Pardon my ignorance but what does that acronym mean? I've seen it and BBM being used but I've struggled to work it out on my own and Google hasn't been much help 😅

Look at the top of the Missing Person Discussion forum page, and you will see a link for "Websleuths Lingo." You should be able to find most of the
acronyms listed there.

Yeah, I noticed that mention of dogs being brought in were reported within the last day or two as well as the tracker, but you're so right - these methods may have been much more effective if they were utilised much earlier on.

I can't help but think of all the foot traffic and scouring that could have potentially disturbed signs that a tracker could have picked up. JMO.

- on page 4 of this thread, Sazza provided screen shots from 7 News footage which showed a sign in front of the residence, which read "Oak Park".

There's an Oak Park Road 20kms south of Yunta.

(measurement showing distance from pin point on Oak Park Rd to Yunta)

Using Google Earth, I noticed several properties and small stations as well as multiple dams dotted along Oak Park Road, however I was unable to discern whether any of these are related to this case.

The property may not even be on or close to Oak Park Road at all. This is all just MOO.
My apologies.. the correct name is Oak Park.

Don't see any toys. What he was playing with?

I wish a tracker was brought in earlier. Have they used dogs as well yet?
Hope is fading, but there are dams on site, so who knows? Do we know how far away the dams and water tanks are from the home?
Hoping for a miracle for little Gus.
Dogs have been used and divers have searched all dams etc and they have stated dams are at very low levels at the moment

Saturday, September 27

“Gus was last seen playing in a mound of dirt with a little shovel in his hand at the front of the homestead on the remote station about 5pm, according to police.

When his grandmother went to check on him, he was nowhere to be seen.”

I was thinking he could be drinking from the dams if he's still with us.

It can be quite common in rural properties to have a lot of "stuff" lying around, which I did note appeared to be the case in pics we've seen of this property. I sure hope every last spot he could be hidden in has been checked. I don't recall many details but there was a case a while back where 1 or 2 little boys went missing in a remote Aboriginal village somewhere in outback Australia. Turns out they were playing in an old abandoned car on the property. I believe one or both died, and I also believe the car had been searched prior, but not well enough as I think one or both were found in the footwell.

I just googled the case, here it is:

When I zoom out around the area, the name of what seems to be THE property appears……. not sure but it looks similar IMO

What are the rules relating to posting names?
I haven’t been active in here since William went missing.

A general rule is to be kind. The family has asked for privacy and they have not revealed any names. Even though names can be found in the press, pushing against the family's wishes is not going to bring the boy back any faster and achieves nothing at this point.

Got it! I’m glad I asked. You are right, happy to respect the family’s wishes.

Agreed. Seems a bit off

Have you ever walked along a sandy road and noticed that all your footprints had disappeared by the time you walked back? A wee breeze can wipe the ground clean. This footprint must have been protected.

Australian Army called in as footprint found in search for four-year-old missing in SA outback

It comes as the Australian Army, a specialised tracker and dozens of police cadets join the search.
A footprint believed to belong to missing four-year-old boy August “Gus” Lamont has sparked fresh hope in the desperate search which now entering its fifth day — but police warn time is running out.

The print was discovered on Tuesday night, just 500m from where the little boy was last seen playing outside his family’s remote sheep station, 40km south of Yunta in South Australia’s Mid North region.

The alarm was raised just after 5pm on Saturday, sparking a massive search across the isolated 60sqkm property surrounded by outback-like conditions and dense scrub.
“We’re buoyed by that fact,” Superintendent Mark Syrus said in confirming the footprint matched the boots Gus was wearing when he vanished.
Despite the breakthrough, Gus has now been without food or water for days.
“Our priority has always been to find Gus alive,” Syrus said.
“But he’s been gone for 86 hours (at the time) — no water, no food, no shelter. The chance of finding him alive is really diminishing every minute.”
Forty police cadets have travelled from Adelaide to join the search, which now includes a specialist tracker with deep ties to the land.
The cadets join more than 100 personnel including police officers, SES crews and volunteers, plus drones, helicopters, dogs, horses, police divers and aircraft scouring the vast outback property.
On Wednesday the Australian Defence Force confirmed to 7NEWS the army has been called in to support the search.
Police have spoken with Gus’s family to prepare them for the possibility he may not survive.
“We always remain hopeful that Gus is a tough little country lad, curled up under a bush somewhere — and we’ll find him today,” Syrus said.
Gus is Caucasian with long blonde curly hair.
He was last seen wearing a grey sun hat, cobalt blue long-sleeve shirt with a yellow Minion on the front, light grey pants and boots.

Sadly not looking good now IMO - Hoping for a miracle for the little guy and his fam 🙏

Okay, so less of a sand pit purposely designed for child's play and more of a pile of sand that a child happened to be playing in. MOO

That is good news! I do believe following true crime can make one a bit skeptical or pessimistic but if it’s been protected that’s good
