Yeah look the person that posted that was deliberately trying to cause a diversion....I'm not sure what the motivation was the only connection I could make was a geographical one that they lived in Townsville so may have been connected to someone else that lived in Townsville....MOO

PS I didn't sleuth this person whilst they were a member I had encountered them on another place prior (where they weren't under a nom de plume) sprouting the same rubbish pretty much word for word including the attacks on the police...

PPS I did sleuth them before either of us were members lol :)

cheers!

That person certainly was......I have only come across two posters that I felt have had seriou agendas here....and the person you speak of was one of them. I asked hubby if I should call the police about the poster.....and he thought I was a lunatic....lol So I left it. I just felt they were close to people involved and were being misleading.

One thing that struck me about the media coverage of the search for Allison and the finding of her body was that this was missing at the end of the articles:
If you or someone you know may be at risk of suicide contact Lifeline 13 11 14, beyondblue 1300 22 46 36, or Salvo Care Line 1300 36 36 22.
It is usually repeated like a mantra at the end of missing persons articles.

Yes, well spotted!

I've always thought it possible the body could have been thrown over, or pushed under the railings (as one possibility). And then I went out to the site last week and had a really good look at the area where the body was found and the surrounding access etc, and I believe that the body could have been bordering on being just outside of being under the bridge. So it could have been thrown over. However looking at the access I also think it's very possible it could have been carried down/dragged and placed there.

My feelings exactly when I went there!!!! But I firmly believe she was placed there IMO

Im too far away to have any idea....But from what I see, I agree with you and Itsthevibe too. Either thrown over or placed. I dont know why, but I dont feel she was swept down the creek.....I just think they wanted her dumped and wanted wanted her dumped quick.

I remember that too....Well done for bringing that one back up :) .....Many in here took umbrage that this was in the media coverage....and felt it was in poor taste....almost as though it was backing up what OW was saying and that it was adding to that false impression trying to be forged out.

... and they wanted her to be found in a not too distant future, but after some decomposition to cover evidence IMO.

so you left him with only a simmering impression that you were a lunatic and not a full blown lunatic :P

I agree though this person came on with absolute fanaticism that you HAD to believe them...and that the police were arrogant and foolish if they didn't follow the (mis)lead that was being purported...I can only go with my gut instinct that this person's connection was geographically based....to a certain other person or person(s)... :moo: moooooooooo

Yep....Some seem to think they didnt want her found.......But to not have her found, would mean a much longer wait on insurance payout (eg Lockyer Valley missing have just been declared dead in the last few days). She was in a spot where she was going to be found eventually.....and I think that is just how they wanted it. I think they were wanting it to go a little longer before she was found though.

Oh .... so it WAS at the end of the articles???? I thought it wasn't, but those first few days my mind was like mush because I had been living in a tent for a week ...

Its really good that you have asked that......It is something that has confused me.

She was supposedly part of a walking club (said much earlier in the piece), then im sure it was indicated that she wasnt into sports or something like that.

So in reality, did she really regularly go walking?

I'm not sure about the walking group. At least in the media someon from the walking group said they did not know Allison, as in she did not walk with them.

Oh yes....I cant remember if it was like google add cyclers, or on video coverage. But I remember seeing it and us discussing it.

IMO Olivia was the only one fronting the media because she was the only one believing that Allison was really missing without reason.

Have to disagree with you on this one. What Olivia said and what Olivia did were two different things. When Allison's body was found, she (and her brother) had the perfect opportunity to use the media to express outrage and vow to catch whoever did this to her. What did she do when media approached? Ran up the neighbours driveway to get away from them. Imo she had been briefed of the circumstances.

you know its funny, I never did notice that ..Usually I would but don't recall it.

Just a thought, which possibly has been mentioned. I don't know how often OW would see or talk to Allison normally. IF GBC is involved, perhaps the 'she was depressed' line was something he told them and thats why they run with it(they may not have known any different)..MOO

ah. maybe why I didn't notice. I was at first getting my news on it from TV and hardcopy newspaper..and when I look at the online stuff..I don't take in some of the advert and stuff around the page..

Yep, nothing about her was in alignment....MOO

She was good at reversing in her parents driveway with window down....and deliberately wound window up as if to give the media a big F&$K YOU....I felt it was like the BCs sheer concern about self...ie their privacy, placed much more importance, than the fact she had recently found out her sister in law was DEAD.

For example, here's one where she is missing, and depression is mentioned (quoting Allison's friends, not OW): http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/search-to-resume-for-missing-brookfield-woman-allison-baden-clay/story-e6freoof-1226337500309
... the beyondblue tagline isn't there

another one: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/parents-make-plea-for-missing-mother/story-e6frg6nf-1226336600239
... no tagline

Mine too...I'm not local and I can only go by pictures but have always had a hard time getting my head around her being washed that far and miss debris. It looks like the concrete platform is pretty dry so perhaps whoever put her there stood on it and placed her body just under it. jmo
