Its stated in the past 50 posts. He walked through town with the suitcase? :)
Crabby - Where has it been said specifically or what makes you think that (BBM) ??

I thought the Project show was just saying they (police) can't say he is - as they have yet to identify him ... which makes that statement true...if they can't find him - they can't rule him in or out ???

Also .... sorry I may have missed something. When was the suitcase (timeframe) originally on the east side of the town??
I thought it was always west of the township itself and had simply been moved further west as people came across it and had a look through it ???

There was no adult clothes in the case so, either adult clothes were taken out or these clothes are deliberately placed in the case.
60 yr old male visits, with one suitcase, but none of his own on foot for eg: weekly stay.
60 yr old suitcaseman is not local.
Suitcase is not his. Suitcase man has transport.

Someone else dumped that case back in the bush. The suitcase floated around in the bush after several emcounters with the public until suitcase man put the case out to be found in a wider stopping area visited by the public, found good and proper.
Correct me if Im wrong. The clothes vary quite a bit in their sizing?
The dirt from the quilt may vary from the dirt on the case. The case was originally on the east side of Wynarka and ended up in a place with high public presence.
Suitcase man is not the perpetrator according to police.
Why would you keep angels clothes post deceased if you intentionally murdered Angel?
Dementure?
Why wouldnt you burn the clothes and any evidence with it? Police may be hoping someone else who dumped a case with clothes would recognise the contents minus the body.
Without looking at items in the physical, it dores make it hard.

bbm=
Seems easy to imagine, that someone dumped a case without little girl inside. BUT how come girl bones of an about 4yo girl precisely into another people's suitcase with girl clothing in compatible sizes?

I know we have discussed every avenue out there and this too has most likely been discussed in earlier threads. I have been trying to think fresh with new perspective and it brings me back to why Angel was dumped there is the first place. Most logical explanation is panic and needing to dispose of something quickly as has been mentioned before. But why, what was happening at the time for this to occur? I also believe like many the bones and clothing were originally buried or similar close by. Keeping all this in mind I found this link and cant help thinking this was the reason for the sudden need to retrieve and dispose of something. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-05-21/tailem-bend-racetrack-redevelopment-gets-green-light/6486972
Maybe the family or persons concerned were somehow involved with the Tailem Bend racetrack? Angel may have been buried there and race goers are often either Holden or Ford fans and this would explain the Holden boxers? On May 21st the Tailem Bend racetrack redevelopment got the go ahead meaning earthworks would commence. Could this be the reason for sudden panic and disposal, I think quite possibly. Just something to consider maybe?
You are spot on.. I have just not slept recently just thinking of racing Tyres... I think this is the answer

SAPOL apparently believe he is involved, so that's good enough for me.

I think its easier for folks in North America to write him off as a red herring simply because your population is so huge.

In rural SA, a place like Wynarka, pretty much is like something out of the 50's - this guy would've been gawked at like he was from Mars.

Wynarka is on the way to nowhere, literally.

Strangers wandering about with suitcases are going to be talked about.

Its simply too much of a coincidence, NOT to be related, imo.

You gave me a morning chuckle with your description.

I grew up "in the sticks" "out in the boonies" in Indiana. So, I mean, I do know small area living. Oddly enough I saw some places that reminded me of Wynarka the other day. Everyone saves everything and piles it on their property.

I still maintain no one has proven he had the same suitcase. Is there something I've missed?

I would like to try something in a joint effort.

I'm a very creative thinker, but hopeless when it comes to data.

I would like to see a timeline (a horizontal line) with markers. And then above the timeline these dashcam pics from left to right arranged by date (lastest date on the right).

And underneath the time line, arranged by date the dates suitcase man was seen by witnesses (date, where he was seen, by whom, walking in which direction and with/without suitcase).

And some rainfall data on the timeline (when did it rain a lot) to see if that could account for the 'colorchange' of the suitcase.

Anyone wants to join? :D

Arrrr...I get your drift now Crabby...just your post @ 411 made me think that maybe I missed something and that the suitcase itself had been observed along the hwy EAST of town and then made it's way to the west.. I had never seen that anywhere so that would have blown me away...

BUT yes technically you are correct...the man with the suitcase was observed walking from the East side of town heading in a westerly direction...until he crossed their line of sight turning left onto the hwy...

Just wanted to clarify that for any new members..... The suitcase itself was never observed East of the town along the Hwy..But the man carrying a suitcase was observed walking through town with it.

I think he was seen walking through town with A suitcase, while (according to the dashcam pics) THE suitcase was already lying by the side of the road :waitasec:

I would love to Dutch.....but I couldn't come up with anything like your suggesting... As far as the color change in the suitcase - I can't remember who..but someone posted on here awhile back who Knew a lot about textiles and gave a lot of info on the material used in the Quilt.....If you could find that member - I really think they could help with the question about Fading of the suitcase.

Me personally.... I think the suitcase could well and truly fade that much.... If what police are saying is correct then the suitcase has been out there for close to 100 days in the height of summer .... and then it also experiences rainfall periods as per Makara posting up the pics of the puddles on the ground ... when it was found and reported to police...

ETA: that's weird timing you asked that question cause I was just researching suitcase material today....so yep if you could find that poster/member she/he could probably give a better idea about the fading...as I suppose it will depend on if the case was made from Nylon, Canvas or PVC .... I have no clue...but that poster might.

