Bs was arrested and jailed late April so it can't be him unless police have dates way out. And no doubt he was being watched, his face is well known in Australian media and like I said he was in gaol 6-8 weeks ago.

SOUTH Australian police have not ruled out a possible connection between remains of a child found in bushland off the Karoonda Highway and the case of missing toddler William Tyrrell who disappeared from Kendall last year.

A South Australian police spokesman on Thursday said they were making inquiries in all states in relation to the discovery but were not isolating the possible Tyrrell connection.

"We are still waiting for forensic results (to determine the age and sex of the victim)," he said

True. It would explain the speculation that BS had handed William off to someone else.....JMO

Same Brightbird I know it's tragedy regardless of who it is... but I do hope it's not WT anyway. Can't help feeling that way.

Krig - BS did say he didn't do anything to hurt him, didn't he? Which I interpreted as a deliberate choice of words. Didn't deny involvement just denied 'hurting' him, IIRC.

You're right Makara, the reporter does refer to the child as a he.

Thinking of William's family. I hope they get answers soon, this waiting must be a nightmare on top of what was already a nightmare.

The hat looks like a school uniform to me, although the size looks too large for a prep aged child. I was googling to see if I could find a school uniform with a green hat, orange trim.

If it is William I am trying to place when BS was in jail according to the reports of when the man was seen. Some of the reports are saying 2 1/2 months ago, some 2 months. The age of the man is just so coincidental. Seems like most of the arrests lately have been of men in the same range.

Yep. I doubt it was BS but there has been a flurry of arrests of men around the same age.

Now the news sites are publicly speculating like we have been. The only news sites that have been reporting the discovery so far have been local news... but now it's spread nationally. It took 24 hours for the other sites to pick up on it which is unusual. They were holding off for some reason. I have a sick feeling

If they can track this suitcase guy down it 'may' blow something wide open. This guy may be alone or part of something much bigger. Hopefully the right witness comes forward.

I didn't want to get carried away, but if this is what we are dreading (don't get me wrong, this upsets me whether it is William or not), then I think he has died soon after his disappearance and has been hidden somewhere.
Perhaps around the time police got close someone ratted on someone and this is a revenge of some sorts? Giving the police the evidence? Or maybe body was moved because police were getting too close?
One of those would make sense - the suitcase was placed around the time of the arrest, right?
Totally getting carried away and speculating here. It may not even be a child that has been reported missing.
So strange though about these well dressed middle aged men that keep popping up.

Another case that I am following were discussing Statement analysis. It made me think of that sentence BS used. The suspect was using the same type of phrasing. Very interesting subject to read on.
