Alleged serial rapist caught by DNA named​

An alleged serial rapist has been arrested by NSW Police after detectives used cutting-edge DNA technology to connect him to three cold cases spread 11 years apart.

Robert Wayne Kwan, from South Kempsey on the state’s Mid North Coast, had his matter mentioned briefly in court on Thursday, a day after he was arrested over the cold case.

Glad he's alive to pay for his crimes.

Something has to be done about getting rid of the rape kit back logs.

Three rapes over an eleven year time period is just unacceptable.

absolutely - no one that sick only does something only three times in 11 years and the wide range of victim ages show that he's not laser focused on one target group IMO