But seriously, was the suitcase lying literally next to the pavement for 3 weeks? Is there no police driving on this road? Wouldn't police fur sure stop to have a look at this thing. Are there any locals walking their dog at this particular spot? Wouldn't a dog or wild animals for sure have picked up the scent of any remains, or decomposition inside this suitcase?

And what about those geocashing people that were in that area? Somewhere in a corner of my mind I faintly remember that they were (so if anyone can come up with some hard evidence for that :please:). And while we're at it, let's put the geocashing people in our 'joint timeline' as well :D

I think there is some green growth on the suitcase (algea or moss), I kinda doubt that happened while the suitcase was lying alongside the road (even if there had been a lot of rain). I think that developed before the suitcase got there. But 3 days of heavy rain or a crispy dry suitcase could make a huge difference making it look black or dusty grey I guess.

Lol...yeah I know...just crabby's post @ 411 was just a bit ambiguous... just wanted to rectify that for any newcomers...

WOW.... ohhh where to start...

No... ..this is my opinion only based on my memory ....the suitcase was hidden some time after the roadworks was completed in Mid March...they could have missed it, but for now the police are assuming they are correct. So the suitcase was hidden some 11 metres off the hwy until some guy decided to stop and take a leak in May sometime.....He found it suspended in a tree and he took it down and had a looky loo in it and then placed the suitcase closer (3 metres) from the hwy. Last nights Project story seems to imply that this account by that witness was verified by the dashcam images taken that they showed on the program - that his account was true and he did indeed place the suitcase closer to the roadway...Mmm was there some doubt previously by the police on this witness's account?? - possibly...but that's now cleared up.

Out there on the hwy wouldn't seem an ideal place to be walking your dog.... the nearest town..Wynarka itself.....has many backroads leading out to quite country roads...so hwy wouldn't seem to be all that appealing..

A wild animal probably did come across the Bones at some point in time and I think that's why when all these people have stopped they probably didn't see a skeleton..as the remains were maybe somewhat scattered...it was only the last guy that stopped for a second look ...and he happened to notice a jawbone.

As for the Geocaching..... I can't remember the numbers I worked out....but it wasn't big...from the time "Cachers" were hidden up until they were advised to stop looking (Caching) in that area due to the investigation...the number of people who had actually stopped and found a cache was quite small.....from memory - the feedback from the people geocaching in the area prior stated it was
a hard place to stop and pull over to go look.....But I have no doubt at least a few of them would have come across the suitcase as it was so very near to a few of the placed caches...

But if you need the data on the geocachers...I can get that info for you...

It's a big ask Dutch....but I like the fact your asking...

I have messaged someone from the dungeons of Websleuths....who maybe be able to help with a video construction ...just have to cross fingers they reply and can help....

I'm not sure either ..... the green residual marks makes me think the suitcase has been placed somewhere for a considerable?? period of time for that to happen...but...I'm not expert..so I have no idea...

I think if you want textile, cavas, suitcases or that kind of stuff to start growing green algae or moss on its surface, that you need to keep it wet voor long periods on end.
I don't think it'll start growing after a nice rain shower, if it gets a chance to dry between showers.

I have even wondered if the suitcase could have been stored for a longer period of time in one of those water reservoirs like you find in Wynarka. The ones that collect rainwater from roofs. That could especially be a serious option if the suitcase seems to have been partially submerged for periods of time.

And that's something the police should be able to check by forensics.

at 00.31 there seems to be rain of the car's window. So on 07.11.2015 it was raining and therefore the suitcase probably looked darker.

DutchTreat, you are now able to begin your excel list ;)

There are ........... a time/date + weather + suitcase pic ... (missing only: suitcase man/where/with/without case)

P.S.
Mr. Fossil from another forum (Pistorius) would be your man for accurately excel line-ups!

If the case was face down in the dirt it may have picked up some soil with a growth on the underside?
The case may have laid open. The case had shifted over time. Had it been flipped over?

Im going to stick my neck out and say some the clothes, if not all are from a charity shop.

Someone picked it up. Where is the council highway pick up? What sort of intervals do they come through? Biannually? This would give us a timeline.

'Superintendent Des Bray said the decay of the skeletal remains had made identification difficult.

“Unfortunately, we do not have a definite gender from a forensic point of view of DNA profile, the degradation of the skeletal remains has made this very difficult,” he said.'

I can't make out whether this comment of Bray's in yesterday's article is recently made, or the journalist is reminding us of things said in July.

I can't make out whether this comment of Bray's in yesterday's article is recently made, or the journalist is reminding us of things said in July.

In late July, police unveiled a mannequin of a young girl, with light-coloured hair and wearing a dark leotard in an appeal for information from the public.

Superintendent Des Bray said the decay of the skeletal remains had made identification difficult.

“Unfortunately, we do not have a definite gender from a forensic point of view of DNA profile, the degradation of the skeletal remains has made this very difficult,” he said.

BBM: Reading it in context, Des Bray said this in July.

In late July,

I took that into consideration which was why I wasn't sure. I wasn't clear whether the time frame from earlier paragraph applied. The main subject of the article is the new release of footage. Also late July was early to be expecting a DNA profile, I think.

However, I haven't heard that Bray returned to the case after going on leave. So I agree the statement probably is not new.
