What, the polices mouth?..........When others come in with info,.It is rumour, someone else comes in, and its from the horses mouth?

SO, some people here are now gospel, while others are just crap spinners?

How the devil on the internet can one tell, who is telling truth of what is, as opposed to what isn't?

Not possible.
the horse was the person who saw him there and stopped and spoke to him

- Prado was damaged prior to Allison's disappearace
- evidence of Google searches about "masking DNA" and "accessing life insurance

We are getting lots of rumours to the list aren't we, and some may well have basis in fact, but without verification its hard to know.. I wonder if there is a way to state whether the rumour is credible or not..

I believe something I was told regarding the computer due to where the info came from(not necessarily what you have stated)..But again while it is my belief, it can not be verified by me. So I accept that it is to be taken as rumour, regardless of what I know or not, until such time as it can be verified. And I guess there are many other posters info like that.

I have been having a think about this case this morning, to try get some ideas from the verified information we have. Some discussion points:

1. has the house ever been declared the primary crime scene - I am wondering if it was called a crime scene, because that was the last place the police were told Allison was seen, or something along those lines..

2. Is it possible that Allison invited someone else into the house? I know that doesn't fit with GBC's stories.

3. I am wondering why the perpetrator drove the distance to Kholo Creek to dispose of the body, there is lot of bushland around Brookfield where you could have left a body.

4. What advantage was there in Allison being a missing person, rather that a murder victim. If wshe was hidden so you won't have been found that is what she would have been - a missing person.

5. We have talked a lot about the life insurance, do time limitations apply in these types of cases to payouts, as in 7 years before missing people can be declared dead and the policy paid out by the Insurer.

6. I am wondering why Allison sister is not seen as the logical guardian of the girls. She is certainly a closer in age and more energetic to lead three young girls through the teenage years.

7. I recall Allison close friends saying she was a very private person, I am wondering if that is what GBC is like as well. I believe his solicitor has forbidden him from making a public statement, but I am wondering as a private person whether he wouldn't find all this attention overpowering and is just reverting to his normal personality.

Just a few things I have thought, do you have any ideas?

Point 1 - The home was declared a "crime scene" but not "primary" IMO
Point 4 - Advantage is that if it remains as a "missing person", it will take years to declare someone "legally dead" and interested parties will be unable to collect any insurance until then IMO.
Point 6 - Good point. We don't know much about her sister, she may have several kids already?
Point 7 - From what we have seen in his business video and his blog, he appears to be an outgoing person. IMO.

Hi Squizzey, I am also a local and have been told the same story - and yes, it was reported to the police - because it was at a time when the buses stopped running - the person apparently stopped, knowing there were no more buses and asked the guy if he needed any help, because he/she thought it strange to see an elderly person sitting at the bus stop late at night.

Cannot confirm it was NBC though.

Hi CC,
I've met him on several occasions and yes, very outgoing and almost smarmy - I put that down to being a real estate agent though.

I think for the purpose of this forum, until something has been mentioned by the media or QPS, we need to keep it in the "rumour" category. We are at the mercy of the media with regard to verifying anything.

See, then this is different again.....Because I was of the understanding that the person who did stop, actually knew at that given time, that it was Nigel Baden Clay (not just some elderly guy). So now, we have two people who have seen Nigel at the bus stop that night.....One that knew him, and one that saw some elderly guy at the bus stop.

Ohhhhhh not in the trailer. Another rumor...:doorhide:

Unless we were standing at the end of the bed and saw these things.....we cannot say he had a mistress either.

Gee not many things we can say really.....Maybe buy a gluestick and use it for lip balm.
:floorlaugh:

:floorlaugh: ALthough the affair was reported in the Media and its said to Police.. but yeah.. lol

Hi everyone - I'm back from a little holiday in exile and I do apologise if I offended anyone before I left on my journey... :)

I've been reading avidly every day and as always I'm very interested to see all of your thoughts on what is going on and what went down. I am so hopeful that each day brings us closer to answers for Allison's family, and justice.

For those of you who might be interested in a local story (if not, skip it please!), I saw Nigelaine this morning at one of the bigger local shopping centres. I had come out of a grocery-type shop at the same time as them and we were standing right by each other sorting out our bags etc, when I realised who I was standing next to! We started to walk off side by side, then I dropped back a bit and walked behind them for quite a distance. Please note I was not following deliberately, I was going that way anyway to get to the carpark! And I did not stare obviously at them as I would hate them to feel that I was - I'm sure they are getting enough of that lately.

