Yeah. I've suspected the same person since the beginning.
Likewise! I don’t think it’s any secret who that is.

I noticed on the live that LE said he wouldn’t comment on where the suspect is which to me suggests she’s at the police station and is about to be charged, Imo.

Do you think the suspect is JM or SM? SM said he went missing at c5.30. Someone's statement has to be 'inconsistent' with others here, but whose? Gus' mum was said to be with JM and away from the homestead at the time Gus went missing. Maybe that statement is wrong, yet Gus' mum is not a suspect and is in the dark per the press conf. If the suspect is SM then how did she hide Gus from the others? How did one suspect bring this off? Perhaps later it will emerge that there is a second aiding and abetting suspect (not parents). This is major.

I don’t feel like it’s possible for JM to have harmed him, if that is what LE is implying, without SM also being involved in the cover up. How can you be left minding a child for an extended period of time who had been murdered and disposed of already without ever noticing that that child wasn’t actually there? It would have taken time to hide him (obviously very well because he hasn’t been found) as this is a very remote area.

Why did none of those adults notice he wasn’t where he should be? If they did notice, who knew and has kept their head down to protect the family all this time? MOO

That poor poor baby. I honestly started to think they'd get away with it. I've had my suspicions from fairly early on about one particular gp who seemed highly aggressive and controlling. The press conference did not move me away from that thinking.

LE noted 'discrepancies in the timeline'. To me, that means 'he was playing in the sandpile' is suspect. 5/5:30, out.

When was that precious child last seen?

Is that the discrepancy, that one says they were together at the time of interest and the other says they weren't?

It was the only clear bit of info they seemed to want to share. "The grandmother was alone with him, she was the last person to see him, this is what he was doing. We were miles away at the time." Then silence. I always wondered if that story was true or if it had been concocted as a cover, either to protect someone else in good faith, with genuinely caring intentions, or knowingly sharing a false story in bad faith.

Two of the adults weren’t at the properly all day. I personally think he was killed the night prior and hidden then. Evidence cleaned up the next day. Jess would have left early the next morning with JM and not noticed if Gus wasn’t in bed, imo.

I think SM was coerced into providing the story about playing in the dirt giving JM an alibi at the sheep farm away from the property, and is now cooperating with police against JM.

IMO

Quite possible. He may have been moved and disposed of in the middle of the night, prior to the reported incident. And Jess got up early, fed the baby, and went into the further fields to work. And the rest of the day was staged?

I guess that is why the grandmother felt there was absolutely no need to release a photo of dear little innocent Gus way back in the beginning!! 🤬🤬🤬

It would have been corroborated by other people on the property and also Jess, though.

I think LE mentioned on the live that it was only January 10 when police were given other conflicting information and did another search.

I think SM has cooperated with police against JM only recently. This would also explain why SM wasn’t involved in the search but JM was.

The Christmas period would have escalated tensions and grief for the family, imo.

I wonder if perhaps there was a hot car, then cover up involved here?
Just a guess, nothing more...

Possibility Gus was still at station when police were first called

Det Supt Darren Fielke was asked whether Gus Lamont may still have been on the station when police were first called to the property.

'Possibly. Police were on scene quite quickly when they were advised Gus was missing,' he told reporters.

'Yes, there was some time in between, but it's possible.'

That’s my theory. You wouldn’t bury a child in the broad daylight typically, imo. I think they’ll find him buried on the far corners of the property.
