I have wondered if Allison in fact drugged GBC to go and do something or meet someone, which is why he slept so soundly.

"The Courier-Mail understands the body had no visual signs of foul play but police are treating the incident as a homicide.

The Courier-Mail also understands:

The search for clues will take in a Scout camp upstream from where Mrs Baden-Clay's body was found.
Police are hopeful of finding her mobile phone after narrowing the location of the key missing item to an area spanning 150m.
Police believe the killer could have taken Mrs Baden-Clay's body to the area as early as 8pm on Thursday April 19.
Mrs Baden-Clay's body was found well outside the police search zone in the 2km around her Brookfield home, revealed by the receding waters of Kholo Creek that were subsiding after a weekend of torrential rain."

I still think it's a really good point that someone brought up a while back... that if one or both of the cars had been moved during the night, there would be some evidence of that. If both cars had been moved, then that couldn't just be explained away by saying Allison must have gone out. They even look for things like, was the seat in her car adjusted to her height, or someone else's. Put all of this together, and they may have known very early on that something was not right with what GBC told them.

I know all of the above has been mentioned before, I'm just saying that they are REALLY good points. Plus, if the dirt on the tyres matches that from around where the body was found... more explaining for him to do.

Now thats on a different train of thought!

I still believe that IF he didn't kill her, then he knows what happened. I don't know, I still can't get my head around how he's acted, and his apparent silence over the whole thing. The only thing I can think of would be IF he knows and has to go with the flow for some reason. But still...

And if he KNOWS what happened, then it would be wrong just to report her missing and make up a story. Just say he DID say something happened to her at the hands of another, I'm sure they wouldn't say she was missing, would they? Oh well, that's my BLAH BLAH!

How many average housewives drug their husbands to go out late at night? I think that doesn't fit Allison's profile IMO. I don't think he slept at all that night IMO.

Probably called them all Angel so he didn't get their names wrong. Moo

I thought exactly the same when I read that. I guess it would make a girl feel special to be called that.I've never obtained such heavenly heights.Barf.

maybe I'm just sn old cynic but over the years I have known so many couples who appeared to be so lovey dovey but turned out one was a control freak or worse.

Yeah I wonder. involved or involved in something that ultimately led to her death? Possiblymay not even be certain, but a almighty big suspicion of someone, if there were 'stuff' going on. I mean if anyone he is going to know the goings on of their family(of course).. such a miriad of possibilities.

Just to be clear..all just thoughts.

I wonder how well rested he seemed on the Friday. I wonder if the police observed a man who slept well or not at all??

Whats the saying?.. Things are not always as they appear. Really what the outside world sees is sometimes a different story to what goes on behind closed doors

Good point. There would be a big difference between a man who had been awake for 1 hour and found his wife missing... and a man who had not slept at all and had been doing a bit of running around... and pooping themselves to boot. He'd still have to have been in a bit of shock over it.

I find myself only *completely* believing what Supt Ainsworth has stated in the press conferences to be accurate...otherwise unless the media specifically mention his or other police names in reference to details given to them...

I think the delay in an arrest maybe because they can't easily establish a cause of death.
If she had been found sooner and had been axphyxiated the signs would have been easier to spot.
However if she was strangled and her hyoid bone broken that should still be obvious.
If they can't establish the cause of death their case is going to have to be based on more cicumstantial stuff, the fact the main suspect lawyered up and isn't talking can't be helping.
If you say nothing you can't contradict yourself.
IMO if he hadn't lawyered up he would have confessed by now.
Nothing I've read so far has ever made me doubt who the perp is.

On the topic of GBC having A single scratch on his face and SOME on his hands/upper chest - if he assisted at the cross country, either in preparing/laying out the course etc, then it's no surprise whatsoever he'd be covered in scratches from undergrowth he may've cleared, slashed, removed etc. I know when we prepare for 4WD long weekend runs etc. the menfolk look like they've been attacked by a tribe of angry cats!

As to the footprint bruise on his chest - sounds to me that hairdresser's been entertaining the locals again - I mean seriously, who the heck would've seen his bare chest in order to be able to spread such a rumour - oh that's right one of his harem of lovers, how silly of me to forget them.

A primary school carnival would not be in bushland requiring undergrowth to be removed it would be an already cleared path, sorry to burst that theory.

I guess alot of it comes down to your personality. If I was to accidentally kill my partner, I would not be able to even try and cover it up. I couldn't lie, or even begin to think I would ever get away with it. It would be so obvious to police who came around to the house that it was ME. It's obvious not everyone feels that way, because it happens alot.

There was a case in US....2yr old Caylee Anthony...her body was found dumped in a swamp around 5mths after she was first reported missing. Forensics were unable to identify cause of death.

But that is quite a long time...Allison's body was found 11 days after she was reported missing...so hopefully forensics will be able to determine cause of death.

What did Allison have to gain by popping off GBC? She was keen to keep her family in tact. We know this from her BF and her parents. She seemed intensely private and had suffered the embarrassment and humiliation of her husbands affairs for quite some time and has stayed on hoping despite possible DVs (MO) and an upsetting in law family dynamic. Her belief system (christian and other) may have played a big part in her prior personal and career success - stick to everything until you succeed and she probably lived by this edict.

But what did GBC (or others) have to gain by popping off Allison? She was in the way of an affair, worth quite a bit of money, insurance - wise, was hanging on to a man who was more interested on his next pickup and his image, ABC was on the outer of the BC family inner niche - while GBC other female friends seemed to enjoy the camraderie of the BC elders - ABC's roles in the family business (C21) seemed token and dispensable.

just a few thorts
