My hunch is

The motorbike/vehicle was heard/seen in the distance leaving/returning to the property in two different locations.

The motorbike imagery is significant.

Josh has suspected the grandparents all along and is absolutely furious with them and unable to contain his emotions towards them which is why he has never spoken publicly.

If there was a legitimate reason to have one then why not have a licence for it..
Hi, they are illegal to own except in highly restricted circumstances. No one would get a license for farm use, however I believe they would be a useful item on a farm.

Yes, it makes total sense that Josh suspected or knew it was one or both of the grandparents from the start. I also wondered whether this was one of the things that was reported to have been "said that couldn't be unsaid" at the time in reference to strained relations between Josh and Jess/other family members. Perhaps Jess was initially in denial.

I wonder which grandparent rides the motorbike?

Besides, IMO,
JL was treated abominably by not being informed immediately of the boy's disappearance.

Gus is his son,
JL has parental rights.
Equal rights to mother.

Being told by Police and not family,
many hours later,
the next day in the morning,
is difficult to understand.

In case of emergency concerning the child,
all previous disagreements should not count.

The child is the most important,
and nothing else matters.

Not to mention,
it was reported he was still not welcomed when he arrived to participate in the search.

It says a lot.
Now, it is another damning element,
especially as one resident is considered a suspect.

Moo....it would be Jesse's responsibility to contact Josh, I would think. Josh did live and work on the farm previously. We do not know the reason he left other there were disagreements. It does take two people to argue. ..moo

Arguments mean nothing
when a child is IN DANGER!!!

But, of course, in case of (alleged) foul play,
nothing is surprising.

Just another red flag.

Jess more than likely was too overwhelmed by worry, fear and panic to think straight at the time.

It looks like Shannon is riding the motorbike on the imagery photo because of the hair. This very well could be a subliminal message.
More than likely both grandparents ride the motorbike at times.

It was said at the police press conference that the body may have still been on the property when police were initially called and the body was later moved. It appears a tracker noticed something unusual, not sure what it was.

Edited to add: ‘several items of interest’ were seen by a tracker.
That is very important information .

Do you discount the possibility of him wandering away and becoming lost?

(Of course now with LE's latest announcement it does seem unlikely. But did you discount it from the start?)
IMO - I never believed he wandered off, not for one single second. I have no clue what did happen, however the first released story of him having ‘wandered off’ never rang true for me. MOO

Sorry to return to this contentious subject (might be my last post on the subject for a while), but I think you will find that this was trespassing. There was a No Trespassing sign (I have posted the image a couple of times). Plus the police had asked/told the media to stay away. That changes things.

The following article is about a South Australian case. Someone was awarded a civil monetary award ($40,000) by the courts because the police served him a summons at his home when he had a No Trespassing sign up.

.... officers should be aware that occupiers of premises can revoke the common law implied licence to enter their premises either by having a visible sign at the premises, by verbal revocation or by physical barrier (e.g. closed gates).

In such circumstances, absent any statutory authority or warrant to enter the premises, entry may be unauthorised and could amount to trespass and an adverse award of damages.

IMO - 99% of the time, I agree with everything you post. Not this time though SA, <modsnip- personalizing> MOO

I need a refresher on the source for that too. Thanks

Yes I agree re it being her responsibility, and I don't see now( or recall) a source for where it's reported that Gus' mum didn't attempt to contact JL that evening at some point. All of this is just speculation IMO.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed>

It is understood Mr Lamont only found out his child was missing when police woke him up at his Belalie North home, hours after Gus had vanished. “

I remember in earlier days of the search for Gus, when I believe it was Josie, made the comment 'You can't help' in regards to the efforts. I've never forgotten that, does anyone's else feel strange about that now? Was that some sort of insider comment, like nothing is going to change what has happened so don't bother to come searching. Just thinking this over, of course I don't know what, if anything, that comment meant... but it's absolutely stuck with me.

Could you please link to the relevant report? I do remember vaguely something along those lines being contained within a DM report, though without the temporal and situational context for the statement (if true) it's hard to parse and speculate a reasonable interpretation ( or any for that matter). “……Josie Murray - who locals say transitioned many years ago - told the Daily Mail the family had not lost hope.”

'We're still looking for him,' she insisted, while declining offers of assistance in the search effort.
'You can't help. We are still dealing with this.”
