and helped us find more information even if she thought it wasn't going to lead anywhere. I truly believe that if more 'locals' would look at the facts, and do their own research, they would possibly come to a different conclusion too. JMO

From comments and opinions that I have read elsewhere today, it is looking a bit like that, and a bit political. Back in 2005, the sentiment in the general public was that they were guilty... long before the trial. With the documentary and the general public having access to more of the "facts" and not just what LE/Kratz wants in the news, not everyone believes the narrative now, and it has eyes from not just all over the U.S., but the world watching now. JMO but this judge knows she is being watched, she is not going to allow any delay tactics or funny business from either side. I looked her up the other day, pretty sure she is up for re-election in 2017, I was wondering how that could affect this case?

Couldn't agree more, she's in the spotlight and she just isn't going to fall for ANY hank-panky. (this is JMO for the record) It is very possible that she resents the tarnished image, MCSO's office has brought upon the state as well. Especially if she is a good judge and takes her job to heart.

Aweee...I do think the Avery threads have some of the best and friendliest WSer's I've come across. I think I'm a little late with this...but...welcome if I haven't said it in the past.

I've been missing a long time and I missed this!?!? Wow. 👍🏻

I'm six weeks from due with our sixth so I've been busy with baby planning, gestational diabetes "dieting," walking 30 minutes a day at midwife's orders, and renovating bedrooms to accommodate said sixth child. lol

I have read off and on since I heard about Brendon but have missed LOTS, I'm sure!! Miss you ladies!

How ARE you? Scratch that. It's obvious ;)
So nice to see you are still with us. I think of you often. Then again, I think of all of my WS peeps often( sending all my love from MI )
Baby #6, AMAZING! My folks did that. LOTS of fun times us kids had together growing up! In a time when all we had was one another and each one of our imagination's to lead the way:dance:

Gestational diabetes dx stinks though. Been there, blech. I HATED cutting the starch/sugars from my diet & LOVE to eat period!

Anyway, happy to see you are trying to stay caught up here and all is well your way!

You make a valid point here, Missy girl:goodpost:
I agree 100%. With this being an election year this judge ( if up for re-election ) & all she says, ( or doesn't say ) does, or doesn't do WILL be under a microscope.
IMO:read:
Just happening to have the ( WORLD known ) Steven Avery case tried before her, could justice prevail in this case after all?:justice::crossfingers:

*as I silently chant*
" Please let her ( judge ) be a good person, please let her be a good person "
All JMO

With regard to the phone ( forgive me Missy, I'm nodding off hahaha )
After I read this last tweet, I read comments. ( always do ) What's with the phone being reported destroyed in the barrel AND logged as evidence?
We went over this already, yes?

I'm not sure if we have gone over it much... but here is what KZ has put in the motion:

Motorola phone 1.PNG
motorola phone 2.PNG
Motorola phone 3.PNG

Sorry, I had to take snips because can't copy from the document.

IMO there are issues with all the different 'stories' and she wants them to produce the phone that was logged into evidence, a phone that they got from TH's. I think the phone was supposed to be her old one and she had just got a newer one. I can't recall the specifics at the moment, but both her old and new phone was a Motorola Razr, just different models, and IIRC from posts elsewhere, they have distinct differences.

I do believe this was also questioned in earlier threads...I don't recall where, maybe the phone thread. But someone, I think it might have been Missy~~caught the fact that the phone was taken into evidence from TH's house and asked how her phone could have been found at her house and that it could not be in two places at once.

Missy is correct, if you look at the phone contract it was purchased in August 2005. She most likely had her old phone at her house. Not unusual for someone to keep the old one, especially if it is still working. God knows I have quite a few laying around here.

Good morning sunshine! :D

There was some pretty good pictures/posts on reddit about the phone and the differences in the models, if I have time later, I will see if I can grab the pics. Some of the posters had old Razr phones hanging around, because like you said.... don't we all? LOL

I think part of KZ's point is also the barrel's.... so many conflicting reports about the barrel's! I have tried to make sense of it and can't, obviously, her team also ran into the same problem. IMO

  • #295
I assume that the phone fragments found in the barrel were not enough to positively identify it as being Teresa's. Why would LE log into evidence the phone taken from her home to put in the burn barrel? Why not take a different phone that was "lying around" and use that instead?

It's looks like some of the officers left out the phone in reports. Does this mean that not all of them were part of the conspiracy? Or does it mean some were sloppy? The later seems more likely to me. JMO

Of course not all were involved in the conspiracy. It could never fly that way. Compartmentalisation is how these things work. Everyone only knows as much as they need to.

I don't know. It seems if you're going to plant evidence you would do it in a way that other officers can't testify that there were no phone fragments in the burn barrel.

I'm sticking with sloppy report writing. JMO

If he was framed, not all had to be a part of it, I think that has been said before, but maybe not?

And if they were sloppy, that's excusable?

As for her phone, no I do not believe it was identifiable. I would have to go and look, but IIRC, the flash cards were not extensively tested to see if they can get anything from them, I don't believe the serial number was found on it, and I don't think the SIM card was found either, but I will say JMO for now.

Actually looking at the info again.... 1 out of the 5 conflicting statements was from a report. The other 4 were from sworn affidavits and 1 was from the Criminal complaint. Sloppiness in legal documents should never be excused, should they? Especially from LE.
