good on you CJ...you have faith in what you believe in and are trusting your gut....I am a complete wobble head tonight, and i hate it
Please don't beat yourself up over it. I'm glad to hear people question their initial instinct. It shows that you're looking at this situation with your eyes wide open. It also lets us see what a compassionate person you must be.

No, my head isn't wobbling on this one - no doubt whatsoever. IMO there is going to be one outcome, and it will end in tears for ***life Gerard.

Allison's Mobile Phone: I haven't been able to figure out how a mobile phone could only be triangulated down to three suburbs until I considered the possibility that the phone could have been moving about. When it eventually came to rest it was within 150 metres of the house.

Theory: Allison's mobile phone was in a car. A car that was not impounded for forensics. The driver eventually found it and tossed it out near the Baden-Clay home.

The theory doesn't hold up very well as whoever had it would logically have thrown it in a river unless they had some reason not to. Perhaps reformatting it, worried a continued search would lead to them. It does support the notion that the phone was charged somewhere near the end of the first week to make it findable near the house..

Food for thought only.

It's probably been mentioned somwhere on here before but how long would it take phone co. to locate it??

IF your theory is correct...blue car??...thrown out at BC's to make it appear as though GBC had tossed it??

I'd still like to know if all those gutterings & septic tanks were checked at BC's & or church/child centre.

"Food for thought"...I think our thoughts are sooo over weight now...lol.

I think Minni was referring to the business downturn dear sweet happy Heyerdahl, better be nice or mods will see you picking on the poster
Nope - I don't believe I misread the post. Much of it was in capitals too - is that not the same as shouting to get your point across in blogland?

I live in an average residential area, and in the still of the night we can hear yelling from an awful long way away. So, yes I think the neighbours could well have heard something.

Sadly at my house, in the still of the night, we also have to put up with various idiots {few different houses} who think it's good to slam doors, break windows and throw eachother out of their houses all through the night. With that comes the necesary abusive language and threats. But no need to worry, they all make up again the next day... well they have to, otherwise they wouldn't be able to throw eachother out the next night. ho hum.

I'll add to that, that we don't even live in a bad area. lol

In relation to the phone, I find it strange that the police did not use the dogs, maybe it is only to use in buildings.

The ability of dogs to sniff out mobile phones was discovered in America, and earlier this year Assistant Superintendent Troy Seychelles from John Morony travelled to Maryland to learn how to train dogs in the skill.

phone related I've still got a fixation with what time the sister in law spoke to Allison on the night........and why...

The phone has had me puzzled too - something very strange there. In an earlier post I wondered why police had been so slow in pinpointing its location and then, days later said it was within a 150m radius of the GBC residence. It occurred to me that someone had 'planted' it there for whatever reason.

Gerard?

It's interesting you should note this, Bayside. I have noticed a significant decline in the number of times news media are posting stories related to this case on their social media pages.

This is an extremely interesting occurrence, given the repeated concerns raised (particularly in the past couple of weeks) regarding defamatory comments made by web users who, according to observers, seem to remain largely in one of two camps: those who are ignorant of defamation risks (which is, as we have seen in previous links, no defence under the law); and those who believe the warnings do not apply to them and continue to post comments which could be considered defamatory.

I would wager the resources that a news organisation would have to plough into moderating the comments attached to their posts would be huge. It would seem a cost-prohibitive exercise fraught with legal risks which any traditional publisher would not prepared to take.

As others have previously noted, this will be a very interesting case to watch.

IMO UTFL

Cheers

I couldn't let this one pass without comment :) The media went into overdrive a few weeks ago, trying to stay on top of all the defamatory comments being posted on their story links to Facebook. They then had to disable comments from the stories on their own websites to prevent public opinion/defamation.

its true, I am guilty of putting ALL my posts in capitals when want to get my point across. It is TOTALLY the same...but if you could link that post I feel like I could defend your accusations so much BETTER...muchas gracias

But IMO, anyone can give a good speech using the right formula.

In my personal life I judge a person's character by what they do. It's hard for people to say exactly what they think and feel. Even if you consciously attempt to be totally frank, your subconscious has a huge bearing on the words you choose, on how you say them and on your body language. Skilled detectives seem to have almost a sixth sense for knowing not just when a person is lying, but what that person's body is saying.

Well maybe a media '🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬' might be a bit much but I think he regualrly sought and achieved publicity in local papers through the business and his Chamber of Commerce activities - which he is entitled to do of course, and which is good business sense. Just that I think the poster was pointing out that the family, for business reasons have sought publicity for their benefit and now have seemd to shun it as if it is unreasonable for media to be around. Everyone has a job to do and that should be respected, and if you are innocent maybe a bit more understanding and co-operation would be in order.

True, I do understand what you are saying. But I don't necessarily agree that because in your business life you have sought publicity, that it means you will be good at dealing with them in a situation such as this. I do see the things others do about lack of public emotion and many other things and I understand people being suss on that. I guess I am thinking 'how on earth would I react in a situation like that' Its horrific. And yes if it meant somehow a way to get the word out there to help find my loved one I would probably front the media. But then again maybe I would be incapable of functioning properly and too distraught and need someone to do speak for me. I don't know whats going on with his family or how they are feeling. So I can't totally condem. I just don't think using publicity for business doesn't necessarily mean you court it in your private life and as someone else said. I don't know what is going on with their family or how they are feeling. It is true people do deal with things in different ways than we may, and we may not understand it.

Just by the by.......am in bed, nothing is on in our house. Can hear very clearly people talking in street, but they are on verandah, approx 30m I'd say. Can hear neighbor yelling at her kids...( womens voices I think carry more due to pitch and tone??). Can hear others giggling. Very likely BC neighbors heard IMHO almost everything that may have gone on. If they were curious, they may even have turned down TV to hear goings on, especially if regular occurrence .......any other ideas??

you are right in semi rural..it is possible to hear quite a bit from the neighbours at night.. Suprising, I think many people assume on acreage you would not hear anything- not true.

Yes I know that Berry..I wanna know what Bayside is up to tonight?
sorry mods (head is totally hanging in shame) :blushing:[/

I am not up to anything tonight, my husband is already asleep within an hour of getting home and the bottle of plonk is still on the table with the dishes lol.

Haha... so you're keeping the wine to go with Keentoknows fireworks ??

yes. very true. I was ready to call the Police on one of the neighbours only a week or so after ALlison dissapeared. (Think I was a bit spooked by that). There was almighty row..I was at the window listening ready to dial 000.(I might add I wasn't eavesdropping..just trying to guage whether I needed to ring QPS)
