You might just be right Bohemian, about the divesting.

Another thing that bothers me in this article is the use of the word our.

We are being told he's now part of the Dreamworld team, we should trust him because the corporate Ardent Leisure can't be the bad guys can they when he's chosen to stand alongside them and accept their offer in such a important position after this horrific accident. And at the same time he is standing with the community.

Call me cynical too ...

Here are the 163 (at bottom) pages of the stuff they released. They are sideways . On the left you will see three tabs. document pages text .Click PAGES it makes them readable. At first, a lot of the pages are sideways!

Wasn't a really pleasant start the day - but I had heard last night on a podcast (will try to tind again )that they HAD been released- so I was determined to find them !!

Interestingly the media picked a couple of the --the air things, and the knee being slashed open cause they had not replaced some cheap padding for long enough for the thing to rust which apparently stabbed the poor guy in his knee. They paid for a tetanus shot.

However IMO the scariest one was on a roller-coaster. It had mentioned as it "stopped"Well, apparently what happened is that it indeed did stop. There was all kinds of confusion between staff, and patrons were being told different things about evacuating. Some staff they were gonna start evacuating others did not.

Soe riders got anxious and wanted off, so they undid one of the two safety belt things. Some guy at the time was at a fuse box or whatever and flipped a switch, and the stupid thing took off and went through the ride. The idiot apparently thought that clicking that breaker would not result in the ride going on its merry way with some people on that had only one of the two belts. IMO that is more than a "roller-coaster" stopped!

They used tape to cover up leaks in waterslides.

I love writing like this when it is about stupid:

I have never understood what a released/redacted BS event is! I get names etc, but when passages are blocked out it certainly seems somewhat silly to release info then to redact before the release is released; which really means there was no release because it was redacted so do not call a release a release if it is redacted! A release when it is, in fact, a redacted release is really not a release it is a redacted release! Which does not make it a release at all.If you release a release without redaction then it is a release! HA!

Had an edit problem continued from last post !!!!


I mean really, would one buy a book with missing pages? A car with three wheels? What about an egg with no yoke? A keyboard missing an "A"! A sheet "set" with one sheet! Lets try a table with three legs! How about an oven without a door? A lightbulb missing the filament! A car with half the motor? A tricycle with two wheels? A remote control with a broken on/off button-- how does that work for ya!! A month supply of meds with 27 pills? "Stereo" headset with the right speaker out! Half empty bottle of bleach? A 15 pound bag of dog food with 12 pounds in it!

They really dont need him. While media is present they need to have bulldozers go in and get to work and have really shiny new rides sitting in the parking lot -- that'll fix it!

I note that in Ms Thomas's introduction of the Inspector to us all, she puts forth the roles he has played in the past in natural disaster recovery.
These examples imo are irrelevant ..... they are not examples of recovery from a man made disaster.

"Dreamworld allegedly allowed one staff member to supervise a 13-storey roller coaster despite safety recommendations that at least two people need to operate the ride.

The Gold Coast theme park has come under attack from the Australian Workers Union (AWU) after an email was obtained from 2015 defending the decision to let one employee run the Cyclone roller coaster, the Australian reported.

The manufacturer recommend two, but preferably three, people oversee operations of the ride, now known as the Hot Wheels SideWinder, as one person needs to manage the control panel while the others make sure guests' harnesses are secure."

I agree this (like most of the rest of this tradegy) made no sense either. It is really not all that complicated - you want people to come back - replace your stuff - it truly is that simple.

All this back and forth nonsense is indeed insulting- your time has come- replace or close shop mo

Quit all the dancing- you are liable, pay your bills and move on . Just out of respect give the families money, after what you took from they are entitled, chop chop enough already dont turn this into a legal circus jeeezzzz

"About 200 staffers have returned to work at Dreamworld less than a week after four people were killed in a raft ride accident at the Gold Coast theme park.

Dreamworld chief executive Craig Davidson admitted the park could not say when it would re-open but staff were being paid during the closure period.

Mr Davidson said they had started a 'cautious and staged approach' allowing staff to return to work and that around 200 workers were at Dreamworld on Monday."

Learnt about them a fair few years ago st a lecture by forensic psychologist, Michael Diamond. He called them industrial psychopaths. Think of the movies 'Wolf of Wall Street' and 'Greed', etc.