I recall that Keyboredom mentioned he saw them recently too, and he noted that NBC looked old and frail. I must admit that he looked about as old as I expected, and he had a hearing aid in one ear (not sure if both, definitely in one). However, I may have caught him on a better day, as he didn't look overly frail to me. I was quite surprised by his height - I'm a fairly tall gal (175cm) and was wearing my boots today so a bit taller again :) - and he seemed much taller than me. Enough for me to be surprised by his height anyway. Perhaps he just has good, strong posture - he wasn't bent over or hunched or anything like that. I would say he is in pretty damn good fettle for his age from what I saw - but just my opinion from seeing them for a very short time of course. EBC looked pretty much exactly as you would have seen her in the news footage. They appear to be a very unified couple.

Seeing them in person, does make it all seem even more real. I walked behind them, hoping against hope that they aren't involved in Allison's death in any way. I thought of the hell they must be going through, if they are innocent. They must be under an incredible amount of stress. I also found myself feeling a bit angry when I thought of the possiblity that they may not be so innocent, and my heart aching for Allison and the girls again.

Anyway, I thought some of you might be interested in this.

Yep..agreed.. I just wondered as I thought the suggestion from a Mod a few days back(and not sure who now) regarding what a poster had drawn up on another case..had all the rumours and where they came from and..yeah..thats sounding like a bit of work isnt it. lol

The list was prepared with the intention of clarifying these as rumours, because some posters don't have the time to read the whole 18 threads and when they pick-up the discussion somewhere along the line, some of them appear to be taking some of these rumours as facts.

Point taken CC but as the list grows it becomes more and more obvious that at least 80% (IMO) of the content of discussion here has been based on rumor and speculation. Speculation creates rumor I would think. I have no agenda in saying this just my observation. I think the 'Rumor' list is a BRILLIANT idea...well done!!
It sort of says what I have been trying to say.:banghead:

Thanks for that. My informant said it was NBC they know him

If anyone is interested in a great book about creepy feelings/intuition and keeping yourself safe, I would highly recommend the book The Gift of Fear
by Gavin De Becker.

He goes right into how we unconsciously pick up on signals and how women often dismiss thier gut feelings because we are trained to be polite.

It's a great read and if you have teenage daughters I would also highly recommend giving them a copy to read.

Sorry this is slightly off topic, but I hope it helps someone.

A book suggestion that came up when I went to read about The Gift of Fear on Amazon was 'The Sociopath Next Door' ....... Interesting and probably worth a read!

Willough, perhaps it was. As far as I'm aware, this person did not confirm it was NBC - but yes, definitely a person at the bus stop at this time. I am also assuming it is the bus stop on the roundabout proper (near the KSS pool) as it has a seat and is covered. I cannot recall what the bus stop outside Rentals West on the other side of the roundabout looks like - but this particular bus stop is heading out towards Brookfield, rather than Kholo Creek.

My educated guess, then, is that they are talking about the KSS side, but I cannot be sure.

It's difficult as I think everyone is hoping for a resolution and starting to clutch at straws in the hope that something hasn't been missed.

There's been an unverified snippet that the Prado was damaged in the week prior to ABC's disappearance:

I haven't read all posts yet, so apologise if already covered...

GBC had a car crash down Moggill Road, near the Taringa C21 offices the week before Allison went missing. When I mentioned it to my friend who worked there, they described where the damage was and looked like without me even telling them. So, 99.9% sure this was caused by that accident.

Someone here offered an alternative scenario for the damage, i.e. hitting a Koppers log post or fence. Interestingly, the BC residence fence posts & railings are Koppers logs (round CCA treated pine). See the flower tribute pic in this article:

http://www.news.com.au/national/hop...d-at-kholo-creek/story-e6frfkvr-1226343535002

Just something I noticed.

Also, Hawkins made a comment about fluorescent magnetic fingerprint powder (for forensics) somewhat out-of-the-blue yesterday.

I read in my Boys Own Book of Crime Investigation the other day (sorry don't have a link to an online version) that often a fluorescent magentic dusting powder can be used to highlight prints on metal to give them a stronger contrast in order to be photographed. Just IMO MOO.

I couldn't work out whether it was in relation to the scenario of the Prado crashing into the Kholo Bridge guard rail, or whether it was a 'clue' to further ponder all the possible crime scenes with metal surfaces - Kholo bridge railing, guard rail adjacent to bridge, bus stop (where NBC was rumoured to have been seen late on April 19th)...any others?

Or maybe Hawkins was hinting that if one expects the driver's prints to be on the damaged panels/bonnet, it might indicate who the driver was at the time of the accident. Perhaps someone other than GBC? But that wouldn't provide any clue as to where and when the prang occurred.

JMO, MOO and probably over-analysing.

If I remember correctly, Hawkins' comment was in relation to questions by other posters about dark marks on the bonnet of the Prado. Suggestion was that the fingerprinting powder/substance used could leave darker marks on the metal.
